I've had a Fitbit for the past 2 years, but wanted to branch out to something a bit different. Since I already have a Samsung phone, I decided to try the Samsung watch. I love how nicely it pairs with the phone and phone calls through the watch are crystal clear. It automatically detects when I'm starting an exercise and I appreciate that. The only downfall I've found is that my sleep is not recorded as accurately as the Fitbit. I miss being able to really dive into my sleep patterns. For the first few weeks I don't think it was getting any of my deep sleep, but after messing with the settings I was able to get it to record some. It still has me getting much less deep sleep than I was recording with the Fitbit. Battery life is also a huge draw back. I only charged my Fitbit 2x a week. With the watch I'm charging morning and night to keep myself in the safe zone. A few times I forgot have left me out and about with a dead watch.

I'm giving 4 stars because I'm still learning it's features. I only have two complaints so far. First one is the battery. It seems to need charged daily if I use it for more than checking my steps, time or to just preview a notification. Secondly, it's not compatible with Amazon Music. Size is good, I thought it would be to bulky but it is not and I have pretty small wrists. I took a few pictures of the different widgets available.

Ok, I'll start by saying I absolutely love this watch. There were some issues at first, that neither Samsung nor best buy could resolve, that almost caused me to return it. Day 2 I stopped getting text/email notifications on the watch. I went thru troubleshooting with samsung, such as resetting watch an app, etc. It worked for an hour. They told me to return it. Well on my own I figured out the watch doesn't receive texts from any apps that aren't stock very well. So I turned off my Verizon message+ and Gmail app. I used stock messaging /email and have had no issues since! So, just a tip of you run into that.... As Samsung was zero help. I have had it only a few days an will update if anything changes but I recommend this watch, its honestly great in my opinion.

Love almost everything about this watch! The look...classy and beautiful. The function ality--this watch does absolutely everything I need it to do. Fave features-GPS, messaging, speaker, built in Spotify! Why not 5 stars? Battery life could be improved upon. Mine lasts for a little less than a day when I use it heavily. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat!! I love this watch! I used to have the apple watch but switched phones. I miss my iphone but I do NOT miss my apple watch!

I love my watch! It's lightweight, not too big for my small wrist, and easy to use. My only issue is the aqua black watch seems to be a grayish-silver in the photo but is actually a deep navy blue (see picture--looks black if you just glance). I wasn't wanting such a dark watch but I kept it because swapping the band to a lighter one helps. Still, I recommend the watch and will probably never buy another watch again since you can change the face and band to fancier options too!

I got this watch as I work in a Hospital and due to COVID we can't use out phones a lot, I also purchased the Samsung Buds to take calls. I wanted a watch that would monitor my heart rate as I do have a preexisting heart condition, tell time, show my messages and notify me who calls me before I take out my phone or tap on the buds to answer. The Heart Rate monitor does work but you do NEED TO HAVE IT on Measure Continuously so that you can know your heart rate more accurately. I tested it with a monitor at the hospital when I went to have a check up and it was almost 100 percent accurate, maybe a beat or 3 more or less but better than other's I've had. It is very handy, very sleek, very comfortable to have. I purchased other bands from a third party and a screen protector which is made out of rubber to keep it scratch free. I love that it vibrates when it senses your heart rate low or high (after having it a consistent time). One of the features I would love to have added on would be to vibrate after a minute instead of 5 or 10 min. Another feature would be to send an SOS signal when someone would have a high(when not active) or low heart rate(when not resting), as I have passed out when such thing has happened but my watch just keeps buzzing, according to family. Those would be super helpful for individuals with my condition, but then again it's an Active watch not an Omron heart monitor. I wanted to wait to review because I saw many negative reviews on the battery but I haven't had problems with mine, I charge it every 2 days because it doesn't really waste a lot of battery and that's considering that I get notifications/messages frequently. I also don't have it as Always On, 5 Screen Brightness and lock when removed from my wrist. So I can say that the battery is very long lasting.

This watch definitely comes in handy for me in many ways. It helps me with my job as a delivery driver by showing my navigation and letting me know which way to go so I don't have to keep constantly and dangerously looking at my phone. Also, I don't have to worry about missing an important text or call (as long as I'm within range), as my watch shows me all the notifications I need to see.

Like it. I had no problem setting up but my bf bought 1 too.. had issues with connecting and setup for his. I had pretty much hardly any issues but can't setup with a couple apps i had no problem with my previous fitbit before. Pretty nice. Though ill try to fix my issues. Plus really hard to find protection cover that protects sides AND face

I absolutely love my galaxy active 2 smart watch. It works prefect for everything I need and has some many options that I haven't even came across yet. The only reason I'm given it a 4 star is because the battery life kinda sucks. Mine only lasts maybe 48 tops. I would definitely recommend this watch for anyone just remember keep your charger close.

I love this this active watch. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is the band did cause some irritation to my skin so I have to wear it a lil looser. Set up was fast and easy syncs to my phone great.

I love that I can personalize it, use it as a phone, count my steroids and stress levels. It is awesome. Only negatives I have to say about it is the phone speaker is NOT loud enough and it didn't come with an extra band like the regular active wat h came with. It barely fits. I had to order some from amazon. But all in all, I love it, I recommended it to my friend and she bought one for her and her husband. So.... you're welcome!

it's been good, I wasn't able to put it on a wireless charger from an off brand because it overheats and shut off automatically. Other than that it does what it's meant for. My wrist is a bit big so I only have about 1 hole left on the band to use. Wish it came in a different size. But can always buy a different band.

The watch itself is awesome. I switched back to Galaxy Gear from Fitbit because it does so much more. I love the many options and apps. My 1 complaint it that the pink band faded before even a month of a wear. It is a comfortable band, but now looks funny. But thats my only complaint.

    Nice Watch for the Price

With price drops, the Active2 is a solid option for anyone looking at an alternative to an Apple Watch. I appreciate the smaller size, especially since I've added a full-wrap screen protector since I don't want to worry about always having to take off the watch when working outside and the like. Battery life is reportedly a bit shorter in the 40mm model than the larger version, but I've routinely gotten a couple days out of it by turning off the always-on display, limiting how many notifications I receive, and other optimizations you can find with a quick Google search. The only big downside isn't totally the watch's fault, but I'll ding Samsung a star in general for the hassle: If you own Galaxy Buds, you can't pair them simultaneously with this watch and your Samsung phone. Instead, you need to manually swap them back and forth using the Wear app. Airpods, meanwhile, will work with both an Apple Watch and an iPhone at the same time. Samsung should be better at making sure their products work together more seamlessly.

I am still learning the different aspects that this device has to offer, but at this point I feel that the device is very nice. I may feel that way because the new-ness hasn't warn off yet. I haven't had another watch similar to this, so I can't compare this one to anything else. I enjoy using it and using the different apps. A negative issue I have with it is that it has to be charged quite frequently, at least once a day. I don't know if that is normal, but at this point I am enjoying the device. It was quite pricey, but it was a gift to myself so I took the plunge. I deserved it! If you are thinking about purchasing this watch, I suggest that you also look at purchasing a protector shield for the watch face to keep if from being scratched.

I purchased this one after my previous Samsung gear watch died on me. I love the sleeker design and honestly I like the color I pick (rose gold and I never was a gold person; looks very good against my skin). I'm still learning it and sometimes the watch won't turn on when I turn my wrist to look at it ( I have to double tap the screen to turn it on). But that's minor and doesn't happen often. I bought it from best buy instead of Samsung or any other place for its warranty and protection program (Samsung doesn't have a "apple care" package and I had a very not pleasant experience with Samsung customer service with my last watch). I love it!

Not terrible. Not great. I think for me I would have preferred a larger version of the watch. maybe 44mm. The battery life does not seem to last as long as my previous Galaxy watch. I do like the smaller size when going for a run. The band seems small. I probably have average size wrists and this is on the tail end of the band. If I were to do it over I'd probably go with a different version. I did buy this one as an open item so the price makes it worth the purchase for me. Not sure I'd pay full price for it.
