Horrible, Had a Galaxy Active 2 watch for 4 years of flawless operation, the Galaxy 5 Pro is garbage. I was out of town when my 14 day return window expired otherwise I'd have returned this junk.

I haven't worn a watch since cell phones came out because really all they did was tell time and I had the time right on my phone. But after trying out this Samsung - Galaxy Watch5 and all of it's features, I am back in the watch game. First of all this watch is an extension of your phone. I have a Samsung S22 which made setup a breeze. I just turned on the watch and it connected with my phone automatically and walked me through the setup process. With the watch I can do all the things that I can do on my phone. Place and receive calls, Text, listen to music, open apps, and use navigation. It's like having your phone right on your wrist. Just swipe right for notifications, left for health apps, down for settings and up for apps. Very simple. As I said, setup is easy and when I put the phone on my wrist I noticed that it was a bit heavy but not overly weighted. It feels very comfortable on my wrist and the strap is rubbery so it doesn't pinch like some bands. The glass is made of sapphire crystal so I feel safe wearing the watch at work and not worry about scratches. The face is large enough to read texts and notifications easily and the home screen is customizable. You can choose from dozens of faces from analog to digital clocks and from animals to flowers to dashboards with lots of info on them. The feature that sold me on the watch is the built in health and wellness apps. Just swipe right to see your steps and active time for the day. You can even program your own exercises into the watch to track those activities. Also you can get biometric readings like heart rate, blood pressure, EKG and stress levels from sensors on the back of the watch. The most important to me is the tracking of your sleep. It will tell you how long you slept, and what type of sleep you got. Light sleep, deep sleep REM are some of the stages of sleep it tracks for you. Also if you enable snore tracking on your phone it will tell you how often you snore at night. The battery life has not been an issue for me. The Galaxy Watch5 last me all day and night. I keep it on while I sleep to get my sleep report. It comes with a wireless charger which will top up your battery to 100% in less then an hour. I just lay my watch on my Samsung S22 and enable wireless power sharing to get a quick charge while getting ready in the morning. I would say if you had a full charge and used the watch until completely empty you would get a full day and half out of it. The Galaxy Watch5 is very comfortable to wear 24-7and with the ability to do pretty much everything your phone does I don't ever see taking it off unless a quick charge is needed.

This watch is for sure the one to get out of the watches they have right now. It has the best hardware, and battery life of anything they offer. I workout daily, and I'm pretty active for my age. This watch is great for that purpose, those that are somewhat more active than others. I have the Watch4, and it's great. However, it does not compare in battery life to this watch by a long shot. When I use my Watch4, I sometimes keep power saving on. This watch has beat that experience, and no power saving needed. I like the design of this watch, but it a little on the big size. I'm a big guy, so I like it. However, ladies you might want to go check it out in person first to test fit it. I banged up my Watch4 a few times, and it took a hit on the side. This watch is titanium, so I should be good in that area. It has the same size screen as my 4, and same internal specs nearly in every way. However, the ban on the watch is different. It might take some getting used to, and it uses a different clasp to keep it on your wrist. I'm still getting used to it as of right now. You can buy another ban though, as this is 20mm...so it's pretty standard that you would be able to find a more traditional ban if you want to. Overall, I like it...and it's for sure an upgrade on battery, that is the main thing i wanted. I got it. Only con so far, is that it did not auto pickup my workout this morning, my watch4 does it every time I workout. It did not record anything. Also had a little trouble reading my pressure. I'm sure this will resolve itself. Buy this one over the Watch5 if you need battery, and better hardware on the outside.

I've had this smartwatch for over a week and so far it is what I had hoped it would be. For me it is a nice size and the included band is very comfortable. The watch has a nice look and seems like it will hold up well. The new OS is great. It's easy to navigate and the battery life is amazing. I have a different android watch from last year and this battery lasts at least twice as long (the old watch is an LTE model but I turn that off a lot). The updated OS also feels faster and has more useable apps. In regard to apps I feel like this watch would work smoother if paired with a Samsung phone but it works with my older android well. There are a number of Samsung fitness apps that I didn't look into but my fiancé has on her phone and seem like if you use them it would be a nice addition to the app. The screen is nice and bright. The touch is responsive and easy to maneuver. I hope it holds up to scratches well but thankfully haven't had to test that yet. I do feel like I could have used the upgrade to the Pro model for some of the outdoor apps, but if you don't need the outdoor stuff or want the smaller size watch this watch would be great. In regard to the size, this watch fit me nicely as a larger guy. My fiance is average size and the watch is definitely big on her wrist. She would need the 40mm model and that would probably be on the larger side of comfortable. Overall this is a great watch with a much improved OS that you should definitely check out. Just do your research on if the regular or Pro model is worth it, I don't think either one would be a bad choice.

This is a nice watch. Is it worth the upgrade? Well, that depends on what you are coming from. It is a lot like the Galaxy4 but I truly enjoy the differences. They are enough that I want to wear the watch daily, however, I work where I use my hands and could bang the watch on metal beams and sharp items every day. The Galaxy5 Pro has a 1mm larger screen and a much larger battery. The first is not all that noticeable but the second is. The watch is much thicker and grabs your attention right away. But, if you are accustomed Samsung, when the watch is in place, you dont really notice the difference at all. The screen is sharp, colors are vivid and the watch glass is noticeably stronger (I already scratched my Watch4). This watch is definitely geared toward the health and sports crowd with many apps to help you track and stay fit. I only use the sleep portion so I am not able to speak towards the health apps. The ability to scroll by running your finger along the outside bezel is a nice touch. The raised lip also provides a little protection but the aesthetics is more here. Not a huge fan of the watch band, it works good, I just like my old fashioned style. The boot up time is noticeably longer even though it is the "same" Wear OS. Battery life is amazing, I usually get about 3 days out of it. Overall, nice watch, especially if you coming from an older Samsung watch. Well done, Samsung.

I have used the pro for about a month and a half. I haven't been bothered by the physical bezel being removed so far I have never had a case for using it. Even if swimming I just put on water mode. The side button controls stop pause and finish so its not really an issue. The sensors are great, it is very accurate and knows when I have just been sitting, or if I am active it starts tracking my exercise for me. I have been using it heavily as I normally workout for about 2 to 3 hours a day and a charge normally last 2 with a good 15% left over. I have just switched to charging it while I take my showers though and now do not have to worry about it dying. For the band I have the magnetic one. When adjusted I often forget about it being on my wrist. I love how easy it makes taking it on and off though so I have stuck with it. My labtop does have a metal surface though and I have noticed the metal on metal is very unsettling. So I just move the watch a bit further up my wrist while I am using it to not make contact. Have not used the hiking map feature but when I looked at how to do it. You have to upload a trail file from your phone for each different trail head you might go on.
