This is a much more flexible and powerful device and only needs a good wristband which I purchased online for under $12.00. Battery life is reasonable but not as good as the Fitbit. That is really driven by how you setup the apps that you enable.

For example if you're doing bench press, or like leg curls, it don't count the reps,what I notice ,it will go into like a stopwatch mode and time the workout, and show the calories burn. It's great looking, and feeling The battery is great ,and it works great in the pool,when you're swimming.

It tells me I have messages, but it doesn't have the capabilities to show me the messages or play them to me (no speaker on the phone at all). I do like that it tracks my workouts even when it's not paired to my phone. Overall, it's a good watch for the price I paid.
