not good
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch started off great, the about 1 year after use it needed a battery, which was a pain to change. Then it worked great until the next 1 year mark and then the watch just stopped. I was very disappointed in the product

Unsatisfied user
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great at first. Overtime had issues with the programmed settings. Help support and Google were not of assistance to resolve the issue. Stopped using and went back to their competitor.

Great watch if you don't care about the Health
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not record steps at all accurately and never records floors. Nice watch otherwise but not worth the money without all the features working. Samsung is doing squat to take care of the issues from all the posts I have seen in several forums.

Totally Incomprehensible controls..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a long time user of Apple Watches, i’d always looked for a round faced device. Moving to the Galaxy seemed to be the obvious choice. Like most males, I don’t read user manuals, trusting to my own intelligence to figure it out. One thing I will say about Apple is that they are pretty self evident and user friendly and when adopting this approach, things pretty much work out. Sadly, this isn’t the case with the Samsung. Try as I would, over the space of a few hours, I could barely figure out how to do anything. I could just about display the clock, but could do much else. A definite warning to recommend saving your mental health and not to buy this.

Bought it in "great" condition
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has a lot of scratches and band was sticky with coke. Gross. Watch works great other than battery. Battery life says 3 days max I get 2 days if that. But for half the price I cant complain.

Smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product, however I bought it certified pre owned with no damage. When I took it out of the package there was built up strange white gunk and dirt from the previous owner and there were a few scratches on the bezel and on the side of the watch face. Watch itself works well but it was not as listed with no damage. They would not let me look at the watch or touch it until I had purchased it and said I could bring it back if I didn't like it. I would not have bought this watch if I knew how poorly the previous owners took care of it.

Very dissapointed you gave me used merchandise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Samsung 42mm rose gold watch and pick it up at chula vista store, the watch I recveived was used, it didnt have any protective film, the accesories were already out of their bags. Im very dissapointed at the store being that I buy everithing electronic with you, and imagine my embarassment when the person to whom I gave this watch as a gift saw that it wasnt new. Tomorrow I will be returning the watch and asking for my money back.

Quality issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had battery drainage issues the first time I set it up. Now, less than 2 months later the watch won't turn on even though it's 100% charged and I've had to send it to Samsung for repair.

Great smart watch and fit tracker in one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart watch I've owned so I do not have a previous one for comparison. However, the watch has performed extremely well. I've been testing it for a couple days now and it's going on day three and the battery is still going strong on one full charge, from the initial day of receiving. I've been playing around with it, consistenly checking out different features, downloading watch faces and apps, running apps, making calls, updating stats and sleeping with it for vitals and sleep monitoring. With all of this activity the watch has kept up great. No lags, no freezing, so far. At first, I was worried that it may not have been tracking my steps correctly. It seemed that on a certain pre loaded watch face the steps weren't tracking immediately, but as I changed the face to a downloaded one, the steps were tracked accurately. Since having the watch I received an update today and the tracking on the original face I had is now being tracked correctly with no issue. The watch isn't too heavy, or garishly big. It's comfortable on my wrist for extended periods of time and during sleep. The body feels sturdy. It looks sleek but it isn't as low profile as others on the market. Switching between screens/apps is easy. You can swipe or use the dial. Buttons are useful and sturdy with click sounds. Which you are able to turn off. The sound is what you would expect from a watch that's "smart". It's not mind blowing as it shouldn't be because it's a watch, but its sharp and loud enough to hear. However, when on a call the talk volume is loud and clear. I forgot I was talking on a watch instead of my phone. I like that you can set different rings and tones just like on your phone although choices are a little bit limited. Apps for entertainment and other genres are also extremely limited. I haven't used bixby yet, so I can't attest to its ability and function. All together the watch is very intuitive and quite responsive. I haven't had any negative experiences. I would definitely recommend this smart watch for someone like me who is new to the game and to someone looking to upgrade.

Great design, screen, and battery life
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch is a great all-round smartwatch that builds on the strengths of previous versions while also failing to shake loose of some of their limitations. Pros: - Excellent build quality - Attractive design with a truly round screen and sizes to fit a variety of wrists - Rotating bezel is an outstanding way to control a smartwatch - Outstanding OLED screen helps watch face designs look their best and provides strong visibility even in sunlight - Strong battery life – even the smaller 42mm design manages to last 2-4 days depending on usage and settings - Solid suite of built-in applications cover all the smartwatch basics, including a rich implementation of Samsung Health - Works with almost any smartphone and can connect over WiFi without needing to be in Bluetooth range Cons: - Very limited selection of third-party apps - Samsung pay implementation was hit and miss for me - Voice control is via Bixby, which is still not as strong as Google Assistant - If you want to use the watch for phone call audio, the require audio Bluetooth connection can conflict with other connections such as in-car handsfree systems Hardware and Performance The new Galaxy watch is superbly constructed from high quality materials. The included rubber strap won’t be to everybody’s taste, but it is soft and comfortable and the lugs are standard widths so its easy to swap in other off-the-shelf watch straps. The standout features are the OLED display, which is very sharp and makes watch faces look great, and the outstanding rotating bezel. The bezel is the single best interface element I’ve seen on a smartwatch, being intuitive and efficient to use, with a nice tactile action as well. Performance is very quick and I’ve noticed no lag in daily operation. Battery life is superb for a smartwatch, lasting well into 3 days with moderate use and GPS enabled. Enabling the (very good) “always on display” reduces battery life to about 24 hours, although the quality of the resulting display is better than I’ve seen in other implementations. The included speakers are sufficiently loud to be heard in most situations and the microphone did OK picking up my voice commands (Bixby’s less than stellar speech recognition notwithstanding). Charging is handled wirelessly, and Samsung includes a nice charging stand and adaptor in the box. The stand holds the watch sideways, which I prefer for efficient use of space on the nightstand. In the back of the watch is a suite of sensors for monitoring of hear rate and stress levels. All in all, as with most Samsung products, there’s very little to complain about in terms of hardware quality. Software and Features Samsung loads the Galaxy Watch with a full suite of smartwatch features for everything from notifications, call controls, messaging, media playback (both on-device and remote control), weather, news, and the very deep Samsung Health tracking and exercise suite. All of this runs on Samsung’s Tizen, a lightweight but mature mobile operating system that Samsung has now used across several generations of smartwatch. It’s just as well the included software is so robust, because as much as Tizen is a great OS for wearables, there is very little third-party developer support. I was unable to find native apps for some of the big names like Nest, Wemo, etc. There are workarounds to these omissions, including IFTTT support, but native apps would be far easier for most users. There are some independently developed apps, including one for Nest, but support and longevity are an open question. In general, if you’re looking to cover the basics and have robust health tracking, the built-in software has you covered. If you’re looking for a device to control all of your smart home needs (and you don’t use Samsung’s Smart Things hubs), this may not be as great a fit. One area where there is a huge variety of third-party options is watch faces. There is a large library to suit almost any taste, including many solid free options. The watch faces really come to life on the excellent OLED display too. Samsung includes Samsung Pay and NFC support. I was able to import one of my cards from an install of Samsung Pay I’ve been using successfully on a Galaxy S7, but so far I’ve been unable to get it to complete a payment, despite at least one of the terminals I tried explicitly stating support for Samsung Pay. I assume I’ve just been unlucky and your mileage may vary. One thing to keep in mind is that this particular implementation of Samsung Pay works only with NFC terminals – the magnetic stripe transmission system that makes Samsung Pay unique on phones is not supported on the watch. In all honesty, I find it easier to just whip out my phone in any event since there I can use the fingerprint reader rather than putting a PIN into the watch before making a payment. Conclusion Without broader third party support for Tizen, the Galaxy Watch is very much a case of “what you see is what you get”. If you live in Samsung’s ecosystem, or you’re happy with the admittedly very good built-in functionality, you’re likely to be very pleased with this device. The performance is quick, battery life is strong, display is excellent, and the bezel makes navigating the system a breeze. However, if you’re looking for deep integration with major non-Samsung smart home providers, you may be better served with offerings than run on more mainstream operating systems.
