By far the worst battery life ever. This watch only goes at max 40 hrs before it totally drains the battery. Why will you buy a smart watch when you need to turn off all applications if you want longer battery?? Absurd

Aloha YamilH, thank you for finding the opportunity to share your sentiments with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro. We appreciate your sincerity as we strive to be innovative while improving the design and functionality of our product line. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most enlightening experiences while using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For instance, certain apps can increase battery consumption. Your Galaxy Watch5 and the Galaxy Watch4 models come with their own power saving mode. When enabled, this mode will limit several options in order to save battery life, such as Always On Display, Wi-Fi, and screen brightness. You can also turn on Watch only mode. Please take a moment to review, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" and "Keep your Samsung smart watch running in top shape" for some great tips on getting the most out of your Galaxy Watch5's battery. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support if you would like any further assistance after reviewing the provided resources or if you think of any questions that you have for us. We're always happy to assist you further! Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

Bought for AFIB monitoring; definitely recommend!

My father bought this about 2 months ago (Feb. 2024) for the ECG, heart rate and other health functions for monitoring his AFIB after getting a cardiac ablation...but has also liked being able to see what notifications and phone calls come in as he rarely keeps phone with him while at home. As he put it within the first month when going back into AFIB after the cardiac ablation..."as far as I'm concerned, it's already more than paid for itself. Without it, I probably wouldn't have known for at least another 4 to 6 months, if not longer" (and that was before finding out that additionally it could be written off as an out-of-pocket medical expense on his taxes...or going back into AFIB for a 2nd time now since getting it). For his health and my own peace of mind I've been trying for years to get him to look at something like this after initially going into AFIB; even one of those Kardia Mobile ECG units you see advertised because I never thought he'd even consider a smart watch. He finally spoke with a few cardiologists after going back into AFIB about 6 months ago (having unknowingly been out of sinus rhythm for around 5 months), and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro was one of the top 2 or 3 recommendations because of their experience with accuracy in testing, and the data logs with graphing it creates for him to show his doctors (which the Kardia Mobile apparently wouldn't do, and the necessity of those data logs was emphasized to see the trend and history. The ECG testing has been near identical when tested against the ECG units at cardiologist office), and compared to the Galaxy Watch 6 this has a *much* longer battery life. Outside the health aspects my father uses it for (which was extremely easy to setup for him to be catered to his needs, plus set the parameters for when he'd get notifications of low/high ranged readings), as I'm the one who sets up any new device and am the family go-to any IT/network/device/computer issues...there is *a lot* packed into this watch! This was the first smart watch I've ever handled/tinkered with. If I could afford it, I'd definitely get one of these for myself. Beyond the initial guided setup, it's very easy to set whatever functionality facet to your liking, has loads of default or free customizations from the Google Play Store, and could nearly replace your phone in most aspects while working in tandem *with* your phone. Whether you're looking to get this as a regular smart watch or anything health related, from gym workouts or hiking/cycling/etc to using for heart rate or AFIB...I'd 110% recommend this (if you like hiking, cycling or most outdoors activities, the GPS functions seem like they could be a big added bonus). The only downside has been that blood pressure monitoring isn't available in the U.S. because that aspect hasn't been FDA approved yet (hopefully some day in the not-too-distant future)

Have had this watch for over 6 months and still can't get consistent performance out of it. All I really want to do is see the time and how many steps I take in a day; Should have bought a FitBit. Besides being useless this thing is ugly.

Slow, sluggish, and clunky. Google Assistant doesn’t work with apps correctly (or can’t find them in the watch), so forced to use Bing. Frustrating to use and it’s a shame because I really like the rounded shape.
