Love the size, weight, and look of the watch. The battery life is poor as the watch requires charging every 24 to 36 hrs.

Bought this 40mm and a 44mm in Cloud Silver. Really hated the 44mm configuration. It looked and felt cheap and unbalanced with the width strap they use on it. The 40mm seemed a lot better. It looked more balanced and classier. Plus it was cheaper compared to the 44mm. So thumbs up on the 40mm and thumbs down on the 44mm. If you want or need a bigger watch face, get a GW3 or even an Original Galaxy Watch (better build and balance)

To start off, I was debating between buying the Fitbit Versa and the asamsung Galaxy Active because they are both in the same price range. Although I've been wanting the Samsung Galaxy Frontier, I didn't go for it because I didn't have the budget for it. Anyway, after putting so much though into the Versa and the Active, putting side by side the pros and cons of each one. I ended up buying this watch. I have had this watch for at least a week already, and i gotta say that apart from the battery life, i feel very pleased with my watch. The battery life of my watch lasts maybe a two days and a half (haven't put it to test for the whole two days and a half though). Each day it seems like my batter go down 20% depending on how much I use it. So if you use most of the features the Active watch has to offer, then yes, you will drain your watch in one day. I charged my watch last night, and tonight my watch is at 84% of charge. Yet, my brightness is almost all the way down to not make it consume too much battery and I can still see everything just fine. The features I use on my watch are messages (txt and Instagram messages), calls, school emails and just reminders to be active. So i don't use too many features on my watch. I do have to say, I don't necessarily enjoy having to charge my watch every night or every two nights; but for what this watch has to offer i can't really complain. I have a fitbit blaze that also works amazing, still works. But it cannot compare to the Active because of the multiple features it has. The Blaze I used it more for receiving notifications, controlling my music, the time and checking my steps. The Active watch does way more than that. The fitbit versa I'm sure it's a good watch, even better battery at that, yet I read way too many bad reviews for that watch that I preferred to give the Active a chance. So far I'm not dissapointed, it has worked perfectly fine, haven't tested 100% so it hasn't fully passed, but so far so good.

First of all, for $200, it makes this watch extremely valuable because this watch is not only appealing but also could do so many things throughout the day. The GW Actice constructs with high quality materials and it also light. This watch has lots of cool features. It not only keeps interacting with your daily activities but also keeping its record too. With all being said the GW Active worth every penny and not to mention that it does support Android and iOS systems.

I bought this watch originally as a late birthday present/early Mother's Day Gift. I was so impressed with the watch I also caved and bought myself one. As a disclaimer we both have different types of Samsung phones. We were sold on the sleep tracker! It kept track in time of any naps taken throughout the day by chance as well as if we woke up anytime during the night! Notifications from our phone and the options of replying on the watch was a feature we didn't realize we needed until now! We both have the same color and type of watch so personalizing the screen really helped differentiate between ownership! ALSO, the Find My Phone feature has been a lifesaver for both of us! I tend to always have my phone on silent or vibrate so it's a nightmare trying to find my phone or hers if we lose them. But with the Find My Phone option the phone will ring regardless on what setting the phone sound was on! Also we both appreciate that the watch came with different band length options! I didn't need it but my mother utilized it! Overall, after a month of daily use and working with it I am absolutely glad I purchased this watch for the both of us! I think the only minor complaints I have is the sleep tracker sometimes thinks I'm still sleeping even though I'm just laying in bed haha! We wished we didn't need to buy earbuds to be able to take calls or listen to Spotify. It's also a new habit of now charging our watches more often (we previously owned a pair of $30 watch that had a week lobg battery but had an unreliable connection with our phone and physically broke on us after constant wear and overall wasn't as reliable). The font on the watch is sometimes too small for my mother but compared to the benefits these are small minor inconveniences that we can live in!

I can honestly say that I love this smartwatch. While it's battery life may leave some people wishing for one of the larger, more expensive watches in the Galaxy line, or a less expensive, dedicated fitness tracker, it's not really that much of a concern. I keep the wireless charger base next to where I sit in the evenings, and just charge it to full before bed. On that charge, the watch will last well over 24 hours, though that time depends on what settings you have active, and whether you use it's different app capabilities. Like a lot of smartwatches with fitness elements, at default it will remind you to get up and get moving after an hour of inactivity on weekdays, during 'active' hours. It will also automatically recognize and record any activity that results in you moving your arms, even something as simple as gestures with one's hand during an extended conversation. There are a lot of little things to love about the Galaxy Watch Active. When receiving messages and texts, you can reply using preset responses, use the touchscreen to actually write the letters one at a time, or say your response aloud. It also has lots of little options for personalizing the watch to suit your tastes or situation, from the brightness of the screen, the various modes you can enable(like goodnight mode, which disables alerts and the watch face while you sleep, or theater mode, which retains alerts, but disables the watch face while active), and the look of the watch face itself. Additionally, with many of the built-in watch faces you can customize those still further based on the information you want readily available at a glance. If you're in the market for a device that will let you track your activity and sleep, or just function as a sleek backup to your phone and keep you from needing to pull it out as often, this is a great option.

When purchasing this item, I was primarily looking for a watch to track my heart rate and physical activities. This watch does so much more. I love the variety of looks/displays available to choose from. If I had any complaints they would be for the battery life (not quite 2 days) and the display size. Some of the text is too small to see with my "old eyes" but you can't expect too much when the watch is only 40mm. Great smartwatch!

I have been wanting a Samsung watch for a while but I was not ready to pay 300 dollars for one so when I saw the price of the active and did a comparison of what they offer the difference was small enough that the active would work just fine for me. It is also easy to use and very comfortable. I love Samsung products and I’m sure all the Samsung watches are good just research and compare the differences to see what works for you.

After careful consideration I went ahead and purchase the Samsung watch over the Fitbit. I found that Samsung makes wonderful products and love that it has more features then the fitbit plus I have the S9 which is super compatible. I just learn that I can reply back to text messages through audio and the system picks up my voice very well! I don't have to carry around my phone to track my fitness loving the fitness part as well!

This is my first experience with a Smartwatch. It was pretty easy to set-up. I purchased mostly for fitness tracking, and it does what I wanted. I like the visual of your daily activity, and stress measurement the most. There are many options for apps which I will probably never use. I am still getting used to it, but so far, I like this watch. Only disappointment is battery life-when it needs charging, do it during the day if you want to track sleep.

Does goodkeeping track of and recording workouts, and daily activity, as well as sleep patterns. Reminds you to be active if you havent moved in an hr or so. If im in the other room from my phone its hard to get the audio txt to keep up, battery needs to be charged every other day or 2 days. I haven't used the map, not sure how to get to that. But overall for what ive used it for its great! Especially love the stress alerts, and reminders to breath.

I bought this for my wife and she really likes it. We tried an off-brand one and she wore it for about 12 hours and returned it. Nothing on it worked right. She has a Galaxy phone, so i figured i would try this for her. She has been wearing it ever since. It just works. the only downside to it is the battery life. she has to charge it every other day and sometimes even more often than that. That said, she would recommend it to anyone, she really likes it.

I'm enjoying my new Samsung active watch. It's comfortable and fun to wear. I love tracking my steps and workouts. The blood pressure app is not out yet so I can't review that, but the stress & heart rate app is very nice. There is a microphone so you can text, email, make reminders by speaking. There is no speaker, so you can't answer a phone call without your phone.

I love this watch. I had the Galaxy watch and even though I really liked it I felt that it was too big for my wrist. This watch fits better and is more comfortable to sleep in. Even though the battery life isn't as good as the Galaxy watch I do find that I can get almost 2 days out of a single charge. Note for possible users: it does not have a speaker so it only vibrates and doesn't answer phone calls. Personally I prefer this but just a heads up

this is an upgrade for me from the gear fit (gen 1). i like the look of it on my wrist (the bigger one was too big, and i have small wrists). i like the ease of it, and it doesn't feel too heavy or look clunky. i may get another wrist band, and i found a nice watch protector that covers the entire thing and matches perfectly. still learning it, and setting it to what makes sense. but overall i'm very happy with it. i also got it at a great price!

I really like this as it helps me track fitness goals. I like the reminders to keep moving. Haven't used all the features but it does well tracking steps. I wish it measured blood pressure. I also wished there was better battery life, although it notifies you when battery is low and allows you to change the settings to save battery which has been pretty good about giving me a little more time. I still have to recharge every other day.

Overall super satisfied with this watch- it pairs well even to non-Samsung devices and does pretty much everything(the only exception being that for whatever reason the watch doesn’t have a native timer app). I will say that the battery doesn’t last quite as long as I expected, but for as sleek of a watch it is a little battery life is worth the trade off.

I upgraded from a gear fit 2. The OS on this watch is much better with more features. Wish it had a speaker like the regular Galaxy Watch but its worth giving up for the price reduction. As others stated it would look better without such a large bezel around the screen. I get about two days on one charge. My watch came with the heart rate monitor set to always on, which drains the battery. Just make sure to set it to every 10 minutes.
