While I have enjoyed the watch for the year it has worked, I am horribly disappointed in Samsungs customer service. I installed an update that literally broke the watch. They will repair it for free but it will take them about 2 weeks.

I got this watch to track health goals and sleep patterns. The battery life is pretty good, about a day and a half, and it charges quickly enough. The tracking is easy to use. I like having the tracking right on my wrist because I tend to leave my phone around. I did buy a cover for it because I noticed I was hitting it on things. It never cracked or anything, I just wanted to prevent that from happening. I like that I got the 4 for a great price and it pretty much does everything that the 6 does for way less. The only big con that I have is that I cannot remove apps from it. I have been turning off all notifications on my phone from social media, email, etc., and I wish I could remove those apps from the watch.

Iffy battery but otherwise great watch

When I first got the watch, the battery was HORRIBLE. I had to charge it 2 or 3 times a day! However, I found something online saying that I should look for an update, which I did. That helped considerably. I still charge my watch during the day for fear that it will run out of battery when I need it to track my exercise, but other than that, it's a great smart watch. It has far more functions than my Fitbit Versa 3, and it provides more health info, too. If the battery were better, I'd give the watch 5 stars.

Bought this as an upgrade from my Samsung Gear. The Gear was very light on my wrist and this is not too heavy. I don't like heavy watches. The 40mm is fine for a man. Don't expect to get through a day without charging at some point. I tried to use iHeart Radio but it is not working. Spotify worked once. Meh to that. Sleep tracking is interesting for me as I have Apnea. The O2 monitoring is not as accurate as my other devices, and it doesn't warn you when it gets too low. Despite these negatives, I like the watch. Caveat: I'm a Samsung phone user, I'd have an Apple watch if I had their phone.

Wanted so bad to like this watch. The features are great, everything works like it should, and we finally can stream YouTube music without a phone! The problem is the battery won't last all day. I've tried turning off all notifications, and it still can't last. I can tell you from real world experience that there is a HUGE difference in battery life between the 40mm & 44mm GW4. I bought 1 of each last week on pre-order and they both arrived last Wednesday. Gave the 40mm to my wife for her birthday. Starting the day at 100% at 7am, it was down to 10% by 1pm. She went on a 45 minute walk and took a 5 minute phone call during that walk. Other than that, didn't use the watch for anything other than looking at it occasionally to check the time. Oh and yes, AOD was turned off, as well as NFC and most notifications. We called and they recommended returning the watch and buying a new one, hoping that maybe we got a lemon. Got the new one 2 days ago, set it all up yesterday and fully charged it last night. She wore it all day today and we just got back from a 50 minute walk. She was streaming Spotify during the walk, and it completely drained the battery by 5:30pm. My 44mm is way better though. I can get two 45 minute workouts in, stream Spotify for the entire thing, and still have over 30% at the end of the day. So I can highly recommend the 44mm, but unfortunately can not recommend the 40mm.

Elegant for the price. I use it mostly for counting the steps during my routine daily walk. It has done excellently on this. It also has other features of a smartwatch. However, unlike my Fitbit Versa 2 which may not be recharged for 5 days, the battery of this smartwatch runs down quickly and has to be charged everyday. I have had the watch for only one month.

I actually ordered this as soon as it was available via Samsung but wanted to share a review here hoping it will help others. I thought this was going to be a big upgrade from my Samsung Active 2. It's really not. The screen is noticeably better and maybe the performance is somewhat faster. It is a bit smaller and sleeker than the Active 2. But the battery life is worse. I've only had it a couple of days now, but the battery life is about 1 day it seems when I pretty easily could get 2 days out of the Active 2. I may need to adjust some settings but the battery is not an improvement. If the battery life is as bad as it seems this a big downgrade as the batter on the Active 2 wasn't really great. The biggest disappointment is the software. I thought this would be Wear OS. Its really the same Samsung interface as the Active 2. There are some subtle differences in the look and feel. There is the access to Google Play Store (not much there really). But its really not much of a departure from the Active 2. Its Wear OS "behind the curtain" but the same Samsung stuff as previously and that's not what I was expecting. Its really not a big upgrade as far as the hardware. The battery may be a downgrade (a bit more time will tell) and the so-called transformation to Wear OS has been nullified by Samsung's interface. I'm very disappointed so far.
