    Awesome all around smartwatch

I was kind of nervous getting a watch as large as it is but once I had it on was not as bad. I kind of preferred the size over the 42mm one as I found that watch to be much smaller. The 46mm has a great battery life as I get around 3-4 days after a full charge. I would recommend this watch for notifications and to exercise with.

    Great iterative update

I've had every Samsung watch and fitness band. This one is a great update. At first I didn't like the color, but it's grown on me. Waterproof confirmed with many laps in the pool. Battery 4 days. Smooth OS. Bluetooth is great, switching headphones from phone to watch is now much better. *do not put a bunch of apps on this watch. Just run it like it is and you will get great performance and battery. If you do install apps, use larger reputable companies. *spotify is still not updated and will still play music out loud after every call. Interface is still terrible. They do not plan to update it, so do not buy thinking you will use spotify. Just load music to the watch and listen through the native player.

I bought this watch for my husband as a Christmas gift. He he loved the watch. He used it every day and only recently lost it due to a faulty strap. I think my Christmas shopping got easier this year...time for a new watch.

I have the iPhone Xs Max and the Apple Watch series 4. Pleased with both. So last week I purchased a Galaxy 10s plus and fell in love with this incredible device. I figured I'd buy the Galaxy watch 46mm silver to pair with my incredible new phone. I absolutely love this watch. The heart rate monitor doesn't seem great but I love everything else about this watch. The Big question is if Samsung can build this beautiful device in stainless steel and retail it for $299 why is the Apple Watch in stainless steel $900??!!! Absurd.

This watch has been a worthy tool over the last few years. I appreciate the updates that Samsung does via the app and how useful the watch has been. I'd definitely buy another Samsung watch in the future.

The Galaxy exceeded my expectations in every category. I had the Gear S2 before the Galaxy. The battery last for about three and a half days for me. If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone it is the best match. I have had it for about a month now and I could not be happier.

Nice watch and easy to use. Set up was quick and easy. Customized the dial with family photos great features. I'm upgrading my watch, or I would have still kept it. Would recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful watch, so close to perfect

I love this watch, but I only lasted a few days with it before I had to return it. I thought I'd give it a try because it checks off all the boxes I want in a smartwatch - which are: the ability to download and play music from the watch - preferably with Spotify, battery life of at least 2 days, basic heart rate and fitness tracking, and waterproof. If you read reviews, the main knocks on this watch are the step counter and heart rate monitor inaccuracies, and the Spotify integration not working. I had good luck with 2 of 3 of these issues and the one I thought would drive me the least crazy actually bugged me so much that I returned the watch. I was able to connect to Spotify and download music to the watch (the key is to authenticate through Spotify and not through Facebook when given the choice. However, after a lot of frustration trying to login unsuccessfully through Facebook (which I normally do with Spotify) it worked fine when I finally logged in through Spotify). Downloading music to the watch was slow and ate up the battery, but that's to be expected. Once downloaded, it worked great. The connection to my bluetooth earbuds was mostly good. I wear my watch on my left wrist and the receiver in my earbuds is on the right side. When jogging, there's no issues with connection, but when walking and my hands are down to my side - further from my earbuds, in the 3 workouts I did with them, they only cut out a couple times - which doesn't bug me too much. The heart rate monitor on the Galaxy Watch was actually more accurate than my Garmin Forerunner 235 the few times I tested them out which was pleasing. But the reason I only lasted 3 days with the watch before returning it was because the step counter is so horribly inaccurate that I just couldn't handle it. My Garmin already only counts about 75-80% of my steps (yes, I was OCD enough to have actually counted), but the Galaxy Watch counted about 60% of what my Garmin was. I ran 3 miles and the watch said I only took about 1,000 steps. Which is absurd. When it didn't get better after a couple days, I was done. I didn't think it'd drive me as crazy as it did, but it did. Step counting is the most basic feature of fitness tracking in a smartwatch. And I know the Galaxy is primarily a smartwatch with some basic fitness thrown in (I didn't expect Garmin fitness features out of it which is fine - I don't need more than heart rate, steps, distance, and time), but to not even be able to come anywhere near accuracy in step tracking is just unforgivable in my opinion. If you don't care about step accuracy or fitness tracking at all, by all means, buy this watch, you will absolutely love it. But if you care just a little bit, avoid this watch. I would have kept it if I had any faith at all that Samsung had any intentions in fixing or addressing this issue down the road with patch or bug fix. But if you peruse the Samsung support boards, Samsung support won't even address the issue. It's a glaring problem, it's universal, there are multiple threads about it, but it's complete radio silence from Samsung on it. Maybe sales are good enough that they just don't care, but they lost a smartwatch customer in me and many others until they fix it. Until then, I'll stick with my Garmin with great battery life, great app, ugly as sin screen, horribly designed UI, and tolerable heart rate monitoring.

This is an excellent watch. It connected easily with my phone. I am able to send and receive messages with ease. Love the screen resolution. Easy to set up. I am enjoying using this watch. My only complaint is the lack of colors for bands.

    Best Smartwatch Yet

I've had an Apple Watch, and used to have a Gear S2. This Galaxy Watch is far and away the best that I've used. Battery life is extremely good. Easily a 2 day (or more) battery, and I use the "always on" feature. Band is extremely comfortable, and is plenty long to fit my larger wrist. Apps are very good, screen display is easy to read in any light, and is very crisp and clear. Input via touch or rotating bezel is lag-free, and the click of the bezel has a high quality feel to it. Love the new silver/black look, and the buttons are better than the ones on the old watch. Samsung does a great job of letting you customize this watch with tons of watch faces, and apps that work with it. Fantastic watch.

I upgraded from the gear s3 fronteir to the galaxy watch. First off let me say there is a HUGE difference in battery life. Sometimes I go two days without charging my watch, but only if the screen is turned off yet to try it with it on all the time. Notification intergration is much better, as well as they typing and writing by hand. New night mode and good morning mode are very helpful for me and it's much more accurate at tracking steps/activities. Only thing I wish samsung would do is take their Bixby system out and intergrate Google assistant as that's much better. You can use your watch on your lights, but again it's not the easiest thing to figure out how to use smart things app.

Fantastic watch, but terrible sleep monitor

I had a Samsung Gear Fit2 smart watch that I loved until it broke down two months ago. The "new" Samsung watch looked good and I assumed it would be an improvement. So I got one. In many ways it is an improvement, but there's something seriously wrong with the sleep monitor app. It's really inaccurate, sometimes an hour or two too high and sometimes too low, never as accurate as the Gear Fit2 was. It's as if it is guessing. I hope Samsung fixes this problem soon. If not, next time I'll get something else. If everything else on the watch didn't work so well, I'd have settled on a rating of 3 stars instead of 4. Before ending, I must also comment on battery life: It's great, actually beyond great. Samsung says up to four days? I'm getting six days consistently.
