I hate this watch. Sampson health and step counter was never accurate just too big and bulky. I switched to an Apple product and will never go back

This is my second Galaxy watch, an little after a year both have stopped syncing with my iPhone. Loved the style, looks and features but it doesn’t do much good if it can’t transfer the data.

About 6 weeks after buying the watch no longer counts steps. Monitor heart rate, or sleep. Samsung's no help only want to send in for repair, not replace.

Not sure what it's purpose is, doesn't always work. I got it to keep track of my workouts, but it's so bulky I can't do pilates with it on. Big disappointment.

Love the looks of this smart watch, but was very disappointed with the battery life. I also kept hitting the outside dial on everything. I ended up returning for the Active 2.

I really liked the watch; however, it drained my phone battery significantly. I ended up needing to charge my phone 3 times in one day where I could go 2 days without charging it at all.

Great For a Smartwatch, Not Perfect

+Design aesthetic +UI/Navigation Scheme +Performance +Screen +Health features -Battery Life -App selection -Lots of additional apps required on phone -Not Wear OS (may be a positive to some) Overall, this is a very solid smartwatch, and is better than any other that I've personally used previously. However, it still feels like a mostly unnecessary accessory that could be made exponentially better with a better app selection. The first thing you'll notice is how great the watch looks. IMO, this is the best-looking smartwatch available, mainly because it doesn't immediately look like a smartwatch (like the hideously ugly Apple Watch, among others). While I'm not a fan of the included rubber/silicone band, it definitely serves a purpose in terms of the watch's overall goal (water proof, sport/workout friendly), and is also easily swapped out for a different band. The second thing you'll notice is how great looking the screen is. Samsung's track record with mobile screens is well proven, and this is no exception. Colors and whites pop against black backgrounds. To go along with this, Samsung has developed a UI with Tizen which is not only attractive looking, but also logically laid out and easily navigated. This is far and away the best means of control that I've ever seen on a smartwatch; using an external dial just makes complete and immediate sense. It seems that a great amount of thought has gone into UI navigation, and that makes this a joy to use. This is all supported by well performing hardware that rarely (if ever) slows down. The UI is responsive and performance just feels modern in a way that others have not. Samsung has clearly spent a bit of time integrating health features into the Galaxy Watch. There are a number of exercises that are automatically detected, and things like sleep and heart rate are also automatically detected. One of my favorite features is that the watch prompts you after a period of inactivity. It's a really small feature, but it's a really nice touch that makes this feel like a device made for tracking your health. Things have not been all roses in my experience, however. To start, battery life has left me completely underwhelmed. In my usage, which I'd consider completely average (always on display disabled, moderate to little usage most hours of the day, and very few extra apps installed), the Galaxy Watch lasts less than 2 days, which is in stark contrast to the 4 days which I've been hearing. I was anticipating at least 2 full days of usage out of a charge, but that has not been the reality for me. Unfortunately, charging also takes 2.5 hours or more to complete. One downside to this watch became immediately apparent, and that's the amount of additional apps you need to install on your phone to utilize the full potential of the watch (at least if you own a non-Samsung phone, as I do). I would much prefer this to be bundled into a single "Wear" app, which would streamline the operation significantly. My final two negatives go seemingly hand in hand. Samsung has elected to create their own proprietary watch OS (Tizen). While the UI benefits from this decision, the app selection suffers greatly. There really isn't much additional that you can do beyond what's included with the watch. There are basic apps which provide specific bits of functionality, but overall, there's nothing out there right now that has the wow factor. I would honestly prefer that the watch ran on Google's Wear OS for a couple reasons. One, I believe this would help alleviate the app issue mentioned previously. Two, you'd get Google's incredibly useful Google Assistant to help with voice activated controls. Bixby is neigh on useless to be frank. It's incredibly disappointing in its current incarnation and provides next to no real day to day value. This is very unfortunate because I feel the watch form factor is one that would most benefit from good hands free integration. The positives outweigh the negatives for me; this feels like a mostly well thought out watch, that looks great and performs quite well. I can't help but be left with the opinion that this is held back because of the downsides, namely app selection, though...

The watch is nice looking and has some great options, my only complaint is I was using it with bluetooth thru my galaxy 8s and it drained the battery within 3 hours . So I returned it.

    Not A Typical Smart Watch

It can have as much of a classic traditional watch look to the look of an exercise computer and all points in between. Watch faces are endless from a high dollar designer watch to an inexpensive digital with most of them free are available for download as well as a multitude of apps are available for justa bout every function and activity you can think of. GPS, maps, altimeter , barometer, fitness and work out apps, you name it there is probably an app. I have used this with my iPhone and android and connection to both thru bluetooth paired easily and its connected to the internet thru that bluetooth connection (2.4 ghz only). You can turn on notifications for email and text messages but response from the watch is not a feature thats useable with iPhone. Making and responding to calls from the watch is good to go with iPhone or Android.. Most sounds are can be selected and changed as well as the brightness and volume. The watch is charged with its own charger wirelessly and there is no option to charge with a cord only. It will not charge from any of the other wireless chargers I have, so dont forget to pack the charger when traveling or even out for a long day. Like all battery powered devices battery life depends on exactly how much you use it and with what function and apps. I find in general use as a watch and notification device I can get at least two and sometimes three days with it running 24/7 while I was testing it. You can increase that if your not using the watch for an alarm and turn it off at night. My only negative comment on this beautiful watch is the quick change silicone band, I just dont like them. Fortunatly practically any 22mm band will fit the watch just fine and I replaced mine with a sturdy canvas band that is also quick change. This is a very stylish watch that can look classy for a night at the orchestra to a weekend on the trail or gym

This was a nice watch however it would disconnect from my phone after about 15 feet. It also had a 10 second delay with text notifications. I did like how long the battery lasted though!

The Samsung watch has a lot of cool features and seems to be the best android answer to the Apple Watch; however my chief complaint is that it doesn’t accurately track my steps.
