    Buyer beware

I was happy with my purchase but after a few weeks, I noticed that step counts were lagging. Soon after it became more frequent in inaccurate step/stair counts. I had my phone shipped for repairs and it was shipped back after a few days of work. It said that the HRM was replaced due to a faulty one but I'm not seeing any significant difference. All this happened within a month of use. I did some much research online and on their website and it seems like I'm not alone. There are countless of others experiencing the same exact problem. It's frustrating to shell out $350 for a product that can't perform the most basic feature that many others can for a cheaper price. So buyer beware and do the research before you buy. I have buyer's remorse and so I'm putting out the warning. I have 12+ Samsung products and this is the second item that's failed me miserably.

Don’t waste your money on this watch

I bought this watch because it was cheaper than Apple Watch and it is a good looking watch. The heart monitor is not accurate and very temperamental, if you are sweaty, which you typically are when working out, the sensor errors out. They advertise it as water resistance. Be very careful, the second time I took shower wearing the watch, it got liquid damage. It gets stuck at rebooting loop indefinitely. Samsung is notorious for bad customer service. I sent the watch for repair, they want $198 to fix the liquid damage despite the fact that watch is supposed to be water resistant. I ended up not fixing it and loosing $350. Just want to warn you not to fall for all the good reviews. Samsung has a horrible customer service.

    Pure Garbage

Substandard plain and simple. It’s not even close to the premium fit, finish, and performance of the Apple Watch. Apps have never loaded properly, as in they don’t sync with your other Android garbage. Even if they do, they will find new and creative ways to malfunction. DO NOT purchase this trash. You’ll end up throwing it away.

Loved it! But is lasted only 14 months

I was very happy with this watch until the heart rate sensor cover fell off the back of the watch. Now it won't charge and is useless after only 14 months! I had used the watch carefully. Never took it under water (although it is advertised as water-resistant). Several people have reported this defect on Samsung community forums. Samsung's only response was to charge MORE THAN THE COST OF THE WATCH to make a repair.

    Dissatisfied with Bluetooth

I like everything about this watch except Bluetooth. I cannot even walk into the adjacent room at home or at my office without losing connection. I also lose connection if I cross my arms. This is not acceptable for a $300 watch and this issue pretty much makes this watch useless as far not having to have my phone on me. I have this watch paired with my Galaxy S8 Plus. My Bose Mini has a better Bluetooth radio than this watch.

    TOO MANY ISSUES

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have already replaced the first one I purchased. When I had the same problems with the second one, I decided to call Samsung tech support. They flat-out told me to go back to BestBuy and swap it out again. They were not at all interested in the issues I was having. It was clear to me that they are aware their product is defective. 1. Step count... Catches 60% when compared to other devices of every step I take. 2. Heart rate monitoring is a disastee. The second you begin any sort of exercise, the heart rate monitor stops in its tracks and freezes on its last reading. Reboots don't work. I can't believe Samsung released this. Do not buy this if you are serious Into Fitness, do not buy this if you want all of your steps to count, do not buy this if you don't want a single tricep extensions to count as an entire flight of stairs climbed, and do not buy this if you so much as one an idea of what your heart rate is at any given time. IT WILL FAIL YOU AND FRUSTRATE THE HECK OUT OF YOU. JUST SEARCH FOR THE ISSUES I MENTIONED ABOVE AND YOU WILL SEE THAT SAMSUNG WATCHES HAVE BEEN PLAGUED WITH PROBLEMS FOR YEARS AND THEY CHOOSE TO IGNORE THEM!!!

    Cannot remove annoying apps

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

LAME!!! although the hardware seems great. The battery runs down quickly. You cannot remove annoying apps that tell you how many steps you've walked, or that you need to start moving. If you're athletic at all, the reminders are like a kindergarten teacher giving you health recommendations. I think this watch would be great, if you need to be told to get up and walk, or that you are doing a great job for walking to the kitchen and back. My only theory behind Samsung deciding that you cannot remove the LAME'O' health apps is that they are using them to collect your health information. Samsung is not transparent about what they are doing with your information. If there is a watch made by another company, and you don't like to be told what a great job you are doing for walking to the kitchen and back, then get another watch. This one is LAME LAME LAME. Garmin is far better since it is exercise oriented, or buy a simple watch that tells you time.

Do not buy this watch if you plan to swim with it.

Do not buy this watch if you plan to swim with it. Even though it has a swim mode, the warranty does not cover water damage. Mine went into an infinite reboot loop while I was swimming with it. Samsung verified it was still in the warranty period and directed me to send it in for repair. Samsung then sent me a message that the damage was due to water, so the repair would not be covered under the warranty. Samsung wanted $430 to repair the watch, which was substantially more than the purchase price.

    Horrible, Why Samsung, Why?

So I've been looking for a wearable to go completely hands free and leave my phone not always on me. Purchased the bluetooth version and come to find out the phone will not connect and work properly with car phones which in this day and age is a standard feature I'd think. It will play music through the car phone but will not receive or make calls through it. You still have to do calls on the watch itself or through your phone. The OS is just wonky all around and I suppose if you just want to have the newest stuff out its ok but for those who actually want this watch to integrate with every day life you can forget it. Spotify on this thing is so so which is another reason I wanted this one as I use spotify every day. Technology just isn't there yet on this thing. I just want to hop in my vehicle without my phone and at my fingertips and listen to my spotify while driving and take calls.

    Worst product ever

i had the watch for 4 months and it stopped working. i sent it back to samsung for repair and they said the warranty was void because it was water damaged. they refused to take a second look. i have 2 issues with this 1) how can a "water resistant" watch get water damaged in 4 months when i don't even use it for anything that requires a lot of water 2) there was no proof shown that this was the reason so how can i be certain they are not scamming people with this excuse. do not buy this product unless you have money to throw away, even then i would recommend to please donate to charity. i was a apple watch user before and had the same watch for over 2 years. would think twice before buying any samsung product in the future.

Not compatible with daily used apps

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this watch yesterday, I spent hours trying to figure out how to add more apps that are already installed on my Note 9 and I finally decided to contact Samsung support, I'm very disappointed to say that the watch it's NOT compatible with all the apps the phone can handle, Uconnect, Messenger, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Discover, etc... you only get what the watch supports and that's about it, I had a Moto360 before and that watch connected to about 90% of my apps installed on my Note 3 and Samsung Edge 6 and 7, I have always been a big fan of Android and Samsung but this time, an over 300 dollars smartwatch that mostly works to track my fitness levels, for that I could of have gone with a Fit-bit or something similar for less price, I'll be returning the watch to Best Buy.

Terrible watch! DO NOT BUY!!! NOT WATER RESISTANT!

I bought this watch for my dad for Christmas four months ago and already broke on him and Samsung does NOT stand by there warranty. The only time this watch was went was when he washed his hands at the hospital that he works at during this COVID-19 crisis and Samsung doesn’t want to fix the watch but I stead they’re trying to charge him 339.89. It is not “water resistant” and Samsung will not fix for you! Stay away! Buy an Apple Watch instead! Better off with one of those!

I was really looking forward to this watch. Bought one for myself and wife.. mine has trouble receiving notifications for text message, email, etc... Tried troubleshooting.. contacting Samsung.. nothing! Just recently, the other watches screen stays black. Tried rebooting, troubleshooting, etc.. just really unimpressed with this device. I am against Apple products.. but this watch is making me rethink buying a Samsung

    Worst gadget in the world.

I have a galaxy clock, it does not properly monitor my steps, when I'm walking it sends me a message that I'm stopped. But the biggest problem is when I enter a store, the shop alarm rings, I've done several tests and the problem is on the watch. I was humiliated because the alarm rang and I was checked to see if I am not a thief.
