Battery life was good even with all the bells and whistles enabled. I've never saved things like music to it or used it for Spotify so I can't speak to it's usage for that or where that would've come into play for performance degradation. For me that wasn't a factor. After about a year, things weren't smooth anymore. Battery life dropped down sporadically to where I'd charge it all the way up to 100% before bed and wake up to find it dead on my wrist for seemingly no reason. Now sometimes the workouts quit by themselves after a few seconds. The whole thing has just gotten worse. It's been treated with care too. Never been in the water or treated roughly. Nearly always tells me I have a low percentage of deep sleep from day one. My older Samsung gear fit 2 was better at getting that right. I replaced it with this and have been disappointed with some of the more fitness centric options/features.
