I really liked the smaller form-factor of this watch..didn't miss the rotating bezel at all... same high Samsung quality as the Galaxy Watch. I NEVER have the syncing issues with Samsung and my Galaxy S8 phone like I do with my Fitbit Versa.... BUT... this watch has the same Issue I had with the Galaxy Watch... terrible accuracy on the heart rate monitor... my normal resting heart rate is between 58-60bpm.... at rest, the Samsung would show my BPM anywhere from 70 to 240! Also, during my daily 4 mi walk, The watch would frequently stop showing a heart rate at all, or jump to 240..occasionally it would give an accurate reading of 120-132... so, I returned it and am still using Fitbit..... everything else worked fine... calls, text msgs..steps and floors counted etc. Unfortunately, I had to return it.

I originally purchased a Fit 2 Pro earlier this year, because I was not really keen on the idea of wearing a big watch. That was back in January. Come September, for my birthday. I saw the Galaxy Watch Active and tried it on. My wrists are small,so I was expecting that the band would be way too big and that the larger watch face would feel bulky on my wrist. I was pleasantly surprised to find it's actually very comfortable and the band breathes really well. The features are great, and the app is I intuitive and easy to navigate. I wish I had purchased this sooner, but at least I've got it now. The sleep function and step counter may be off just a little bit, but if those features aren't deal breakers for you this is a great watch!

This is my first smart watch, and please note that this is based off of an open-box Watch. It was open-box due to cosmetic reasons. Overall, it's a solid watch, but there are some features that seem counterintuitive or just lack common sense. The Pros: -Lightweight: I barely notice that I have it. I have a case on it and the weight barely changed. -Stylish: it's simple and clean -Music: one of the primary things I looked for was if I could store music on it. Yep! I can transfer files from my phone to my watch. Easily done on the Wearable app -Battery: great battery life. Not fully charged (I think I was around 70ish %), the watch lasted 2 hours with the running and music app working. It dropped down to 19% in that timeframe. Fully charged and with very minimal use, the watch lasted from 4/4 3pm to 4/6 10:30pm (it dropped to 15% battery); I did use it one night to track my sleep, which knocked out about 10%. -Companion apps: Galaxy Wearable App and Samsung Health App help you customize the watch better, find stored information, and manage a lot of settings. The Cons: -No sound: the app doesn't produce any sound at all, which I would have preferred for notifications -Widgets: there are some widgets that are standard in any smart device. For example, a timer and stopwatch. Not in the Active. I had to go into the Galaxy App store, look for them, and download. -Design of some settings: there are a few settings that seem to have been set up backwards. For example, screen brightness: the minus/ dimming sign is on the left, the direction in which the bar moves when you INCREASE the brightness. In other words, you increase/ decrease brightness one way while the visual bar moves in the inverse direction. Not that this is a deal breaker, but it's definitely weird. -Workout info: sometimes the settings reset by themselves. I've set up my walking screen to display pace, distance, and time a certain way, but at least twice I've had to go and set them again because they randomly reset. Also, say you accidentally log in a workout. There's no way to delete it on your Watch. You have to go into the phone app and do it there. Your watch will display all the stats of a workout when you're done, so I don't see why it doesn't include a Delete button. Also, the Breathing app: does that store data anywhere? I've looked for it in every corner of my settings/ app but can't find the info. -Notifications/ sensitivity: I originally had the Active set to turn on when I turn my wrist and not to turn on every time a notification comes in. Welp, it didn't quite work. Sometimes just minimally turning my wrist would turn the screen on, but when a notification came in (I would know because of the vibration), no matter how much I moved my wrist the watch didn't turn on. So I now have it set to always turn on when a notification comes in, which has worked perfectly, but wasn't my preference. These are the biggest points I've dealt with. I do appreciate the watch because it's disconnected me from my phone. I can easily see what comes in and decide how to respond. I'd recommend it because there are workarounds to the "issues" I've listed, and because the price seems to have gone down more. But I'm left feeling that there might have been a better option.

To start off, this things looks great! Lots of complements for the style. I had a 42mm black before and it was great too but too bulky. This version fixed that issue. The only thing I miss is the rotary dial but for the gym, this touch screen design does make more sense. I highly recommend a screen protector though as the screen is now more exposed. Setup is easy on iOS with the Galaxy Wear app. It is limited functionality though as you can not text from the watch or use Samsung Pay on iOS. If you have Android, this is all GTG as you get full functionality. If you can get it at a discount, it is a no-brainer, go get it. At full price, just know the limitations if on iOS before deciding. For fitness it is great as it has loads of functionality of a traditional fitness tracker.

This watch is pretty good but it took me a while to learn how to navigate seeing as it doesn't come with a manual and the app is a bit confusing. I love how you can change the display on the watch and it allows you to customize it. You just have to spend time playing with the features to learn how to work it. I would give it more stars but the battery life is pretty bad. The battery only lasts for 2 days unless you use the watch only or battery saver (which are useless if you want it to track your movements.) It also tends to disconnect on its own and half the time I can't use the "find my phone" feature.

This watch is great. Sleek design, smooth, customizable interface, and pretty accurate step and heart rate tracker. Good for people with smaller wrists that prefer a smaller face compared to the other Samsung watches.

Overall, this smart watch is great specially if you have a Samsung phone, in my case an S* and soon waiting to upgrade to an S10. It's very smooth and I had no issues with connectivity. It racks my sleep, HR and syncs with my phone for notifications no problem, HOWEVER, the battery life is not ideal. I wear it all day long and even to sleep, and on the 2nd day of wearing it, by midday, the battery is DEAD... I'm not a heavy user of it, I simply use it to check the time here and there and monitor my sleep the night before, yet by the next day, it's gone... I just hope it has a better battery life. I'm still contemplating if it's worth keeping. But in general, if it's something you can charge while you sleep and don't mind keeping it off at bedtime then it's a good smart watch.

I bought this watch today, I've been waiting for it to come out so I pre-ordered it. It was easy enough to set up on my phone, you have to download a few apps first. I feel like one thing they don't really stay in the description of what it does is that you can text on it, you can use the voice to text or the old-style T9 type keyboard. It's really cute, I got the rose gold one and it's not too big on my arm which I was worried about because I have a pretty small wrist. Overall so far I really like it. ☺️

I am one to do a lot of research for a while before I buy a new product or upgrade an item. I had the Samsung Neo 2 for the longest while but it was time to upgrade. I was between the Galaxy Active 1 or the 2 and ultimately chose this one as there was no need for the extra expense for the speaker feature on the 2. The Galaxy Watch Active has been perfect for me and especially the size is just right but if you have thick fingers I would recommend the larger size. Don't forget to make sure you order a protective screen to make the watch last, I am careful with it but still have hit it on many things and if I didn't have that I would be in the market for a new one.

To my liking, the Microsoft Band 2 was the best Training watch because you could truly created very specific guided worksouts for free. Now I have heard that you can do the same here, but I have yet to figure that out. What I know there are companies out there trying to sell you workouts which I do not think we should pay for. I tried other brands but settled on this one. And I will say that for now, I love it. Pros: Nice style and easy to navigate. Battery lasts over a day. Heart beat is incredibly accurate as I have tested it. Cons: Battery life, No guided workouts Maybe Samsung should buy out the MS technology and Cloud App and provide the same features for Free. Welcome suggestions on making the best use of this.

I have the rosegold galaxy 42mm. I love it but it's big on my wrist. I saw the active, went to best buy and looked at it & ordered it. It was easy to order at the store, came on time and I'm 100% satisfied!

Used to have a very old fit bit and upgraded for this samsung watch. Love it! With my Fitbit I used to get an irritation around my wrist from the sweat and band, even though I took it off every night and wiped it down. This band, I also take off every night and wipe down and no irritation on my skin! It's a lot to get used to with all the options and swiping, and I'm still learning about what it can do, but it's made things more convenient and I love using it to workout. I also joined a monthly step group and was happy to see I best my husband for thr month of May!! Also watched the price and got an extra $30 back when it dropped down with the 30 day period!

OveI got this watch as a Christmas present from my husband. It is a good watch overall. My issues are that I didn't realize when I asked for it that i wouldn't be able to talk on the watch itself, sweat interferes with the heartrate monitor, and i now have a hard time scrolling through screens. I can answer or reject calls from the watch, bug I was hoping to be able to talk on it in a pinch. I love that I can text from it, though. Sometimes you cang reach your phone and just want to respond real fast to someone. This watch makes that possible. I like the step counter and how it will recognize when you are working out after 10 minutes of activity.
