Love my new smart watch!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 2 other Samsung smart watches. I have loved all of them so far. I was so happy that Samsung decided to make a stylish version. Now I have the best of both worlds! A very classy, stylish smart watch.

Best there is
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first purchased a ticwatch e, returned after 2 days and got the galaxy watch 42mm which I do not regret at all. I was apprehensive at first because I wasn't sure I would like tizen os compared to wear os but it works just fine. The rotating bezel really makes navigation easy and enjoyable. Battery life is amazing, a full day of use only drained it down to 64%.

Excellent Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a dental assistant so I have minimal time to check my phone will I'm on the go , this is a great alternative has all the features you need with the elegancy of a high priced watch. Also the battery life is premium after a full days use off/on I was at about 75% which is 1 day and 10 hours of charge left so just around 2 to 3 days of use in total.

A Nice Disposable E-Gadget, Not An investment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm guilty of expecting perfection from whatever I purchase. I grew up in the era when Japanese-made electronic goods went from being junk to world-class consumer products. I have went through three 46mm Galaxy watches and wanted to leave others with some observations I made. The first watch didn't work correctly, grossly over counting steps and taking heart rates when it felt like it. That was before the software Tizen 4.0.0.1 update which did fix the problem for many users. The second watch looked like it was the winner: it worked perfectly after the update, but by the 14th day of proud ownership, the auto heart rate feature quit working. I reset it and tinkered with the software, but nothing remedied the problem. Back it went for a THIRD exchange. Galaxy Watch number three JUST HAD TO WORK, so I told myself. I carefully purged the software from my cell, did a reload and even fully charged the watch before turning it on to pair and setup. The software update was applied and things were looking positive. The watch worked fine, except for (you guessed it) the step counting was WAY under, just like the first watch that never saw the update. And all three Galaxy 46mm watches had the bezel "tick" when tapped, though to a much lesser extent than the Frontier Gear S3. I mustered the nerve to go back for the forth time and got a 42mm version to see how it fared. Today it's working fine, with all functions operational and seemingly accurate. BUT, upon unboxing it, I noticed the bezel "tick" that's been a hallmark complaint of Samsung watch buyers since I can remember. The bezel looks straight, but the "tick" affects the right side of the watch face most. And yes, the ticking sound of metal-on-metal makes the watch seem cheap and poorly constructed. Short of the watch bezel falling off, I'm keeping this one, because the thing actually seems to work. And if it lasts me a few years like my old S2 Classic, than, that'll meet my expectations for another nominal consumer-grade device. I know consumers like me expect more than what a manufacturer is willing to invest in quality of design and quality control. One more example. While using a jeweler's loupe to look for what might be causing the bezel noise, I glanced at the HR LED and the four black sensors on the back of the watch. Some of the black sensor housings that surround the LED in the center had CLUSTERS (not just one or two specks) of dust particles trapped inside. Doubt if a little dust matters, but more evidence that quality control isn't Samsung's first priority making Smart Watches. As a side note, if anyone decides to examine their HR sensor on the back of the watch, be SURE to power down the watch to avoid eye injury. Bezels being loose, hard to turn, rattling, or not working seem to plague Samsung watches. I wish like everyone else that Samsung would come up with new designs, or better QC, but I guess not. The features the Galaxy Watch has to offer made me want this watch, because it's like a cellphone on my wrist. As far as expecting to find a Samsung watch that doesn't have imperfections, I'm doubtful I will, so I'll settle for "pretty good" as the best Samsung is capable or willing to provide the consumer. I'd recommend only if you're willing to live with a less than a flawless watch that costs over $300.

Fitness Tracking & Battery Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the watch overall, from features to appearance. However, the fitness tracking & battery life are severely lacking. The Galaxy Watch was supposed to replace my Fitbit Blaze. After purchasing on day 1, I wore both simultaneously for almost a week. By the end of the day, the Galaxy Watch will only show around half of the steps my Fitbit will. I can literally walk and not see steps added on the Samsung. On top of that, the floors seem to max out at 18, while the Fitbit may show 4 times that. The advertised 3 day battery life for the smaller watch may be a bit of an exaggeration. My watch barely makes it through a full day with normal use. Being concerned about these critical features (for me at least), I spoke with my local Best Buy. They seemed to think it was a defective unit and switched it out no questions asked. After a day and a half with the new unit, it is apparent that the same issues are present. I'm hoping that these issues will get worked out with software updates instead of being poor hardware. Samsung customer service was not able to help with either issue. Love the watch, but may have to rely on a separate fitness tracker for accurate info if I choose to keep it.

Disposable Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this open-boxed but I was assured (never take the word of an employee working commission) that the previous buyer said it was the wrong size (not the 46mm). It was good for about 2 months then the Home / On key started to stick. For a couple months it was tolerable, then it just got worse to the point the Home key just didn't work anymore. I won't send ot to get fixed because it will cost as much to fix it as it was to buy it ($250 for an open-box). Be wary of Samsung in general, their products are not built to last.

Best Smartwatch for Android
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already got 46mm one for me and just got this 42mm as well for my friend. This is the best smartwatch for Android available now with 5-6 day battery life. I'd definitely recommend it for the price. I wish Samsung launches a new model with these features soon.

Great Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s more of a fashion statement than the understated Apple Watch – even with the more screen-focused Apple Watch 4. Samsung's timepiece is big, circular, and meant to look like a wristwatch. We got compliments on its design when wearing it out; there was a lot of surprises that this was a smartwatch in a sea of people wearing the Apple Watch. It stands out.

Heart Rate doesn't work.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So upset at Samsung for still not fixing the hr monitor during workouts. I've been reading reviews going back over a year from people complaining about the hr not working during workouts. I took the 1st watch back thinking it was broken only to have the same problem with the 2nd watch. It is such a good watch if they would just fix that issue. I used n old gear 2 watch that is 5 years old this morning during my workout and the hr worked the whole time. Taking this watch back and moving on to a different brand. Stinks because this watch works great with my Note8 for making and receiving calls and texts and tracking fitness and health. The hr function just doesn't work for many people. Sad, I bash apple products to all my friends but I bet they fix issues that arise.

In love!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is the best!! I mainly use it for fitness tracking and notifications because I can't have my phone directly on me for work. It instantly tracks my workout and the range is pretty good! Super convenient and definitely worth the price!

It is good but I liked my Samsung Gear 2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this as a gift because my Gear 2 fell apart. I loved my Gear 2 due to the comfort and features and apps. I didn't think it would be such a huge shift from 2 to 3 but it was. I need this watch for my work. I had Skype uploaded to my gear 2 so I can get alerts from my staff when I had a patient arrive in my office. On the Gear 3 Skype is not available. The look and design of the watch is beautiful and I love the rose gold however the watch is a bit heavier than my old watch. I like the turn dial to functions for the watch and the apps that are available. In the end I like the watch but I would like more accessibility to more apps. I need skype to work with this watch.

Does what I need minus some irritations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The guy at Best Buy was not wrong. It's beautiful, sleek, and keeps up with my mass amount of walking and terrible sleep. However. The battery seems to last about a day and a half rather than two days (nothing major, just an observation), and the constant exercise alerts are borderline completely annoying. I've set a couple daily reminders for myself that it doesnt seem to keep up with, unless the random vibrations I get every now and then are the alerts that don't end up showing on the screen. It also takes forever to charge but maybe that's a given. Other than that, I love it. The watch faces are fun and it's nice to keep my phone on silent and still know when I get a text. Thank you Tim for helping me decide on a watch I actually want to use.

Great smartwatch but Samsung could fix a couple is
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this.. by far the best smartwatch I have found to date. The microphone is wonderful, it plays music over it's speaker thru Spotify, bixby works great with the voice recognition, easy to call and text from and it sounds very clear. I do think the face is a tad bit thick but I like the overall size and I do wish there were more bands to offer like the apple watch has to offer. I have also noticed that the step count and calorie count is a bit off. It's not a deal breaker but it is a tad frustrating. I hope that eventually Samsung can maybe get this fixed, maybe it's just a bug?? Even with this little issue, I still think this is a great watch and could definitely purchase it again!

Not for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this thru Verizon. I had it for a week during which I wore it only 2 days, and just sent it back. I had been a regular Fitbit user for the last 3 years, but when that finally died, I wanted to try something else. All the specs and things it did attracted me to make the splurge. Once I received it, I was excited and also disappointed. I got the rose gold, and the color is not as muted as it appears online. It is a bright rose gold, so it's somewhat gawdy and a little flashy. Next, it is very heavy compared to my old Fitbit, which was hard to get used to. The screen size was okay, but it just seemed to swallow my wrist (my wrists are 5 1/2"). I never planned on using some of the features, like calls, texts, or music. I wanted this as mainly a fitness tracker, and for that, it failed. As a nurse, I can easily get over 10,000 steps in a shift. The watch tracked less than half of that (I got better results, by just having my phone in my pocket). It didn't connect to Samsung health accurately either. I thought it was supposed to sync with the phone app, but it never did. It would also record me as sleeping, even if all I was doing was just sitting watching tv for an hour. With the watch being bulky, gawdy, the inaccuracies, and not utilizing all the features, I was just not happy with it, and decided to return it. I can honestly say the best feature is all the watch faces you can download. At this point, I will be going back to Fitbit.

Beautiful smartwatch with shortcomings
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned my Fitbit versa and bought this watch. It's very comfortable. The size is not too large. Notifications and texts are coming through beautifully, which was my issue with the versa. Step counting is not accurate. Maybe counts half of my steps or less. Sleep tracker is also off. Went to bed at 2:45 and up at 6:30. Said that I was asleep for 6.5 hours. Someday someone will make a smartwatch that works as it should in all aspects I hope. I'm undecided if I'm going to keep it or not. Kind of disappointed.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my watch. It was easy to set up and start using immediately. You can buy bands if you want to change the look. You can also change the watch faces. I love the activity tracker. It’s nice you can answer calls when you can’t get to your phone. Recommend
