I really wanted to like this watch!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like this watch as it was my Christmas Present from my family. It was easy to setup and was excited to wear it, but I am an active person and know what my heart rate should be. I was sitting with the kids opening presents and it said my heart rate was around 120bpm!!!! I have a low resting heart rate of around 50bpm. To be sure I measured my own heart rate and found it to be around 55bpm but the watch said 120bpm. I reached out to samsung support and they had me follow some steps, rebooting, factory reset. This did not resolve it. I reached back out to samsung support and they told me to exchange it from where I got it :(. So I went to the store got another watch and went through the setup up, about 5 minutes after setup the heart rate was off again. I reached back out to samsung support and they basically said to do the same steps as before, which I did and it still did not resolve the issue. They said they would forward the info to support to see if they could get a software fix. So the watch is going back as I want a watch with heart rate and don't want to wait on a fix. They didn't ask for any logs or data, so how could they replicate the issue. I have had samsung phones for a long time and I am disappointed in their support.

Just OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Accurate: Time,Date,Alarms,Timers Inaccurate: Heartrate, Floor count, Sleep Undelivered: Fall monitor, EKG (promised Q1 2020) Battery is decent. If you don't care about accuracy in monitoring the above mentioned weak areas this watch may be for you.

Won't buy again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had my watch for 6 months before it stopped working. Warranty was still good so I sent it in. They wanted to charge over $200 for repairs because water got into it. 95% percent of the time I took it off to shower because I needed to charge it once a day. I wore it swimming once months ago. It states it's water resistant up to 5 meters not waterproof. It was my first Samsung product and my last samsung product.

This is not a waterproof or water resistant watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wore one time in water and immediately the touch screen stopped working. The watch was still under warranty but Samsung said due to water damage the repair was not covered. They wanted me to pay over $200 to repair. Basically the cost of watch. They claim in purchase details it can be used to swim in up to 50 meters. Mine barely got wet and now it is worthless. I'm going with a Garmen from here on out.

Sad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really hoping to love this watch waited for a long time for it to come out. I was let done so hard by Samsung. The watch it self is beautiful the way it operated was something different. First of all my watch kept giving me phantom steps. The heart rate monitor was all ove rrhe place. I have a farely ruin wrist so I thought it was that but I would use my fitbit charge 2 and that worked much better. The Samsung health app is self was not up to par like the fitbit app but it was OK. I think I'm gonna jut wait till they fix all the bugs and try purchasing again. Maybe.

Pretty much useless as a "fitness tracker"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a smart watch, it functions fine. As a "fitness tracker", its pretty much useless. I do different work outs every day and use the "other workout" function to track them. I recently started noticing that no matter what workout (arm day, leg day, or HIIT) at the half hour mark it always told me I had burnt 158 calories regardless of the varying intensities or heart rate difference. It also always tells me at the hour mark (when my work out is wrapping up) that i have burned 316 calories. I tested it the other day when i had to cut my work out short at the half hour mark due to time constraints and left it running for the last half hour of me just sitting there and i still burned 316 calories at the hour mark. I know fitness trackers arent a true guage of calories burned and what not but at least it could give me varying information based off different heart rates and intensities. I am almost positive if i turned it on to track a work out and i just sat on the couch for an hour i woild still "burn" 316 calories. Again great as a smart watch as it functions great for thos features but if you are looking for a fitness tracker, i would recommend getting something else.

Watch failing right after warranty expired
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this watch for Father's day, and was initially pretty happy with it. Shortly after I got it, Samsung made a software update which removed some of the more useful weight management features... Pretty disappointing as it was one of my most used features in conjunction with Strava and MFP. Then a few weeks ago the battery started failing and the touch screen became increasingly unresponsive. My warranty expired on 31 July, 2021. It is now 17 Aug. 2021. When I contacted customer support they said: "It's probably more cost effective to buy a new watch. There's a new one coming out soon, do you want to pre-order that?" What do I look like? Terrible. Edit: My review on Samsung's website (same verbiage as here) was "moderated" and removed from the site. Evidently, only positive reviews are allowed. Buyer beware!!

Dangerous and Waste of Money for Exercisers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is garbage and dangerous. I exercise regularly 5-6 days per week and have used this watch since December 2020. Well, during one of my workouts in late September 2021, the watch gave me a message that it was shutting down because it was overheating. The back melted/came off exposing the internal components. All I was doing was exercising. I tried to return the watch to the manufacturer but they won't repair the watch because sweat in the watch nullifies the warranty! What!! The back part came apart during my workout! I will avoid Samsung products moving forward. They do not honor their warranty! I would post pictures but the watch is still at the repair depot where they are refusing to repair it.

Not Water Resistant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this watch for 9 months before I started to experience issues with the screen glitching and not being responsive. I sent it in under warranty for repair and received my repaired watch back. After 10 days, the glitches started again. I reached out to Samsung for support again and sent it back. This time it was not covered under warranty as they cited "water damage." The product specifications state water resistance to 50 meters for 30 minutes (samsung website), so I was surprised hand washing would have been too much for an Active watch. Samsung did offer to repair the watch for $219, however a new replacement could be obtained for thr same price. I have been very disappointed in the experience with Samsung.

Great Watch... If you constantly check your VM
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch itself is great. Problem is Samsung has not enabled the users to shut off the individual notifications that come from your Samsung phone to your watch. So if you get bombarded with spam calls that leave voicemails, your watch will continually alert you that you have a new VM... Every time your phone connects to the network. If you try to stop or shut off these notifications on your watch, you will no longer get a notification on your watch when you get a new phone call. Shoddy programming and interfacing by Samsung between their phones and watches. Would give this 4 or 5 stars, but with the constant aggravation of the watch continually buzzing with voicemail notifications, I in good conscience cannot do that.

Poor excuse for a fitness watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i don't know who Samsung is paying for the ratings they receive on the Galaxy Fit but they are not paying them enough, because my Galaxy Fit sucks. Worst fitness watch I've ever used. 1) Battery life is less than 24 hours and it takes 3 hours to charge..meaning either your sleep tracking or your waking steps etc. tracking suffers. 2) The activity tracking is useless. Riding my tractor I logged a 20 minute, 900 step workout. Watch activity alert woke me up at 3 am to tell me 'Great Workout'. Two days ago it logged me with 48,000 steps... Woohoo right? Not. I did a lot maybe 28,000 but no way 48,000. Looking at a Garmin this week. I previously owned a Fit Bit Ionic. Samsung should talk to someone that knows something about fitness before you sell a fitness watch.

Dumb watch piece of crap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This DumbWatch is the worst piece of crap I have ever owned. Warning. Do not buy. From day 1 the updated software wouldn't load since there was not enough memory. I went to the best buy store for help and they were clueless and just said they had no idea why there wasn't enough space to load the updated software. Today after about 6 months the watch is just not showing anything on the face and not working except some sounds when texts come through. Worst buy ever!!!

Biometric quality is poor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Fitbit junkie for the past 8 years. I decided I wanted more out of a watch and this had great reviews. However, as a 135 pound active female, I'm averaging 1550 calories per day. 50 calories per running mile. Based on normal exercise physiology, this is so far off the mark. I've now had to send the watch back twice for samsung service, which is also ridiculous. A BRAND NEW piece of equipment that is faulty should be replaced not serviced. So disappointed in this device and am researching other brands.

Under Armour version not worth the extra price tag
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely terrible after 6+ months of use. In the beginning it was okay tracking workouts, but after 4 months or so the Under Armour APP is the worst part of this watch, and it is the main reason I got it. I've been using mapmyfitness for 11 years to keep track of all of my workouts and I got this watch specifically for this purpose. I've been through the whole deal with support and they have no answer for me. The best they could do is tell me to uninstall it from the watch...WHEN I CAN'T because it's native to the watch (greyed out, no option to uninstall). Whenever I try to use the workout (MMF-UA) app, it stalls at least 10 times before it miiiiiight load all the way. It keeps loading, whenever I get to a page I want to use, the screen turns off, and I have to start from scratch, somewhere between 10 and 50 times. This happens for up to a half hour when I give up or it starts working. Then when it starts, there is a definite delay in everything that happens, then EEEEEVEN if you finally get the app to START and record your run, for the last month it will tell me it recorded it, give me stats, let me hit the check mark to save the workout, and after it's all done, apparently the last months worth of workouts were NEVER RECORDED ON THE WEBSITE/APP. SO FRUSTRATING. I'm so done with this watch. It is so slow overall that I just can't take it anymore. It works decently well for most other things that it is supposed to, but for someone who bought a workout watch specifically for a specific workout app that comes pre-installed on the watch because he workouts out every day......way too much frustration. Buyer Beware.
