I am upgrading from the Galaxy Watch 3 to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. I was a little nervous going from Tizen to Wear OS but I am definitely happy I did. Something about Wear OS just feels more fluid and smoother. Overall Samsungs interface intertwine with Wear OS is a very nice touch. Battery on the watch is phenomenal. I typically can get 3 day use out of a single charge and that is before the watch battery adapts to how I use it. The sleep tracking is very spot on and you can even select an option to record how long your snoring while sleeping. I find this useful as I fear I may suffer from sleep apnea so this is a great tool to help me better identify how serious my symptoms of it may be or if I'm just a bad snorer and nothing more. Fitness wise, I go to the gym almost everyday. My treadmills at my gym has the ability to connect the watch to it, which works seamless and keeps track of my progress on the treadmill. One thing I really really like is the watch will give me a report of my heart rate and how much time my heart rate was at a certain rate during a specific time period. For example, it tells me that my heart rate was in a range for 11-12 minutes of weight control. I take this as my heart rate was going at a pace that helped burn fat better. Overall, I really like the design of this watch. I was worried I'd miss the physical dial rotation on it but the touch sensitive one works just fine. The strap is unbelievable comfortable too. Hands down one of the best watch straps I've used on any smart watch. I know there is so much more this watch can do that I haven't hit on, it's advertised to be a great outdoor watch for hiking and trails, but I haven't had a chance to test this out yet, I have no doubt it'll work great for this purpose though. I am glad I jumped on this watch and it goes great with my Galaxy Fold 4. Strongly recommend this watch for any Samsung/Android user.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro - mostly great, but why get rid of the physical rotating bezel / dial? This is a big watch. Just keep that in mind, especially if you are a woman. The watch also feels a bit heavier than most other watches on your wrist. I happen to love the watch size, having always liked G-Shock sized watches before getting smart watches of any kind. This watch is THICK, I guess for that bigger battery, and new health sensor designs, but the thickness actually feels fine for me, and only noticeable when off your wrist. It comes with a really great new magnetic buckle strap. It takes a few tries to get to fit perfectly, but once it does it provides the best fit I have ever had on any smart watch ever. I didn’t have to mess with it once I got it set right. This kept the stellar fitness tracking functions working much better than my previous smart watch. There are a few more fitness related features on this 5 Pro model, including something called track back, which helps if you are out walking and want to go back to exactly the same starting point you came from. The fantastic large screen is great for looking at the map, haptic feedback which feels great, and turn by turn directions to get you back to your starting location. This is a great function while out walking in the woods, where there might be no real walking path for example. Notifications are a dream on this watch. Very fast, and love the feedback vibration, and haptic feedback just feels great. Glad they put in a big battery as this would really drain a smaller battery down much faster I would imagine. I was able to make a few phone calls directly through the watch microphone and speaker, and it works very well, especially if you have your hands full and want to take a call without holding your phone. My only real con on this Watch 5 pro. I have had a Galaxy Watch 4 classic, which is a great watch all around, but always had bad battery life. But, that watch had a physical bezel on it. That physical bezel just FEELS good. It is responsive, it works great. This new Watch 5 pro, is virtually the same spec wise as the Watch 4 classic, with the Watch 5 Pro having a much larger capacity battery and better for those tracking fitness activities and a much more rugged design. But, this new Watch 5 Pro has gotten rid of the physical bezel, and gone back to an inferior touch screen bezel. This isn’t that bad, however the physical bezel was the best, and it baffles me why they got rid of it. If you use this watch for fitness, and your hands are sweaty it becomes much less accurate to use. This is a big downgrade if you are coming from any of the previous Galaxy watches that had a rotating bezel on an otherwise stellar watch, especially when this watch is significantly more expensive, unless you really need all the other fitness and health upgrades and large capacity battery. For me, this watch strikes a good balance between a great smartwatch and a great fitness tracker. This is my favorite smartwatch so far, but please bring back the rotating physical bezel in future versions samsung.

One of the magnet was broken couldn't put it on without falling

It has a touch basil it works better than a physical basil on the Galaxy watch 4 classic sometimes the Galaxy watch 4 classic the physical basil wasn't responsive

I love this watch. The Galaxy Watch 5 is not my first smartwatch. It’s not my first WearOS watch. But it is my first Galaxy Watch. And, I have been impressed. The screen responsiveness is great. I love the amount of storage I have compared to my other WearOS watch for apps and dials. Integration with my Samsung Galaxy phone has been easy. After a week of wear, I only have a few nitpicks. This watch has been great. For those looking for a smart watch to compliment their Galaxy or Android phone, I think the Watch 5 is an easy recommendation. Inside the box, you will find the watch and a charging cable. Note, the charging cable uses USB-C instead of the more common USB-A. You will need a USB-C wall adapter, Samsung Galaxy phone, or a computer with available USB-C port to charge the watch. Charging is super quick. A full charge from 20% took me under an hour using Samsung’s 25w USB-C wall charger. One of my few nitpicks is that the watch supports wireless charging, but not QI wireless charging. In a pinch, I can charge the watch wirelessly from my Samsung Galaxy S22, but I can’t place the watch on my Qi Wireless charging pad and have it charge. I wish the watch supported the more common wireless charging standard. Setup is super easy. You will need to download the Galaxy Wearable app. The app does a good job of walking you through the installation process and updating the firmware on the watch if needed. Assistant integration has been super helpful. Personally, I prefer Google Assistant to Bixby. Thankfully, Google Assistant integration was great and with a few settings changes, I was able to use Google Assistant by default. Alexa integration is non-existent. You can download an Alexa app, but, in my experience, it crashed every few hours and seemed to drain my battery a good deal. But, Google assistant has been super easy. I can turn off my smart outlets and change my AC thermostat from my wrist. Speaking of battery life, The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 has the best battery of any Wear OS watch I have owned. This is my third WearOS watch. Battery life has been between two and three days on a full charge with the Galaxy Watch 5. Again, if you’re using battery intensive apps, your watch life may vary. There are battery saver modes. Syncing data to and from the watch is super easy. Pressing both buttons, I can save a watch screenshot that then shows up on my phone. I can open phone apps from my watch. I can easily sync health and footstep data with my Samsung phone. When it comes to fitness and health data, the watch can gather a lot of information. Together with my phone, the watch has an ECG feature to check for Atrial Fibrillation. I took my dog for a jog and the watch could tell when I started a workout and when it ended. As a fitness tracker, this has been one of the best watches I have had. One of my favorite features is the water lock. I found myself in a rain storm the other day and was glad I had the water lock. I got drenched, but my watch was fine. Turning off the water lock, the speaker vibrates and causes the watch to eject water. The silicone strap is clever. The excess strap pushes under the strap keeping the end of the strap from catching on things. I like the silicone band that comes with the watch, but if you want to jazz up the watch even more, you can get extra bands from Samsung. But, as far as I can tell, any 20mm band should work. I have a couple on order as we speak! Conclusion: I think a lot of Android users have had Apple Watch Envy (I’m making this a thing… go with it). I’ve enjoyed my other WearOS watches, but they always came with performance or battery life problems. I can't compare the Galaxy Watch 5 to prior Galaxy watches, but compared to every other smartwatch I have owned, the Galaxy Watch 5 is my favorite smart watch. Apps perform well. Battery life has been good. Charging time is quick. Interface is intuitive. I wish there was Qi wireless charging, but that’s really been my only nitpick. I think this is a great watch for Samsung Galaxy phone owners or other Android folks looking for a good smartwatch . If you’re on the fence, pick one up. I know you won’t regret it. 5/5

The Battery Life isn't as strong as expected. Have problems with some features such as getting notification on the watch and connecting to my Google accounts. Doesn't seems to be a huge difference with Galaxy Watch 4. The Galaxy Watch 5 Charge is different from other Galaxy watch and requires an extra cable to purchase.

I like that it counts your steps and you can ad your google wallet to it...love it
