Good, but not a huge upgrade

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the Gear S3 frontier that I purchased after it came out to the Galaxy Watch 3, this is very similar with only a few small upgrades. The main reason I got this and I'm keeping it, is because it was difficult to install a new battery in the gear s3 frontier. The new galaxy watch 3 does have some nice new features, but it's not a huge upgrade. I traded in my old watch to buy this, which helped offset the large sticker price.

Great smartwatch made by Samsung

Swapping over to the 45mm took day or so to get used to but now I couldn't imagine having a the smaller version again. I love the watch and highly recommend it. Has a very elegant look and seems to be faster and more responsive than my original active. Also the battery life seems to be much better.

Size is OK but a bit hefty for a small male wrist. Circular bezel is OK and generally works well in combination with the touch screen. However some apps are designed for a rectangular screen and their displays lose characters on the left & right of the top & bottom lines. This is a real problem if these are input lines and can make that app virtually impossible to use. The afib measurement is easy to use. It would be nice to have a continuous afib monitor mode to catch the occasional event.

Replaced Frontier watch, good upgrade

Nothing unique about this smartwatch

Battery life is mediocre unless you shut down most of it's functions, but then, it wouldn't be a smart watch. It would just be another expensive equipment that tells time. Work around, charge it when you shower. People say Tizen does not have much support like Wear os. It's a watch, not your phone, what else would you want it to do? Overall, I enjoy my purchase. It is pricy for the limited functions and the functions Samsung promises to roll out but I love it!
