I called best buy, and because I bought the warranty, I only had to pay the difference for the upgraded watch. This watch far exceeds the gear. So many different choices and the layout is better. My opinion is to start here. This is am amazing watch.

Considered the new Fitbit Sense but saw more value in the Active 2 for price and have not be disappointed. Also, wanted a watch that would be extension of my phone. The only Con I have about this watch is the battery life - Samsung could improve on this front. The watch requires charging at least every 2 days if using the workout functions.

Helps me keep track of my heart rate , my sleep habits . I love that I don't have to pick up my phone in order to turn off an alarm . Also I can send small messages - by set messages or you can just write on your watch with your finger . The only downfall is if you have a very small wrist like me ,then you will need to invest in a smaller band

Gear was great but slowing down. Style, size and speed of active2 made it a great upgrade even though I gave up mst and physical rotating bezel. As far as LTE was concerned, I had the gear for 3 years and left my phone behind twice, so it wasn't a must have feature me and I'd rather save the $10 a month at&t charge.
