The Android user's answer to the Apple Watch. Coming from a Fossil Gen 5 I was excited to give Samsung another try. I am happy to report that I made the right choice. Quick Hits: - Beautiful display, everything is crisp and modern - Buttery smooth, no lag, very responsive to commands. - Be ready to buy a nice band of your choosing, the band it comes with is not comfy or flexible near the lugs. Amazon has lots of choices, you'll want the 20mm bands. - Does not fast charge per se. You'll need to give it an hour or two to charge, depending on how depleted your battery is - No google assistant yet, but it's "coming." - Samsung Pay and Google pay both work great Battery Life: - With Always-on Display turned on and the watch at factory settings, the 44mm model (bigger battery than the smaller version) will get you 24-30 hours with actually using the watch and not babying it. - With the Always-on display turned off and the "tilt to wake" function enabled, you simply turn your wrist as if to look at the watch and the screen pops on very smoothly. When you stop looking at it the screen turns off. This mode gets you right around 48 hours of battery life in my experience. Again, not babying the watch. In both of my experiments, I was taking a heart reading every 15 minutes and I had WIFI turned off cuz I always have a connection to my phone. To sum it up, there is not a better Android watch out there right now. This is the one to get. Phone paired to watch was a Google Pixel 5. The pairing was easy and done in a few moments.

Extremely hard to setup and the fucntioning is ridiculous sorry but no for me!

Love this watch. Battery lasts 2+ days with my usage. Needed a good watch for work as I need to constantly be looking at the time in order to stick with ongoing deadlines. Pulling out my phone each time was getting tedious. This watch is quick, shows all of my daily calendar updates, takes phone calls, is loud enough and has great battery. The watch face customizations are awesome. Love it. Can't say anything bad about this watch yet. Got the 44mm as my wrist is bigger, and this band still has 4 or 5 holes left to go when it's on comfortably. All of the default apps work with my Pixel 5; heartbeat, stress, maps, etc.. Love this watch. I also bought an extended warranty so that if it messes up within the next two years, I can get a replacement for free. Yes! I bought a dock stand for it(pic attached), and I think it's a good way to keep track of the charge of it. This watch charges to full in about 90 minutes. I think that's pretty good for 2 + days of battery usage. Super comfortable, very good battery life, convenient for work and personal use, and the green band looks really good. Highly recommended.

This watch has been very useful with no issues to speak of. Very durable. Has about 1 3/4 days of battery life at the low bright setting. Accurate time settings. Apps very visable and colorful. Easy to read text and other visable things on it. When talking on the phone with the watch, you can easily hear the other party as well as them hearing you. I have purchase the 40mm and the 44mm in diameter. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Finally! This is what I had always hoped for in an Android wearable. I have owned Pebble watches (which I always revert back to), Samsung and Fossil. Pebble was my favorite until they went belly up, Samsung was ok, but was severely lacking for apps, fitness and battery life. Fossil was Google Wear, but battery life and sooooo slow. The Galaxy Watch4 is exactly what I wanted. Fast, excellent fitness apps, apps for days due to play store and fantastic battery life.

This watch does everything I need it to. I refuse to turn to apple products so I needed something that could compete with the apple watch but in my preferred Samsung state. This does the trick. It connects to my phone effortlessly. I have not had any issues with battery life (I do only use it for half a day, I don't typically keep it on when I get home). I mainly wanted it to control my music & respond to texts when I am not by my phone. The ease of changing songs on Youtube Music was pleasant. They offer many ways to respond (swipe, type, talk) which made it uncomplicated when replying to texts. This is a worthy component to the Apple Watch for anyone who doesn't want to turn to the dark (expensive" side of tech.

I got this watch for my dad. He has been using this since more than a year now and he loves it. I myself use this exact same watch and decided to gift the same to my dad. Very comfortable to wear, easy to use, connects with android, iPhone easily. The battery life is extraordinary. When fully charged, it lasts for almost 2 days with all the functionality usage, and more than 2 days on battery saver mode. I am a big fan of this watch and now 4 people in my family use this watch. Samsung has done a great job with this product, definitely value for money. Durability is great, I have dropped this several times without any damage. It also detects and turns on water mode and can be used while swimming. Auto detection of exercise amazes me. A lot of activity modes are set up and more are constant added with the free software upgrade.

This is my first smartwatch ever, so far I'm really happy with it, easy to charge, not heavy neither bulky for a 44mm screen, and I'm already used to wearing it all the time.

Great smartwatch and more affordable compared to Apple Watch. I switched over to iPhone for over an year now and still use my Samsung Watch since I mainly use it for keeping track of workouts, time, and view notifications. I am not able to send or recieve texts but I do recieve notifications. Got it for my dad for a gift and he loves it. The design of the watch is very sleek and great for everyday.

Love the watch, the fit and quality of the material. It's water proof, remember to turn on the waterproof feature, which is easier to find in this model. I love the different screen options, band types, easy of navigation through the settings. You can answer and take calls, control music, monitor your steps, swimming, cycling, bp, heart, respirations and pulse.

Now most people are leaving bad reviews and have only had the watch for a few hours. Any purchase you buy will take a day or more to adjust ro things like your useage and the battery. Give it more then 5 hours like most impatient people on here. First day, yes, battery was way off, but like ANY electronic device, you let it die the first day then fully charge it, its called Calibrating battery. Dont listen to the negative reviews, give it a chance and you'll love it. I've own at least 6 other Samsung branded watches and i can clearly say this is the best one to date, amazing device.

I've been using nothing but Android phones for easily over 10 years now. I've veered from Samsung, but always came back to Samsung. Up until recently, Samsung would include everything in a box minus a case. These days it is barebones and it is a horrific decision on their part. Another notorious Samsung issue is ALWAYS releasing phones and watches that are incomplete, but than updating them throughout their lifecycle. This watch is wonderfully built, faster than ever, but still has issues. And the latest one is that your watch WILL NOT vibrate to notify you that you have a GMAIL email. Ridiculous. And, again, the calories burned in real time, say for example while lifting weights, just does not keep pace with how vigorous you are working out. With Garmin, for example, the harder you workout, the higher and higher the heart rate will climb and along with it calories will burn faster. Slow down, and so will the calorie burn count. Garmin has perfected this. Samsung still has not. And finally, the band is the worst yet. It does not fully articulate where it connects. There is no freedom of motion on the strap all the way up and all the way down. When bringing together the two straps to strap it on, you have to really reach back to grab the loop the strap goes into. It should wrap naturally around the circumference of your wrist like any traditional watch. It would make it feel more natural, and you would be able to fit it snugly around the wrist. The strap is still far too long also. I am one hole short of reaching the end as I strap it on. I still gave it four stars because unlike my past purchases of Samsung watches of which I would get easily frustrated early on and return them, this watch is the fastest to date, operates much more smoothly hardware-wise, and of course I hope that Samsung will soon rectify the little hiccups it has in its initial release.

Pre-ordered this product and was not disappointed. I will say, the band takes some getting used to. It's much different than the Active2 because the band doesn't articulate up and down. I have found that this watch is lighter than it's predecessor and feels better on my wrist. I'm not a fan (yet) of the watch faces being on google play. This seems to be more tedious than before and allows for more permissions, but that's minor. Can't wait for more watch faces to come out

Charging was always an issue with my Samsung Gearfit watch. The charging with the Galaxy Watch is much more reliable. On top of that, it is a noticeable upgrade in performance and apps that are available. Optional screens provide a lot of information. I have also found that the battery life can be extended to multiple days by playing with settings.

Absolute homerun for Samsung... great performance, features, battery life, and screen! Apps are easy to install and get to. Many settings to tweak everything exactly like you want it. This is definitely the Apple Watch for Android, and arguably better if you prefer round faces and/or the Samsung ecosystem. Only major con is that if you are not on a Samsung phone then you will lose a few health features (but wasn't important to me).
