I've had Garmin products before but have had issues with their build quality before (i.e., don't take it swimming even though it says it's waterproof). So, I thought I would give the Active 2 a try. While I really wanted to like this watch, I couldn't. Let me start with some positives: Sleep tracking, screen resolution/brightness, variety of watch faces, watch navigation, ability to answer calls, ability to respond to texts via voice response. Battery life also wasn't too bad for this type of watch (~ 2 days) Negatives: GPS accuracy absolutely sucks. The primary reason I bought this watch was to track my mountain bike rides. I tried it several times and either the GPS didn't pick up tracking for the first 5 minutes of my ride or it was way off the path. I can't trust this thing. Secondly, I found a couple of times that the "auto-pause" didn't reengage and I lost milages I rode. Sorry, but if I can't get this to work well after my first 5 rides, I can't stick with it. A second disappointment are the apps available -- pretty much all of them are underwhelming at best. I had to purchase a separate app to "broadcast" my heart rate to my virtual training app and in the middle of the ride, it lost contact and I couldn't get the HR rate to records from that point on. Strava is OK but a bit touchy to the point I actually lost a ride because I hit the wrong button (perhaps my fault but no notice I'd lose the ride to stop me). The mobile app is also a bit lacking -- I couldn't download my ride to a file and metrics were lacking. Clearly, I should have lowered my expectations of this being able to fill my workout tracking demands/needs. Perhaps my expectations were too high and maybe this is good for the general person who doesn't care able GPS precision.

Love the watch, but a little disappointing to have to charge every couple of days. There MAY be some settings that I can help that, but so far, I haven't found them.

The step counter seems to be reasonably accurate, you can see your emails, haven't tried answering the phone, and it's comfortable to wear.

I recently switched from an Apple Watch to a Samsung one and I loved how easy the transition was. Easy to Maneuver

Love it! Easier to see than the active. A few more features but still the same great galaxy watch! You wont regret buying it!

Samsung's Tizen operating system is very user friendly. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Very customizable. I have tried them all.

Had a Gear S2, this is a nice step up. Way less bulky, some nice new features, and most importantly much better battery life

This technology is loaded with lots of features. However with such devices, battery life is alway an issue. With moterate usage I get one and a half days. I thought it would be better.

I have used different types of smart watches and of course each one has their own pros and cons. I find this one to be overall satisfying. What I like the best from active 2 is the health features.

Excellent upgrade, I had the first Galaxy watch active and I'm so glad I upgraded to the active 2... This is what the firyone should have been.!

I traded in my old active Samsung watch for this upgraded version. I love it! I feel it's a great competitive item to Apple watches.
