But after having so many problems with the gear fit pro2, I am scared to get this one wet - and I really wanted it for swimming! Also, the first one I got would not hold a charge, so had to exchange. We'll see how this one goes.

I purchased my watching at the end of May. This watch is advertised as a sport watch that can be used to track exercises such as swimming. After swimming in my pool that is all of 4 feet the screen went out. Samsung customer service was absolutely terrible and would not replace my watch as it had water damage. Even though it is advertised as water resistant up to several feet of water. Anyway, thankfully I purchased the Best Buy warranty and they got me my new watch and protective cover no problem. Since then my new watch has been fine, but I won't be using it to track my swimming during the summer months.

This watch works a lot better than I thought it would I'm not one for a standard watch band but it was super easy to get used to. The watch's easy to use user friendly, the only downfall I have is it does not work well when it gets wet so if your swim and you can't really use the touch screen because it doesn't properly register and then sometimes it'll start light not like you're touching it when you're in the water which wastes the battery. Over all however this is a fantastic watch

I was fairly happy with this watch for the 4 months I've worn it, but the back fell off! This will make it non-water resistant. Hopefully, it didn't get damage when it was on my sweaty wrist all morning. I'm sure if I had been swimming, it would be DOA. I googled the issue and it seems that it is a common problem and should be recalled. Glad that I bought the Product Protection but can't access it. No Geek Squad Appointments available in my area.

Really enjoyed this watch for first couple months. Then I got in 4 feet of water. Sparky there's a water mode to put the watch in. Now the screen is pixelated and 100% brightness all the time and there nothing I can do about it. And of course this happened immediately after the warranty expired. Again, I had no problems with it before i got in a shallow hotel pool.

Love the watch, but, it said it was swim ready, well its not. My sister got hers wet and samsung would not relace it.

Enjoyed using this watch, until it stopped working after less than a year of everyday use. Definitely is not a water proof watch, as the display went out after wearing this in a pool for a short period. Can be deceiving as there are swim workout settings in the watch.

This watch is trash!! It broke within 60 days. I wash my hands a lot but the watch is supposed to be water resistant. Now Samsung wants to charge me $155.87 to fix this watch they say has water damage. Battery life is less than a day when it's connected to phone via Bluetooth. I was an avid Samsung customer. My last 8 phones have been Samsung. I also have galaxy buds and a Samsung tablet. After this experience I am no longer a Samsung customer.

I swam with it and it stopped working, I got a new one and the screen froze once already. If I want to return it I have to pay 40 dollars for the warranty again. It has been a little disappointing:(

I bought this for my daily exercise, thinking it would give me my stats as I'm working out. I have to stop walking for it to measure my heart rate, and it always says to clean the sensor. I sweat when I walk and was under the assumption this watch was water resistant so for me to consistently have to stop my workout is a hassle. I'd return it if I still could.

Great watch until i went swimming. It died the next day. So long for a water proof sports watch.

For one of the 1st "active" versions of the Galaxy series, this watch has been great. My wife and I both have this watch and it has been paired with about 3 phones of the course 3+ years. The bands are comfortable. The only reasons this watch doesn't get 5 stars is due to its limited water proof ability (depth, length of time in water) and not having some of the newer health features. Great starter Smart Watch for first timers. We plan to upgrade to the Watch5 in the near future.

Swam with it twice in a 6ft deep pool died after the second time swimming. Was told by samsung warranty was voided due to water damage.

I had this watch for 3 or 4 months before I started having issues. It started with rapid battery loss and shortly after became outright unusable. I sent the watch in to the warranty center and they came back saying the warranty was void. They claimed there was water damage that isn't covered. They asked me for 220 to repair it. The whole marketing for this watch is being water resistant up to 50m and that it can be used to track swimming workouts. I've never even showered with it. This watch isn't safe to wash your hands with apparently. I tried calling to make things right but nobody seemed to know who I need to talk to. I spent probably a total of 8 hrs on the phone trying to fix this to no avail.

Watch functioned well enough to track workouts and forward texts from my phone. Heart rate was often inaccurate or dropped off during workouts. Watch is described as water resistant, but mine broke just barely a year after I bought it when I went in a pool standing in about a 3 feet deep water. Samsung said water damage is not covered and wanted nearly full price paid for the watch to repair. No thanks

Whatever you do, don't expose this watch to any amount of water! My husband gifted me this watch in 10/2019 and on 07/2020, the watch already had "water damage" from washing dishes & a ruined motherboard. Samsung is charging me $155 to fix the watch & claim their warranty does not cover "water damage or physical damage". The watch is NOT water resistant as they promote it to be!

Im so upset that it broke I after just 2 years! With the amount of money i spent and with normal and minimal wear I took a bath with it on and it shut off and never came back on. Now you can see moisture in the sensors underneath the watch. Warranty wont cover it and im out of a watch with no fault of my own!

Watch clams it is water resistant but because of poor build quality water got through the glass backing of my watch. Samsung said it was my fault for letting water get into the watch and voided my warranty. The watch is less than a year old! Avoid Samsung!!!!
