    Fantastic Smart Watch!

This is my first Samsung smart watch, so coming from my original Moto 360 running WearOS was very different. For starters, I love the design and rotating bezel. Screen quality is also good for a smartwatch. One of the main features I got this watch for is the battery life. Although it doesn't last 7 days like Samsung says, but I get a solid 5 days every charge with moderate use, including checking nearly every notification I get, answering a couple calls, and responding to some texts. If I wanted to, I could get a 6th day out of it but I charge it when it gets to 50%. I have a Galaxy S8 so it works well with that. Unfortunately, no Google Assistant but that is to be expected. Replying to texts is super easy as there are multiple choices on how to reply, even on my third-party texting application. I wish Gmail notifications worked better on it, but Samsung will be Samsung. Overall, great watch and I'm happy I purchased it.

So far I have owned this watch for just under 3 years. It has been amazing. He's done everything I've asked of it and everything that I don't want it's easily enough removed. I'm pretty hard on watches for the most part and this thing has taken a beating. Will definitely be purchasing another when this one finally kicks the bucket.

Tried the S3 and Chose Galaxy Watch

    Posted .

I bought a Frontier S3 because of the price drop. The use level I have for a smart watch is getting to use the watch as a cellphone on my wrist. No more digging the phone out to answer a call, see a message, check the weather, plus I use the basic health monitoring features like HR and steps. I had the S3 for just under the two week return period and was never able to get the watch to run consistently. The biggest issue was battery use. Too much tweaking of the settings and yet, a 50-50 chance the battery consumption would go crazy. Not to mention the infamous bezel that rattles and feels loose or tight, depending upon the day of the week. The Galaxy Watch has seemed to fix the issues I had with the S3. Changing settings doesn't seem to throw the power management software out of whack, and the battery doesn't appear to suffer when the watch is being "used" more, such as tracking a brisk walk. The newer Tizen software has a convenient settings menu that can be accessed on the phone as well as from the watch. I missed the default Chronograph watch face that came with the S3, so I downloaded it to keep the S3 "look". The bezel on the Galaxy Watch is better than the S3 model. It fits firmly and canned be nudged and tapped with no movement or rattle. It rotates smoothly with crisp detents and little to no audible clicking sounds. It lacks MST which is a show stopper for some. One notable feature is the new watchband, which is supposedly a silicone-rubber composite. Regardless, It was a pleasant surprise in the fit and comfort department as it conforms to my small wrist better than the S3's watch band and the watch stays in place better with no tendency to rotate or slide. I didn't want to spend more, but am glad I did. The Galaxy Watch's stability, improved bezel, and being waterproof made it worth the difference once I had it in my hands and saw what it could do. The S3 is a great watch, but if you don't own one and have the chance to choose, the Galaxy I feel is a best choice. If Samsung Pay is a priority, then the S3 is the only choice.

    Best Smartwatch on the Market

    Posted .

This is the best smartwatch available today. It has great battery life, the screen looks fantastic, the built-in watch faces are amazing with thousands more available on the store. My top complaint about the watch is it's lack of integration with Google Maps or Waze. The navigation apps for it are terrible. If it had better navigation it would be converging on perfection. That being said it is a worthy upgrade from the Gear S3 (which I had for some time) and is a much better look and feel than any of the Android Wear watches on the market today.

    Best battery life I've had

This has been the best battery life of any true smart watch I've had. I use about 20% a day with this, maybe 25 if I am playing with it a lot. The last Samsung I bought was a Gear S2 so I can't speak for how much of an improvement it is over the S3 but it's much better than the S2. I also have a $330 Garmin which is great but has no real features other than GPS and amazing battery life and notifications.

I've owned the S2, S3 classic and now this. They brought back some of the features and customization of watch faces from S2 which I sorely missed. I've been wearing it for 13 hours and the battery is at 77%, a huge improvement. The always on display can always be seen without any input, the analog hands or the digital numbers are always there. The stock band is surprisingly comfortable and matches the bezel well, kind of a brushed rubber. If you've waited, get this one or if you have the S3 the upgrade will surprise you.

Samsung Galaxy Watch w/ iPhone X

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have owned this watch for just about a week now and am so far very impressed with the quality. From the rotating bezel, to the quality of the screen, this is a very well made product. I used to own the Apple Watch series 1 and this BLOWS it out of the water. I also use this watch with an iPhone X and yes it does have some drawbacks like fewer selections in the Galaxy Store and not being able to respond to messages, but overall I don't consider those a deterrent from purchasing this watch over the Apple Watch. PROS: BEAUTIFUL Screen, Rotating Bezel, Extremely customizable, A Multitude of exercises/monitors(like sleep and heart rate), Battery(about 2 full days), fit-and-finish, works with both Android and ios, PLENTY of watch faces, Spotify built-in for offline listening, Widgets!, Samsung Health App is easy to use and great motivation, Water resistant up to 5m, You can still make/receive calls through the watch with iPhone, and the list goes on! Cons: Battery(they state 4 days, but you would literally have to turn off everything on the phone to get that kind of usage). ios capable but not 100% compatible(for me it works, but for some could be a deal breaker), and that's about it. Overall, love the look of the watch especially compared to the apple watch. If you're looking for a smart watch and fitness tracker in one, this is it!

    Great Smart Watch

This is the 1st smart watch I have purchased and so far so good. I originally was looking at the S3 Frontier but when I finally went in to purchase it the new Galaxy Watch was out. While both are similar in size and basic features the new Galaxy Watch seems to have much better battery life then its predecessor. I can go about 5 days before it will be complete dead so I recharge it on day 4 when it is down to just under 20% The feature where it tracks your sleep is kinda neat. Evidently I am not as a heavy sleeper as I thought and kind of weird to see how much your heart rate slows down when you are asleep. Didn't particularly like factory band that it came with, just a personal dislike for rubber or plastic watch bands, so I got a milanese loop band and a black stainless steel link band. Personally all metal bands just make it feel like a high end watch as opposed to plastic or rubber watch band that makes it feel like a dollar store watch. Overall a great smartwatch.

Had the frontier was not happy with The battery life also I really wanted it to be waterproof… with this watch they improved on battery life I'm on day 3 and the watches at 53% And having it waterproof to 50 m is awesome . All of the upgrades they have done with this watch over the frontier is completely worth upgrading to this watch. I personally don't see the big deal with the changes they did with credit card payment method....also Getting rid of S voice and integrating Bixby is awesome.

This watch is one of the best! I work in a kitchen and it has no problem with heat or water and the batter lasts me up to 4 day before I have to charge it again. I love it its easy to use, I set my wireless headphones to my watch and can easily control my music from there. I highly recommend i even got my boyfriend to buy one.
