I've used an apple watch (my wife has one) and I upgraded to this from the Fitbit versa. This has a battery life that is well more than double the apple watch but not quite as good as the Fitbit. I would estimate with heavy use the battery life is about 40 hour.

My husband got me this watch for Christmas and wow . Absolutely great. Tracks my sleep and it’s able to let me know when I’m stressed out . Reminds me to move around when I’ve been to still. Over all it helps me stay active and want to be active .

I am really enjoying my first truly SMART Watch. I choose the active after researching multiple options. I have had 4 Fitbits and they do not last over 2 years. Love my Samsung phone so this pairing is perfect. I also like that this watch is made of aluminum,

This now the second Samsung product with which I have had such significant problems that I've now sworn off their products altogether. I suppose it's decent as a smart watch, with a good number of apps for extending your phone and doing payments and things like that. But I was in the market for a fitness tracker that would also allow me to play music without having to lug my phone around. I was coming from a Fitbit Ionic which had originally supported must storage and playback great but at some point stopped letting me transfer music to it (likely a software update just broke things). It was also giving me problems with charging and so I thought an upgrade was in order. After much studying and searching, I decided on the Galaxy Active Absolute mistake. On at least two occasions it reset the watch face of its own accord. On one of those occasions, only a couple of weeks into owning it, it completely unpaired from my phone forcing me to redo the whole setup. Additionally, there are multiple apps you have to install on your phone to get everything out of it. Oh and it turns out the only way to transfer music to it is FROM your phone. So I have to transfer the music I want from my computer to my phone first, THEN to the watch from the phone. Ridiculous. Unfortunately, the worst of it was it's viability as a fitness watch. Now, I am by no means an Iron Man, so I expected it to keep up with my modest workout regimen. Not so. Mileage on runs was always wrong (usually an extra 1/10 of a mile per mile). Mileage on bike rides was non-existent; always 0 miles ridden. To make things even worse, these problems have apparently been around FOR YEARS. I've found countless posts on numerous forums going back to at least 2019 complaining about one or both of these issues, even on the Active 2 and Active 3. But apparently Samsung can't (or won't) fix them. I'm done with this watch and done with Samsung. If I was looking for just a smart watch to get my texts and emails on and (eventually) listen to music, I guess it'd be fine. But for the things I wanted it to do, it's been a monumental disappointment

I bought this watch because I started working out and I read great reviews and everyone said it was great and confirmed it is great. I had to return because I wanted to be able to leave my cell at home and just bring my watch once in awhile.

I gave this watch to my very picky girlfriend for her birthday and she loves it. She is very happy with all the functions and the ease of use when customizing everything. It does not make or receive calls but you get all of your alerts on the watch. She loves it.

Love the watch and all it does. There are still many things I need to learn. I originally bought it for the blood pressure function. Not sure I'm doing that right because the reading is always the same.

I love it so far, the only thing I didn't know was you have to activate the waterproof feature and I thought that was strange, but besides that it links well to my workout and and it tracks my steps and workouts, especially the HR.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She loves the ease of connectivity and the the features on this watch. You can answer calls with it but still have to have your phone to talk, or you can use ear buds. Overall a really great product.

Its a good watch if you want only the basics on a smart watch. My wife liked it but after seeing what galaxy watch did we returned this one and got the upgraded version . This is still a good watch if you dont want all the fancy stuff the galaxy watch has

I think it's good, I would have given it 5 stars if you can speak on the watch like some of the other models. You can only answer the calls but have to speak using your phone not though the watch. Other then that, its a great watch.

I know it says it is an active watch, and due to that it has great features, but it is also great for every day wear. I got this when I switched from an Iphone to Google Pixel and couldn't use my Apple Watch anymore. It works amazing! I love it.

Purchase this is a gift for my wife to upgrade from her Fitbit. the only issue she had with it is that her past Fitbit history did not moving to the Samsung app easily. it took a third party app. But passed that she enjoys this watch.

I bought this watch because of the price. It works well. My problem is that it only has limited screens with the second hand and I need that for work. It was also difficult to keep on. Couldn't figure out how to get it to stay on longer.

I bought this primarily as a fitness tracker, but I thought it'd be nice to have a few smartwatch capabilities. Samsung apparently removed all ability to sync with 3rd party apps Sept. 1 of this year. My salesman didn't know this either. You are forced to use Samsung Health. SH is a very limited app compared to others and there are freaking adds. There is no way to transfer the data to your dr or print a report unless you download developer software. A lot of food has to be manually input and there is no bar code scanner like many other apps. The altimeter is completely useless. I climb 12 flights of stairs daily as a minimum and I'm lucky if it counts 1. I've been lucky to get a day and a half out of the battery. And that's after I changed a ton of settings and disabled some stuff. And don't get me started on not being able to completely disable Bixby. The only thing good about this thing the hardware. Its well built. Too bad the software is crap. I would suggest you don't trust reviews like I did and read all about all of the known problems on various support blogs and boards. I'm going back to Fitbit!!
