I am absolutely thrilled with the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic Stainless Steel Smartwatch in the 46mm size and the Black color variant! This smartwatch has truly impressed me with its outstanding features, elegant design, and seamless performance. The first thing that caught my attention was the premium build quality. The stainless steel construction not only looks and feels luxurious, but it also ensures the watch is durable and can withstand my active lifestyle. The black color gives it a timeless and sophisticated appearance that goes well with any attire, be it formal or casual. The 46mm size is perfect for those who prefer a larger watch face, and I find it to be just the right size for my wrist. It's a clever and intuitive way to interact with the watch, and I find myself using it constantly. The battery life is impressive, considering the feature-packed nature of this smartwatch. With moderate usage, I can easily get through a full day without worrying about recharging. The fast charging feature is also handy, ensuring I can quickly top up the battery when needed. As someone who loves music during workouts, the watch's ability to store and play music directly from my wrist is a game-changer. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic Stainless Steel Smartwatch 46mm BT in Black has exceeded my expectations. Watch is nice and battery life is good. Purchased this so I can start enjoying Google Wear OS. However, a week after release, still don’t have many apps available. Until it has more apps, it’s a three stars watch as it’s not much different from previous gen. Battery life is about the same but a lot better than Apple Watch.

If you want ro know about this watch, there are plenty of written and video reviews, Im not going to tell you anything about the watch you can't find out by doing a bit of searching. My main gripe is that the supplied band is kind of blah, very average silicone band. Minor thing, but for the price, would like something that feels more premium. I got this watch because I love the tactile experience of the mechanical bezel to move amongst apps. It is silky smooth and very gratifying. I am a big fat man, so I appreciate the fitness tracking as I attempt to be less fat, but Im not out there running marathons so I can't really comment on those features. Things like the stress gauge and body composition seem pretty gimmicky, but the sleep tracking made me realize I need to get treatment for apnea so that was a good nudge for my health and maybe justifies the purchase altogether. I also wish, as the title implies, that it was a bit more visually interesting. Granted I did get the black version, but I wish it looked as good as what an analog watch at this price might look. I've worn this in the shower a number of times and it has not had any issues. I would not have any reservations wearing it while swimming.

As a tech enthusiast and fitness enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of acquiring the Samsung Smart Watch, and after several weeks of extensive use, I am excited to share my thoughts on this sleek and feature-packed wearable. Design and Build Quality: The Samsung Smart Watch boasts an eye-catching design with a premium build quality. The slim and lightweight construction makes it comfortable to wear throughout the day, even during intense workouts. The rotating bezel is a brilliant addition, offering an intuitive and seamless way to navigate through the watch's interface, ensuring that it remains smudge-free on the display. Display: The AMOLED display is nothing short of stunning. Colors are vibrant, and the sharpness is commendable, providing excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. The customizable watch faces allow personalization to match any style or mood, and I found myself switching between faces frequently. Performance: The smartwatch's performance is smooth and responsive, thanks to its powerful internal hardware. Navigating through apps, notifications, and menus is a breeze, and I encountered minimal lag during my usage. The watch handled various tasks, from tracking workouts to receiving messages, with efficiency. Fitness and Health Tracking: For fitness enthusiasts like myself, the Samsung Smart Watch proved to be a valuable companion. Its built-in heart rate monitor, GPS, and accelerometer deliver accurate fitness data, enabling me to track my workouts, heart rate, steps, and distance with precision. The watch offers a diverse range of workout modes catering to various activities, making it a comprehensive fitness companion. Battery Life: While the battery life is generally adequate for a full day of use, I found myself needing to charge the watch nightly, especially when using it extensively for fitness tracking. Depending on individual usage patterns, some users may wish for a more extended battery life, but the watch charges relatively quickly. Software and App Ecosystem: Samsung's Tizen OS provides a user-friendly experience, and the app ecosystem has grown considerably over time, offering a diverse range of apps to enhance the smartwatch's functionality. However, it's worth noting that some apps may be limited compared to those available for other popular smartwatch platforms. Smartphone Integration: Seamless integration with my Samsung smartphone was one of the standout features of this smartwatch. The ability to receive notifications, respond to messages, and control music playback directly from my wrist proved to be immensely convenient, reducing the need to constantly reach for my phone. Conclusion: The Samsung Smart Watch is undeniably a feature-rich and stylish wearable, perfectly suited for those seeking a versatile companion to manage their daily life and fitness activities. With its elegant design, impressive display, and an array of health and fitness tracking features, it has become an integral part of my daily routine. While the battery life and app ecosystem could be improved, the overall experience has been delightful. If you're a Samsung enthusiast or someone in search of a well-rounded smartwatch, the Samsung Smart Watch is a commendable choice.

Great first smartwatch, but not worth upgrading to

TL;DR unless you don't already have a smartwatch, this probably isn't worth the money. I came from a nearly 5 year old Huawei watch 2. Honestly, it's still 80% of what the galaxy watch 4 classic is, and you can find it online for 80% less than the price of this watch. This review will be coming from the standpoint of someone who upgraded from an older watch. If this one will be your first smartwatch, you'll love it! If not, this review is for you. Battery life: 5/10 I've had this watch for about a month now, so I feel confident enough to talk about the battery life. This thing gets about 2 days of battery with the always on display turned off. That's... alright, but certainly not what you'd want for $380. My Huawei watch gets exactly the same battery life, and it's had 5 years of battery degradation. Software: 6.5/10 Wear OS 3 confuses me. From an end-user standpoint there's not much different from Wear OS 2. The software skin is different, but the actual OS doesn't do anything differently or better than Wear OS 2 did. Samsung's software skin will take a while to get used to if you're coming from another Wear OS watch. The app drawer was moved to where the notifications used to be, swiping through notifications is pretty clunky compared to Wear OS 2, and they removed the wrist gestures for scrolling through notifications. Even the small decisions just don't make any sense. You can't have the app drawer sort in alphabetical order, and there's STILL no Google Assistant support. It's not all bad though. For the most part scrolling through things is smooth and fluid, it's well integrated with Android, and makes many tasks significantly easier. The on-watch media controls are great. It automatically pops up when I have something playing on my phone, and I can change the volume by rotating the bezel, which is super handy. On that note, the software as a whole takes great advantage of the rotating bezel, and it makes navigating the OS much easier and more pleasant. Hardware: 9/10 The build quality is great. The watch itself feels premium and well designed. The default strap is pretty decent, but I quickly swapped it out for a leather strap. The rotating bezel is fantastic and really fun to fidget with. There's really not much else to say here. It's just overall a great build. Health tracking: 7/10 I didn't buy this watch for the fitness tracking, but from what I've tried with the Galaxy watch, this probably isn't your best option. I've noticed that the sleep tracking isn't all that accurate, and that seems to be the consensus online as well. The heart rate monitor, while mostly accurate, is wrong often enough that I wouldn't really rely on it. Step tracking and exercise detection works pretty well, but it also worked well on my old watch. The ECG, body composition, and blood oxygen tracking seem to work, but I don't have any other devices to test their accuracy. The stress monitor just seems random to me. I have no clue what it's measuring, but I can tell you it's certainly not my actual stress levels! If you're like me and just need the step tracking or occasional heart rate check, this is great. I would read more reviews though if you're looking for much more than that from the fitness features. Overall: 7/10 I've tried a lot of watches since 2015 or so. I tried everything from LG to Fossil, but nothing could replace my Huawei watch 2. This was the first one I actually liked more. I genuinely do think this is the best smartwatch out there right now, and if you're looking for your first smartwatch, you'll love this one. However, it's really hard for me to say that it's worth upgrading right now, especially for nearly $400. I bought this when it was on sale and only paid about $300 after tax and whatnot. I don't regret it, but knowing what I do now I definitely wouldn't have upgraded.

Bought this watch new about a year and a half ago and overall it's good. It does everything you'd expect from a Google Wear OS watch, updated just recently to the latest Samsung One UI so it stays current for now. The downside is battery life. With always-on display and light use with a moderately complicated watch face, I *might* make it from wake up to bedtime without entering low-power mode. With screen blanking, I can make it home with a little under 50%. Could probably choose a simpler face and turn off features like heart tracking to make it longer, but then why buy a smart watch? Based on look, function, and ease of use, it's a solid buy, but could be better. Get it for a reduced price.

This is a great, durable watch. I really like a lot of the features such as recording sleep and steps. The best, my favorite and most useful feature for me is the notifications. I run equipment daily at work so it is hard to hear and rarely hands free most of the time which makes it difficult to check your phone. With feeling the vibration on my wrist, I never miss a call or a text. The size is great, comfortable and looks good. Great choice in purchase. This watch definitely fits my needs.

After a long stay with apple and their eco system I decided to get go back to Samsung for a bit and change things up. I got the Galaxy fold and of course I need to get the accompanying watch to complete the experience. I hadn't had a galaxy watch since the original Classic and let me tell you that Samsung has come a long way. Right off the bat this watch is much more intuitive than my previous apple watch and the style is much more attractive. I find the EKG and heart rate monitor to be more responsive and the watch seems to track my movement much more accurately than my series 7 Apple watch. You wouldn't believe how many times I was working out and the apple watch wouldn't even register my elevated heart rate and create a workout event. The this watch seems to be out performing apple and the battery life is easily double of what I used to get with the apple watch. The only issue I have is that swapping out bands is a royal pain, that alone make me miss my underperforming apple watch.

Firstly I am generally a Fan of Samsung watches. I have almost all of their smartwatches since the Gear 2 (the one with the Camera), the Gear S and my ultimate favorite the Galaxy Watch 2018 version. So my expectations were high for this watch. Bought the 46mm Classic a few days ago, but returned it a couple of days later and here's why. The battery life out of the box was LACKLUSTER, and the selection of watch faces was crappy. And I know the battery has to "learn" your usage habits and adjust and get better over time. Thats like blindly marrying someone and lifting the veil and going well; I could "learn" to love her!!!! I WISHED Samsung & Google would have spent a little more time refining Wear OS so that it would not be such a heavy Battery Hog. Also it would have been nice to have more watch faces out of the box like the 2018 version Galaxy Watch which by the way still kicks butt! On the plus side, the watch is aesthetically and functionally beautiful with the above shortcomings. Hopefully the next version should hit the mark.

    Classic Smart Watch w/Smooth UI

This was my first Smart Watch. I have nothing to compare it to other than standard watches I have had over the years. That being said, there is not much difference to the look and feel of this watch from standard watches I have owned. There are however some clear advantages and some disadvantages when compared to a standard watch. I will start with the looks. This smart watch has the classic look of a standard but expensive looking watch. I purchased the Silver Galaxy Watch4 with the 46mm screen. With the metal frame and bezel and the display lit up, it certainly looks impressive. I opted for the larger screen, and while you might not think the difference 4 mm can make, trust me, it is worth it. The bezel rotates with satisfying clicks. The buttons likewise provide a certain tactile sensation when pushed that is satisfying. The aesthetics of the watch are pleasing. It looks and feels solid. The only letdown for me is the strap. The material itself looks cheap and only lessens the appearance of the watch. I bought a metal strap with no gaps to the frame of the watch and it looks 1000 times better than the stock strap. One other thing to note, this watch is on the heavy side. It's not necessarily the worst thing in the world. It makes the watch feel every bit worth it's price. It also lends to the feeling of solidity and durability. Still, the weight is noticeable and took a few days for me to get accustomed to. As for apps and features, I could go on forever. The fitness tracking, various sensors and monitors, sleep tracking, etc., are fantastic. I value the sleep tracker the most and I have taken greater strides to get better sleep since I purchased the watch. It has helped me get to bed at a more reasonable time and I do feel noticeably better in the mornings heading to work. If you're looking for a smart watch with all of the features, this has just about everything. As for functioning as a watch, it works like any other time piece. One other thing I meant to mention. I spend long days sitting at work at a desk. The watch will prompt me when I have not been active in awhile. I found this to be annoying at first, however, after giving it a chance and doing the various recommended stretches and activities, I find myself less fatigued from just sitting and staring at my screen typing away with no end to the monotony that is any desk workers day. For more in depth info about the apps this watch offers I recommend doing some youtube research. Next is the price. This watch is expensive. It's not that the watch isn't worth it, but there are so many competitors at a more attractive price point, that you can almost certainly purchase a watch for cheaper with almost as many features. There are a ton of offerings from non-name brands that have come such a long way since smart watches first hit the scene, however none of those have the look and feel of this or something from Apple. My wife had a Versa II which seemed great, and it worked well for about a year. Then it stopped working just as the warranty expired. Probably the most important features are the UI, touch interface and rotating bezel. The watch is fast and responsive to touch. I have had no problems with navigation by touch, however, I find the bezel to more enjoyable because of the tactile sensation and satisfaction of the clicking via rotation. It sounds silly, but it works so well and quickly for navigation that it is definitely my favorite thing about this device. The last thing I will comment on is the battery life. I can get about 2.5 days on charge. With powering saving mode on I get an additional 8 hours. The watch will learn your habits over time and maximize it's efficiency, but it also has a lot of customization where you can set it up to your preference and prioritize performance or efficiency. This is the one area where my standard watch excels. No need to recharge and battery replacement has been once every 5 years. However it has no apps, doesn't connect to my phone allow me to text or talk when not near my phone, etc., etc. For me the positives more than outweigh the negatives. I guess the only other thing I will know with time is this devices longevity. it's only been over a month since I have purchased it, but I am having fun with it and use it everyday. To sum up, this is a great smart watch, in my opinion and with my limited experience with such devices. However, I did quite a bit of research before deciding on my purchase. Had it not been for the stock strap looking and feeling cheap, I probably would have given this watch 5 stars. Most people will buy a new strap. I definitely recommend doing so. The strap that comes with the watch is not just cheap looking, like other smart watch straps, it also doesn't fit the form of my arm tightly where the straps connect to the watch. The metal strap I purchased does fit much better to my form.

My wife and I have own multiple galaxy watches. Always loved the look and ease of use. I was disappointed at apps available through tizen os on them. The transition to Google's wear os has been great. The watch itself is very sleek. The rotating bezel is still awesome. Would highly recommend.

The best smartwatch for Samsung phones, pairs perfectly with the S23 Ultra phone. I have both the 42mm and the 46mm. The 42mm fits on my wrist better and I like the shinier side case, this one is all matt stainless look. The upside to this size is bigger screen and battery life, either way, I bought 2, so I can always have one on my wrist while the other one charges. The only difference to the Galaxy 5 is that has a temperature gage, which is currently not activated, and this one has a functioning bezel around the case, which also improves the look, therefore, I chose this over the 5, and it saved me a few bucks.

I don't wear watches but have used various fitness trackers for several years now. This is quite a bit heavier than a fitness tracker but worth it to me for the extra functionality. It's nice to be able to read a text message and give basic responses without having to get my phone. Sleep tracking is on point with other trackers I've used but Samsung ups their game by adding in the ability to track snoring with my Samsung phone. It took a while to setup the Samsung pay feature but it's nice to be able to pay for purchases using the watch if I'm out on my bike and have minimal stuff in my pockets. The stopwatch and fitness trackers are the 2 features that I use the most. After owning a watch like this for several months I don't know if I would want to go back to a basic fitness tracker.

The watch looks great and seems well built. Selecting apps is easy, navigating the watch is very easy. But this is not the watch for me. First thing I noticed was bad battery life. I was getting about a day out of the battery. It would be around 20% at the end of the day but with a new watch, it will only get worse as batteries do. So within a few months of having the watch I assume I would get less than a day, that's unacceptable. Another flaw is the activity tracking. I have an extremely physical job. I worked 14 hours one day and the watch credited me for 30 minutes of "active time". I drive a truck for a large food service company and unload it every day by myself. I'm active at least 70% of my day; lifting, walking long distances, going up and down stairs with a loaded dolly etc. Type of work that makes your heart rate increase significantly. How can the watch say I'm active so little? That example was the most extreme but every single day was way off. Step count was also way off. I know my average step count. I've been wearing "wearables" for many years. Fitbit, other watches, and always Google Fit on my phone. They are always within 1k steps of each other on average. The Samsung credited me less than half. I didn't get credit for the majority of my steps/activity through the day. Not the end of the world, I know what my activity is. But a $400 watch has to get the basics right and they failed there. Another issue was, no Google assistant. How does that happen with WearOS? Also, no Google pay. I don't like adding my credit card info into apps to begin with, and I'm definitely not gonna add it to Samsung Pay. I have 2 cards added into Google Pay on my phone and my watch should simply be an extension of that. I currently use a TicWatch Pro 2020. Last year's model watch, and this Galaxy watch was a downgrade from that in many ways. My TicWatch has about 60% battery left at the end of the day and I set it up exactly the way I had the Samsung. "Screen always on" option was off. Have to tap it to wake it to see my message, notification etc.. On the Galaxy watch, I had to have the app on the watch (in addition to having it on my phone) for a notification to come through. For instance, my Gmail notifications didn't come through on the Galaxy Watch because I didn't have the app on the watch. My home security including Blink and Nest doorbell camera notifications didn't come through on my watch, again because I didn't have those apps on the watch. My TicWatch gets all those notifications without having any of those apps on the watch itself. I'm not a tech expert but my opinion is that this is not a great integration of WearOS on the Samsung Watch. I'm thinking maybe those with a Galaxy phone (or just any Samsung phone) might have a more pleasurable experience. 2 stars because it does seem like a nice watch and the bezel is a really nice feature.

I went back and forth between the 4 classic and the 5 pro. I love all the features and functions of the 4 classic. The rotating bezel is awesome and I use it more than I would have thought and it helps to protect the screen. There are great watch faces that come installed from the factory and the Play Store has some other great ones that have a ton of functions too. The only thing I don't love is the battery but it charges so fast that it really isn't an issue worth dropping a star.

Nice elegant color and design, battery life is great, display quality is superior, user interface is easy to use and works great, slick design, nice weight, I noticed the band doesn't get as dirty as previous samsung watches, I have to clean it less often than my Gear S3 Frontier, it has a ton of functions and useful already pre-installed, speaker is clear enough for a smartwatch, durable materials, the glass is very scratch resistant, haptics are great, I would highly recommend this watch, I love it.

I never mind being an early adopter for tech. But I knew once Samsung got rid of their own OS for Google I could finally ditch my Fitbit. At first, there were like 5 updates that improved the stability and speed of the watch but now it's great. There are plenty of features you may never use but the fact you can take calls, messages, and track fitness makes it a worthwhile purchase. The device is super solid and I have bumped it a couple of times while working on cars and no scratches on the screen (i don't use a screen protector) or casing. I just wish the battery lasted as long as my Fitbit, but I can understand why it doesn't.

I had a Michael Kors watch that could not hold a charge very long. I wanted a watch similar to MKs but couldn't find it. This watch is actually much better because of its features. I switched out the band for a rose-gold metal band and replaced the dial with a rose gold metal dial. So my watch as the aesthetics of MKs and I'm happy with my purchase.
