Many nice features that are handy to have. The heart rate monitor does not record most of the time when running. I have thin wrists which may be part of the problem. In continuous mode when I am at rest the heart rate reads ridiculously high. Taking manual measurements it is usually correct. The built in GPS is very handy in measuring distance and speed. It is easy to use. The Bixby voice control is a bit primative but still useful. All apps link well to the phone except the weather app. It only updates when disconnecting bluetooth and reconnecting it. However it will update when linked to my home wifi all the time. I find it very helpful to read email and messages on the watch when notified new items are available. The alarm does wake me in the morning. The watch can be customized in many ways, including the watch face. Overall I am pleased with the watch.

Okay. I really, really wanted to love this watch......and I almost do. I am an iPhone user, and am coming from having owned a Garmin 405, an Apple Watch 1, and most recently an Apple Watch 3. I bought this for it's supposed "Active" fitness tracking abilities. But sadly, it is just not quite what it could be, at least when paired with an iPhone. I do get notifications, but cannot interact or respond, which I can live with. It does actually clear notifications nicely. There is NO support for SMS when paired with an iPhone though. Not even notifications! I also cannot push software, or app updates through the phone at all. The only way I have been able to do updates is to disconnect the watch from my phone by turning off Bluetooth, and then connecting the watch directly to my Wi-Fi. This is a pain! My bigger gripe though is about the accuracy of the fitness tracking. The floors climbed is all over the place, and no where near accurate! And worse yet is the calories burned calculation. For example, if you did 2 separate 60 minute cycling workouts, but during one you rode nothing but big climbs with a very high heart rate, and for the other you gently pedaled through a flat park, the calories burned would be the same! After a bit of research, I learned that the Samsung does not utilize your Heart Rate at all for workouts. Just a built in formula. Tell it you are riding a bike, and it says you burn x amount of calories per hour, period. There are videos of people starting a workout, and then taking the watch off and leaving it sitting there burning calories. This is simply sad on a device that has access to my heart rate at all times. Samsung also states that this watch has the ECG capability, but they do not tell you that this is ONLY when paired with a Samsung phone. Got any other phone? No ECG. In the end, there is a lot I love: Very comfortable. Great looking screen. The stats breakdown in the Health App are awesome after a workout. The water lock feature is cool! Except for SMS, the notifications work great. $250 price point is nice Customizable daily goals. Lots of faces available. BUT, I have already ordered the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, and the Samsung will be going back because of the shortcomings that I just can't seem to get past. Very difficult to update apps and watch software. No SMS notifications. No ECG support. The date insists on displaying in European format! Calories burned does not even factor heart rate. Floors climbed is useless. Very little support for adjusting settings from phone. Bixby has not really worked at all for me. It's a good start, but Samsung is just not quite there if they are calling this an "Active" watch.

Im a samsung guy. Wife is an apple gal. This is my first smart watch. First bought a rubberized watch protector. I ended up dinging it pretty good and now have one scratch, so highly recommend the water-applied screen protector. All the functions are great. Tried the sleep feature a few times. Fun tracker, but I really dont like wearing watches to sleep. I would not spend the extra money to get the LTE version. Easy to sync this via bluetooth to your phone. Most of us have our phones in our pockets or close by anyways. Can customize quite easily. Nice watch overall. Battery is sufficient.

It is a great watch, I love the fit and I know the battery lasts about one day but that is because of all that it does. It may or may not be waterproof but I haven't risked it to find out. But does a lot. From checking email. You can text on it. I can call on it and was told it sounded like I was on my phone and not speaker, so great sound Quality. You can use Spotify by using your watch as a remote play to your phone. You can track your health and it has basically a fitness trainer in the watch. So all and all there is a lot more but im happy with this watch. Very good and very pretty pink.

Upgraded from a Samsung Gear Fit or whatever the fitness band type watch was. This is obviously night and day since it's a full-on smartwatch. 3 days in and I couldn't be much happier with the product. Screen is great, battery is amazing, features are stellar. I get sad when I have to take it off. I wonder what it's thinking about when we're apart. Only complaint so far is that Bixby is a sad situation compared to Google assistant. It let's you perform basic functions with voice control but I can't sorta go rogue and ask it about sports scores or headlines; pre-programmed and defined tasks only. It does them quite well, but it's limiting.

I dont have much complaints when it comes to this watch. The setup was easy and simple and love the ease of use to access all of the apps. The screen is a nice size since I have larger fingers. Only problem I have is that the band is rather large compared to the 40mm watch. I will have to replace because its too big for my wrist. The battery does last pretty long considering I use it majority of the day. One major con for me is that this watch doesn't auto detect my heartbeat increase and workout. Main reason for me getting this watch was to track my burned calories and steps but when I do full body workouts it just says I'm walking or running so it doesn't count properly. And I have to go to the heart rate page just for it to began reading my heart rate

Love the watch and it looks great. I have a galaxy watch but didnt want to use it for working out so i got the active 2. The active 2 is all i wear now lol.

Great battery, easy to use, and connects well to the phone. I was cautious about getting a smartwatch, but my experience with this one has been great.

I've has this watch for 8 months now and I love it. It's simple to use and I love it for tracking my daily steps and to track calories burned while working out. The battery lasts 2 to 3 days depending on how much I use it and the size is perfect, not too big or small. Even though I always have my phone with me it's nice to have the notifications pop up for a message or being able to set an alarm on the watch if I need to. I would absolutely recommend this watch if you've been thinking about it and enjoy Samsung products. I would also recommend getting a screen protector for it!

I was ready to return this item after one evening with it because I was having issues getting my messages to go to the watch. Now I am glad I waited. The selection of watch faces puts my old Fitbit Versa 2 to shame and the blood pressure and EKG features are incredible! If there is one complaint it is that the heart rate function is considerably higher than my Fitbit and I believe is less accurate. Getting a solid 2 1/2 days of battery life with average use. Still disappointed that the SpO2 sensor has been disabled but hopefully Samsung will make it as accurate as the Watch 3 is reported to be. I looked at the Watch 3 but could not justify spending another 75% more money for it. Looking forward to further updates for this great smartwatch!

So far I love it. It has a beautiful design and easy to use. The battery life is great. I do wish it came with a small and large band so I could pick with size fits better.

I'm a big man with large hands an wrist so I have to say if your the same then no... But overall it's awesome I ued it for a good month or so gave it too my daughter.. Perfect for the fit people or for those who like quality an class....

I had a apple watch series 3 and this watch battery life last twice as long. You can do more this watch and it is waterproof and half the price.

Purchased this to use with Samsung S10+ cellphone & it worked great. Looked & feel great. Exercise steps and calories were less than Fit Bit but still tracks this fine.

Wanted a watch with a pulse monitor since I work in health care and have to wear a n95 mask all the time. Running around all day I noticed my Heart Rate going above 100. This watch allows me to keep a close eye on monitoring and maintaining a good pulse throughout the day. This watch is great. The battery usually lasts me 2 days. Goodnight mode allows me wear this watch to bed and not have the screen come on. Plus it now has the EKG function. Would have liked it to be 45mm but with all the things this watch can do being 44mm is a very minor drawback for me.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he really likes it! The battery lasts a good three days on a full charge and looks very stylish.

Sansung Active 2 helps me stay on target with my fitness and health goals and alerts me to become active after long periods of inactivity. I can add my water and food intake from my wrist. There are several exercise options to choose from which visually demonstrates the the proper technique of performing the specified exercise before you begin. It easily tracksmy fitness results. I love the functionality of the device from answering calls, the ability of responding quickly to texts when my phone is not near and the ability to locate my phone when unsure where it may be. Totally love this smartwatch.

First time purchasing a smart watch and im glad it was this one. Works well with my Galaxy S20+. Very easy to use and navigate through the watch.

This review is a little over a year late. I got it to compliment a Galaxy Note10+ at the time of purchase. I knew the ECG feature was going to be late but I did not realize it would take almost an entire year for Samsung to get FDA approval to activate the feature in the US. Now that it is activated I hardly use it. I'm not an active runner so I don't get to use the newly added VO2 Max capability. Outside of that, it is very light on my wrist. I use the continuous heart rate monitoring and I can get close to 36 hours of usage before it needs charging. My only complaint is that I'd like Samsung to accept that Tizen is not good and allow for more compatibility with Android OS. It need features from Android Wear OS.

For some reason Samsung has a better watch design then apple. The function and apps feel better on this watch. The price is the best part as well then apple.
