Great smart watch, enjoying using it so far. Definitely one of the best Wear OS ones you can get. Battery lasts about a day and a half and charges back up quick as well. Screen is large and bright even outdoors!

After many great years from my Gear S3 Frontier, it was time to upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Samsung has done a lot lately with the 4 and 5 watch series. Mainly for me the new Wear OS 3 and One UI 3.5 is where I’m seeing some very welcomed changes from my Gear S3. Interacting with the device is just a breeze now and having google play store and google apps work out of the box is great. Assistant, google wallet if you want it, all work great. And Bixby and Samsung pay are still there too obviously. It’s just adding more to what was already good and I’m all for it. Coming from a larger watch body already in the Frontier, I’m not having issues with the size of the watch 5 Pro. I am male but I don’t have a huge wrist and I don’t think the Pro is “too big” for my arm. It’s also not that heavy but it does seem heavier than the Watch 5 (non pro) is. My wife has the Watch 4 and hers is definitely smaller and lighter. So if that’s a concern for you, then you may want to go into a store and get your hands on both and see which one is better. I will say, the new curve to the sensor makes the watch fit really nice and comfortable. I’m not a huge fan of the sporty band that comes with it. It’s tough to adjust, which I think is the point, but personally I like to adjust my band often throughout the day, so I may be looking for a different band. That is definitely a personal preference thing though and the band quality is fantastic and really is a cool design, it’s just not for me. One important thing to note, like all Samsung watches, the Watch 5 Pro is better with a Samsung phone. I have a Z flip 3 and they pair beautifully. Now, apple, google, etc, they all will pair and work, but it is my understanding that certain features only work with a Samsung phone. I believe this includes the EKG reading and other health things. I know some people complain about that but c’mon, look at apple, they ONLY work with iPhone users. So I think getting the majority of features for ALL phone users is still a really great deal. And those of us who have a Samsung phone get a little bonus for staying in the same ecosystem, nothing wrong with that. The look, the feel, the OS, it’s all great, so what are the negatives? Well, not a whole lot yet to be honest. The only things I’ve had negative experiences with is really just a software thing that I hope gets fixed soon. This apparently happens on the watch 4 as well and has since launch, but when you have do not disturb on, the “lift to wake” feature still activates. This means when you are sleeping, you have to use something else if you don’t want your screen going off in your face. You can choose either bedtime mode or theater mode. They both have different features you can look up if you want, but for me, bedtime mode was a better choice. But I also noticed when you turn off bedtime mode, it automatically turns off Do Not Disturb as well. If you have this synced with your phone, then it also turns off Do Not Disturb on your phone. I know this doesn’t sound like a big deal, if you’re waking up, then you’ll want do not disturb off anyway right? Maybe, but for me it’s actually been annoying more often than I thought. If I turn off one mode (bedtime mode) it should not also turn of DND mode. But mostly I just wish Do Not Disturb prevented the lift to wake feature, then I would just use that at night. And of course, the cons list isn’t complete without mentioning the missing rotating bezel. I really enjoy that unique Samsung feature and wish they would keep it around. The touch bezel IS nice, to be fair, but it’s not the same and I’ve been noticing on my Gear S3, I would use two fingers (thumb and pointer) to rotate the bezel; something you can’t recreate with the digital version. OVERALL I am really enjoying my upgrade to the Watch 5 Pro. There are so many cool features added since my Gear S3 that makes the upgrade well worth it. Obviously, if you have a watch 4 already, there’s probably not a lot of reason to upgrade, unless you also want the Pro features. The sporty, outdoors, active people are going to love the Pro version and might want to pay a little extra to get it. Personally, I love being outdoors; hiking, climbing, and running and everything else. This watch feels durable enough to handle my crazy adventures, and smart enough to track it all and tell me how I’m doing. There’s just so much to love, it really is the best android smart watch in my opinion. Especially if you have a Samsung phone and can take advantage of those little bonus features too!

This watch is great for all intended purposes however, the "titanium" body will get scratched easily on just about anything. If it really was titanium, the watch would survive at least a few scratches from softer metals like copper etc. I have experienced a bit of lagging and the screen was unresponsive but after a few seconds it just started working again.

It is pretty great with charging, responsiveness with my phone, and feels great compared to my previous fitbit. Great piece of tech to have for my physical lifestyle

Improvement to battery life over the 4 is nice. The watch band is also a nice improvement.
