The Watch has been great for the past 3 years. It was the best decision to upgrade to a smart watch. I love all Tybee features and the water lock has saved me greatly.

Great watch. Picked it up today. I exchanged the black aqua blue one simply for aesthetic reasons. Even if you don’t need the UA software the all black is very nice and worth it. I missed that from the S3 Frontier. The band is also a bit higher quality in my opinion as it has breathable ridges underneath and better for sizing. Overall any Active 2 style though is excellent. It’s light, runs super fast and has good battery life. This absolutely holds it’s own as the best watch for any Android user.

Amazing watch ruined by the warranty

I have had my Galaxy Watch Active 2 for about 6 months and have absolutely loved it. It was my third wearable from Samsung. Last weekend however, I went for a swim in a swimming pool, and tracked my swim with the watch, only to come out and see the screen flashing/eventually having the watch not turn on. After sending it into Samsung for repair, they confirmed that there was liquid damage to the watch. Samsung then said that the liquid damage voided the warranty and I would have to pay to repair my watch. The repair center would not budge even though the watch is advertised to be able to be used in a swimming pool to track your swim. Overall, terrible customer experience ruined a nice product. I will not be buying from Samsung again.

Samsung will void warranty if you rinse it off.

On April 3, 2020 I purchased a Samsung Active2 Smartwatch for $249. On June 7 I noticed the screen was not working so I contacted Samsung about it. They went through some trouble shooting and then told me I just needed to send it back to them. I shipped it to them on June 9 and they notified me they received it on June 10. On June 13 I received an email from them stating it had liquid damage and the warranty was voided. To repair the watch would be $220. The advertising for the smartwatch says it is "Swim ready". The user manual says to rinse it if it gets dirty. The only time it has gotten wet is from rinsing it off. It has never been submerged. I spoke with nine different Samsung Technical Support / Service Center / Repair Center / Case Management / Supervisors on June 15, 2020 and Samsung refuses to honor their warranty, even though the Smartwatch was used well within their requirements. Researching this online I see where MANY other people have had the same issue. I feel this is fraud and deceptive business practices by Samsung. Do not buy this watch if you think you will get it damp.

Why does it have active on the name if it cant even survive a little bit of rain? i had the watch for a while now, the first time it got wet from the rain the touch screen stopped working on the left side of the screen, but it was too late for warranty so I kept it since I could use my phone to move essential icons to the right side. today it received about 3 mins of light rain and it stopped working completely. when I try to turn it on it says watch is overheating so its turning off but the watch is not hot at all

It says the watch is supposed to do blood pressure and ECG and it doesn't. When you contact the company and inform them of the issue they act like your crazy. I will be finding another product.

Unreliable product - Two Watches / Two Failures

    Posted .

My wife received an Active 2 watch for Christmas, 2019. I bought one for myself in January 2020. We both are swimmers and the key features were the swimming features. We both loved the functionality of the watch but the reliability of the watch is terrible. My wife sent her watch in twice for repair during the 12 month warranty period. It was fixed once and then broke again. The 2nd time, it was replaced. She had a silver watch and they replaced it with a black one. When she called, they said they only had a black one - take it or leave it was the message. My watch stopped working in the 11th month. A tech helped me fix the issue over the phone with a factory reset and some other steps. He said he would extend my warranty for 6 months for my inconvenience. 3 months later, my watch went dead. I called and they asked me to send it in and pay $87 for the repair. They had no record of an extended courtesy warranty I was offered. I paid the $87 and sent it in. I was then contacted and they said I need to send in another $130 or so to complete the repair. I refused and tried to talk to someone about getting this resolved. They sent my unrepaired, non-working, dead watch back to me and kept my $87 initial payment. So two watches failed numerous times and Samsung failed to support their product. I wasn't going to pay over $200 to repair a watch that I could buy new for a little more and get a new warranty. We loved the watch but both watches had significant failures. Neither watch lasted past the one year warranty without significant problems. Both watches malfunctioned several times. This product is very unreliable. If you want to buy a watch that will last somewhere between 8 months and 15 months before complete failure, this is the watch for you.

My wife and I both had the versa 2 and we didn't have any problems with it. We decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy active 2 due to the speaker and the ability to read and send text also reply to emails. We quickly discovered that the speaker was not all that good the battery life was horrible and it didn't have the "ECG monitor" that we were expecting. Now 7 months later still doesn't have the ECG monitoring the battery life is worse maybe a day and a half of life before charging it. With the verse 2 we had 5 to 6 days before recharging. I had a problem with my versa 2 when I cracked my screen I emailed Fitbit explained my problem, they sent a new watch out free of charge. The bottom line Samsung gadgets are full of bells and whistles that doesn't work properly. I also have the galaxy s20 ultra 5G with a crappy camera, I have been with Samsung for 12 years now and I'm just about done with all there toy gadgets

Hello Pappy, thanks for asking! Samsung has Bluetooth and LTE smart watches. The LTE version can receive calls and messages without being connected to a phone. However, this model is the Bluetooth version. ^Elizabeth Samsung
