Love/hate
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: The screen scratched SO easily. I don't even know how. I was cleaning the house, just normal stuff, I woke up today and it looks like I ran over it with sandpaper. Definitely need a screen protector! The battery life isn't great if you actually use the watch as a smartwatch. I have to charge it for at least 1.5 hours daily. Pros: I love the features. Love the apps. love the size and the look. Love the strap, it's really comfortable. I went from a 1.5 year old Fitbit ionic. I wore that day and night constantly, only plugged it in while showering and never had a problem or a flat battery. But I hated the design. It had one small scratch after 1.5 years or constant use. I expected better from Samsung.

Not too sure
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest the amount of money one pays for watches like these . I have to say I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN SAMSUNG . After watching numerous videos on youtube and doing my research online before I went ahead and purchased this watch . Just to make sure I was making a good choice first. I thought I truly was . Well well well . Let me tell you it has it flaws for sure . I have a Galaxy A20 phone. Trying to get certain things to work properly on the watch isn't easy . For an example BIXBY does NOT work on the watch . So that sucks . Being the fact I purchased the watch in hopes to stay hands free especially during this pandemic time . The fear of not having to touch my cellphone and sanitize it a trillion times . I thought the watch would be easier to satirize and manage while out on runs . BUT NOPE I was WRONG .I contacted my cell phone carrier and they suggested for me to contact Samsung I did . And for them to have me going back and forth . Telling me I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING ISSUES WITH BIXBY . That they are working on an update for it to work properly. I MEAN I SAY FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY ONE PAYS FOR THESE WATCHES YOU THINK THEY'D MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WORKS 100% BEFORE PUTTING ON THE MARKET. I mean thats just ME . Also , I'm not receiving any of my picture messages as I've seen on YouTube videos that the watch is suppose to do so . It says on the watch "MEDIA CONTENT CHECK PHONE" . . . . I mean WHY? If that's the purpose of the watch . To do as a phone would show the picture. Sad . Also if you want the watch for exercise and to stay active. It it off a lot. I could be sitting down feeding my newborn and just from lifting up my arm it shows I've walked so many steps and burned so many calories. REALLY JUST FROM SITTING THERE . I just highly recommend before spending the money . Check if this really is a watch for you . I did keep the watch . Hoping with time it will improve . I purchased mine on May 11th . And still having issues til this day . SAMSUNG PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER .

Useable but not reliable
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bulky, left a mark on my wrist, and not compatible with most outside products like for popular dieting apps nor digital scales. The glitched one day with a green tint and started to refuse to charge claiming that the device was overheated when it was infact cold. I had to let it die and kept it off for many weeks just to get it to charge again. It comes back to life with a tutorial.

not as expected.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product was supposed to be in open box, in excellent condition but the watch had multiple scratches and dings. I did not have the time nor the patience to go through the return process so did not bother to return it. In future I will not take the statements of bestbuy online on face value and order products online

The watch
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a little confusing to navigate. Sometimes its a hassle to turn on, but for the most part I find it helpful in training and running. I recommend getting a cover as it may scratch easily.

Same Sleep Tracking Problems as the Original
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the original GWA, but returned it due to the poor tracking. With double the number of sensors on the GWA 2, I had some hope the tracking would be better. It isn't. Like the first, I bought this watch in hopes of replacing my Fitbit Versa. I have a Samsung phone, so it would be nice to have a more integrated/capable smartwatch. This one can easily find my phone, I can charge it off the back of my phone, easier to review emails/texts. The notifications are nicer and easier to read, using the icon from the actual app. It now also has a mic. You can use it to identify songs, do voice memos, make calls, or do inquiries with Bixby (which is better that the previous assistant, though a little slow to start hearing commands if awakened with the voice command.) I purchased the 40mm version, which is perfect for a 14.5cm/5.75 inch wrist. Any bigger and the lugs would go past my wrist. I also love the digital touch bezel. It gives the phone a lower profile than the bulky dial my S3 had, and looks sleeker. I'm still incredibly disappointed with the tracking and for that reason contemplating returning it. The sleep tracking basically doesn't work. Even after puttingit in good night mode, it recorded 30 minutes of Deep Sleep versus the 90 minutes/1.5 hours measured by the Versa. The extra hour was present in the Light sleep stage. Similarly, it had 30 minutes less REM and 30 minutes more awake time than the Versa. The stats in Samsung Health also count the time you were awake during the period in your sleep stats, rather than the actual sleep time (which it does calculator but doesn't use as the primary measure). Moreover, unlike on the S3, you STILL cannot edit measured sleep data (just like with the GWA). So if there's an error with the start (or wake times more commonly), you can't edit it on Samsung Health. Samsung Health is also a middling application. It has almost no integrations with other apps besides My Fitness Pal, so if you want to sync your data with anything else, you'll have to do it by syncing to MFP and then from MFP to the other app. In all, it's decent smartwatch. It's a terrible fitness tracker though, and Samsung puts a large amount of focus on the health and fitness aspects in its marketing/website. So in that sense, it's a failure. But if you don't care about the fitness aspect, then you'll likely enjoy it.

It's ok.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently switched to android. The only thing that kept me with iOS so long was the apple watch. Wore it every day for a couple years. I bought this watch because it was well reviewed, had similar features, and wasn't as expensive as the newest Samsung watch. Before my apple watch I used an older Garmin Forerunner for activities and a regular watch for life. Pros- It looks like a normal watch. Customization is in line with android devices. Had all the functions I needed or wanted. Effortless to sync and setup. Battery life was really good. It would last for a day and a half with excessive use, brightness, workout tracking, etc. I never slept with it on my wrist though. Solid, attractive design and build. It didn't feel cheap or generic. Cons- Screen. It looked good, but when it it wasn't centered when dimmed. So, in whatever always on mode I tried, once I pressed the screen it would shake and move slightly. It was the strangest thing, maybe a glitch, but annoying. Screen again. Not as responsive as the apple watch. Heart rate monitor was not accurate. Pretty much ever. During my first workout, within the first few minutes it was telling me my heart rate was over 200. Simply not accurate. Workout functions were ok, didn't automatically detect or suggest what I do the most so I had to cycle through the menu. That seems nit-picky, but when you have to do it after not having to do it for so long you wonder why you need to start. Only came with one sized band. Had I not spent so much time with an apple watch I really would have loved this. It just never reached the ease of use and "just works" levels I was used to. If I were just looking for a fitness watch, this would have been perfect if not for the heart rate monitor, a fairly large if considering. Maybe the quirks of mine were defects, I don't know. $250 is a lot to put out for something you are just OK with though.

Disappointed Overall
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first i rewlly liked this watch but after a few months I find myself disappointed. First off the battery life is terrible. Its about a day which at first seemed reasonable but finding the ideal time to charge it can be awkward if you want to take advantage of the sleep tracking and use it all day for daily tracking. For example, i work second shift and like to do my workouts prior so by the time I get hime i can either charge it so its reqdy for tomorrow or i can use it track my sleep. Also, multiple times i have set an exercise to record and started my workout only to find it wasnt recorded. At first i thought it was because my battery levels were low so i made sure she was chargwd up before heading to the gym, only to have nothing record. i even wqited for the coubt down to make sure i had done it properly but when i go to stop the workout, its gone. Lastly, if you want any type of fun watch design be prepared to have lag. I have only found 2 faces that i liked that didnt cause my watch to lag for several seconds. more just a minor inconvenience but its annoying on a $200+ watch.

First smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a FitBit Blaze for a few years and figured I'd get something more technologically advanced. For the text messaging, drawing each letter is a neat feature that I don't think works well. The watch cannot tell the difference between o, O, and 0 usually, even if you try to shape them just like they'd appear. The same goes for capital i and lowercase L, which can be solved by added a small curve to the bottom of your L. There is a keyboard option for texting that LOOKS like it'd function like the old T9...but you have to hold on each digit then select the correct letter. Phone calls are clear and probably the thing I like most feature wise, although I don't think I'd ever use it since this isn't the LTE version, and I cannot use the LTE version with my carrier. The heart rate reader is not accurate. It read as 82 as I tested, and I tested immediately after and it read 95. I tested it again further down my wrist and on the inside of my wrist and it read 80. My resting heart rate is normally in the 60-70 range. As I write this, it is reading 73 which may be correct. Sleep tracking seems OK. Weather is nice to see without taking out my phone. It even shows a near-hourly for the next day, then a daily forecast for 5 days. There is a small collection of included watch faces. The app "Facer" lets you get more but many cost $2 on average. The included watch band is not breathable. My wrist gets sweaty while wearing it, and eventually irritable as it rubs against hairs. I had the same issue with my FitBit band and switched to one that resembles the Nike+ bands with holes all over. The watch faces are very clear compared to a traditional watch. The "Aqua Black" color is much more aqua than black. Overall I like this device but for the price, cannot see myself keeping it. I'll give it a try for a few more days and return it then get a cheaper alternative with similar features.

Watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery doesn't last very long, if you're lucky a day and half of use. Set up of the watch was really easy... usage is really easy and salivary of text and phone call is spot on. Pairing to my phone and my ear buds was really easy as well. Overall its not a bad watch, I enjoy it...

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this almost a month now and I do like it but I didn't give it a 5 star because of the battery life. It is very easy to use and has all the features that I was looking for, but I have to charge it every day and sometimes twice a day. Can't figure out what causes it to run down so fast.

Good for a first time smartwatch user
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smartwatch. The watch is easy to use, and has helped me with keeping track of my daily tasks. I love the reminders on the watch. The only thing I would prefer was a bit longer battery, because I like to use it for daily use and tracking my sleep.

Descent watch - terrible battery life though.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this watch. It's comfortable to wear and after a few nights sleeping in it for the sleep tracker, I got used to it. I can't seem to get it to link to my mapmywalk app to where I can see the map that I've traveled when I walk. Also, if you don't think to put it in battery saving mode or turn off the location when you're not using it or keep the screen from automatically coming on, the battery may only last for a day. Not something that is useful if you're an overnight hiker. I do like using it with my Samsung health app. I like that I can put a picture of my own on the watch screen. It has a few different screens to choose from. It worked well on a call while I was out in the garden. I could hear the other person well and they could hear me. I don't think I would spend over $200 on the watch again, knowing what I do know about it. Maybe less, but no more.

It does what it should...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If this is your first smart watch, it will be great! I came from the Apple watch to the Active 2 as I switched platforms for my phone. The Apple watch would not sync to the Samsung phone, so I had to switch. Watch is functionally good, does what its supposed to do and is smaller than the Apple watch. It does feel cheaper made than the Apple watch, the heart rate monitor is not as advanced as the other product, but works. I would also buy some form of screen protector as the screen was scratched twice in the first week of owning it. Would I buy again? Yes if I bought another Samsung phone.

Excellent fitness tracker, not great smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess my understanding, through finding this watch, was that it was a smartwatch with an emphasis on fitness. Since purchasing it, I've realized it is a fitness tracker with limited smartwatch capabilities. I'm unsure of whether or not that's because of the intended purpose of the watch, or if it's Samsung's OS for watch phone accessories. Google WearOS seems to be a better medium than Samsung. I gave it 3 stars because it does what I think it's intended to do, but would have given it less stars had the fitness tracking lacked. Smartwatch capabilities are grossly unpleasing with the she of technology this device was founded in.

HUGE Miss on Media Controls
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this for almost a year it's just meh. It doesn't 'stick' to the charger very well and the battery life is disappointing. I like the health monitoring and steps tracking but that's about it. The biggest flaw is that you can't control your media seamlessly (if you are listening to music, phone isn't in reach and want to skip a song this watch doesn't have the option to control any of that). on the plus side, it's sturdy and good feminine size/shape. Also, my 2 year old would like it known that she is VERY disappointed Mommy's watch doesn't have Mickey Mouse to tell her the time like on Daddy's Apple Watch.

It's pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is mostly good. Battery life is not my favorite. I have had it a year and a half and it's not 2 days it's like a day and a few hours. I am not a fan of having to have all the Samsung apps on a Google phone. They have Bixby instead of Google or Alexa or Siri obviously which is not super great at all, slow very slow. I like the size and shape, I like that you can text and call from your watch, I like that it figures out when I'm walking without me having to put it in.

Samsung Active2? - Maybe
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The watch has some neat features, such as a charging pad, its amoled screen is good looking, and the band was neither huge, nor tiny, just right for a medium wrist. The watch is nicely built, you can swim with it, has lots of other useful features, it should be good if you don’t mind the disappointing battery life - see Cons. Cons: Battery lasts some 2 days between charges, and although the specs stated it tracks floors, it just could not - and I did try the recommended official “fix” for that issue, unsuccessfully, like others before me.

OK but not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the watch is OK but not great. There are not the usual google apps (maps in particular). Text notifications come through but that isn't worth the price to me. Battery life is 18-24hrs but charging takes approximately 2hrs. The battery life to charging ratio made me return this watch. I ended up with a Garmin 645 Music (bought at $210) which has text, maps, and phone call notifications with a 7-10 day battery life (excluding GPS tracking). The Garmin 645 seems to do a better job tracking my activities and HR compared to the Samsung but I lost the AFib check.
