I was looking for something to help me keep on track to exercise and lose weight. I have a Galaxy phone and it is so easy to use. Only complaint I have is the battery life. It only lasts for 42 hours compared to my husbands Garmin watch and that is with the features to keep the screen on all the time off. If I have the screen off it will only last a day. I am ok with that because I just charge it at night when I am in bed because I really don't care about tracking my sleep.

Love this lil watch just the right size. Not to big not to small for my wrist. I can sleep with it on. And not even notice it

I love the look of this watch PERIOD!!! He design is amazing. Samsung made a small discreet watch that actually looks like a watch. I hate the bezel on the regular watch so not having it makes the device look more casual. The battery life is amazing too for the size. My only gripe is that the screen is small. There's big bezels around the screen so you're actually only using 2/3rd of it. If they could make the screen bigger or the bezels smaller in a sequel that would be amazing!

The only down sides are that the amount of calories burned that the watch calculates is way off and the battery life could be better (I have not played with the settings much to see if it will improve the battery life). If you really want a watch to calculate your burned calories, FitBit is the better choice (I use the MyZone belt), but I love all of the other features that this watch provides. My favorite is the ability to shoot off a quick text message without having to dig out my phone - very useful!

Never a problem staying connected to Galaxy note 9. I like being able to change the watch faces, but I wish more styles were available. Some of the apps on the watch seem to be a waste of space, but since the apps of the phone itself can handle these functions, it is really not missed. keeps track accurately of step data and heart rate. Connects easily to the main app on the phone. Comfortable to wear and useful.

This Samsung Galaxy Watch was a gift to my wife and she loves it! It tracks everything from fitness, to calendar events, to alarm notifications and she doesn't have to bring her phone with her all the time. Once she comes back in contact, it automatically syncs back up and with no issues. Another feature that she likes is the heart monitor and she uses this constantly. A really great buy and I have a feeling that the next newer model will exceed expectations!

First time buyer of a smart watch and I am not a tech guy, so this was perfect. Easy to use and navigate (even for me) I dropped it on its face from a counter top, not a scratch...display looks great and there are options....Love it for working out, and even at work just to keep me honest about my activity level and when I need to move around a little... Great looking too... FYI only been about 2 months but very happy!

I changed from fitbit for larger font. The large font is about the same. The band is soft and flexible, and since my wrist is tiny, this one sits more comfortably on my wrist. The battery though... Fitbit lasted a few days. This one needs charged every day, and after an hour of charging it only increases by about 20 to 30%. The screen is very nice and there are some really nice clocks to choose from. The app is very useful and informative.

my daughter is in college and needed something to keep us informed of when she was getting out of class and more importantly we could message her of important issues with out bothering her class or her professor getting upset at looking at her phone. Also since she walks allot in campus she can keep task of her steps for her fitness goals . I just wish the battery would last longer. But overall I recommend it. We are buying one for me and my wife also.

I got this watch as a trial. I wanted to try some smart watches but I didn't want to get some ultra-cheap oh and I definitely didn't want to spend way too much. I have a Samsung phone so this just made sense. This watch has a lot better features than the Fitbit Versa 2 or Versa Lite. The biggest difference in the data between the active in the Versa is that Fitbit offers a lot more granular and detailed data. The Samsung help app is no slouch but I would like to see the data in increments rather than hourly. Nonetheless all the features this device has such as the ability to read and respond to notifications from The watch even bixby is useful for a change. Even the screen flashlight is usable. I got almost a day-and-a-half of moderate use from heart rate to GPS 2 screen on time and plenty of notifications and text messages. You can connect a call to and from with the watch but you must use the phone to actually hear and speak. You cannot hear music but you can control the music on your phone. To be clear this model does not have LTE so you cannot leave your phone at home. Though it does have a microphone on it so that you can speak replies to text messages and other apps with messaging capabilities. You can also talk to bixby. The blood pressure monitor app did not seem to work with the Galaxy Active one. Some may have read reports that it was now enabled but I did not find that to be the case. It does work with the active 2. the biggest reason I returned the watch was because 40 mm is absolutely too small for a 9-inch wrist. Anything over 6in you may consider the 44 mm. but I definitely recommend the watch to anyone who doesn't want to spend extra for the second version of the active or if you have smaller wrists.

Great smart wstch for the price. Actually went through 2 as battery wouldn't keep a charge on the first. But best buys took care of it and there was no problem with the second. Still I ended up upgrading to the active 2 as I wanted to be able to use the phone and messaging feature that wasn't available on this watch. If you don't need/want that feature stay with this one it does EVERYTHING else and then some. For a lot less $$.

This watch works a lot better than I thought it would I'm not one for a standard watch band but it was super easy to get used to. The watch's easy to use user friendly, the only downfall I have is it does not work well when it gets wet so if your swim and you can't really use the touch screen because it doesn't properly register and then sometimes it'll start light not like you're touching it when you're in the water which wastes the battery. Over all however this is a fantastic watch

It does exactly what I need, doesn't have all the bells & whistles of other watches like calling & talking, but how often do you use that features? It tracks my steps, syncs with Fitness Pal, has a GPS for my running app, I can use it as a remote for music, get notifications, tracks my sleep and all for $200. That's a lot of tech at that price and it's stylish. Only reason it doesn't get a 5, is that you still need your phone along on runs... But then again... I feel safer with a phone on me anyway.

Replaced a Samsung Gear S2 with this watch. I didn't like the silicone band at first but it quickly grew on me, no more issues with odor from the leather band. The S3 size increase made it to big for my arm, I really like the 40mm size. Functions are comparable to what I was use to, just missing the ring function not huge adjustment. A quick change to the watch face gave me back a classic look. If this watch lasts 3 years like the S2 I'll be happy and at a cheaper price.
