This watch is for sure the one to get out of the watches they have right now. It has the best hardware, and battery life of anything they offer. I workout daily, and I'm pretty active for my age. This watch is great for that purpose, those that are somewhat more active than others. I have the Watch4, and it's great. However, it does not compare in battery life to this watch by a long shot. When I use my Watch4, I sometimes keep power saving on. This watch has beat that experience, and no power saving needed. I like the design of this watch, but it a little on the big size. I'm a big guy, so I like it. However, ladies you might want to go check it out in person first to test fit it. I banged up my Watch4 a few times, and it took a hit on the side. This watch is titanium, so I should be good in that area. It has the same size screen as my 4, and same internal specs nearly in every way. However, the ban on the watch is different. It might take some getting used to, and it uses a different clasp to keep it on your wrist. I'm still getting used to it as of right now. You can buy another ban though, as this is 20mm...so it's pretty standard that you would be able to find a more traditional ban if you want to. Overall, I like it...and it's for sure an upgrade on battery, that is the main thing i wanted. I got it. Only con so far, is that it did not auto pickup my workout this morning, my watch4 does it every time I workout. It did not record anything. Also had a little trouble reading my pressure. I'm sure this will resolve itself. Buy this one over the Watch5 if you need battery, and better hardware on the outside.

This is a nice watch. Is it worth the upgrade? Well, that depends on what you are coming from. It is a lot like the Galaxy4 but I truly enjoy the differences. They are enough that I want to wear the watch daily, however, I work where I use my hands and could bang the watch on metal beams and sharp items every day. The Galaxy5 Pro has a 1mm larger screen and a much larger battery. The first is not all that noticeable but the second is. The watch is much thicker and grabs your attention right away. But, if you are accustomed Samsung, when the watch is in place, you dont really notice the difference at all. The screen is sharp, colors are vivid and the watch glass is noticeably stronger (I already scratched my Watch4). This watch is definitely geared toward the health and sports crowd with many apps to help you track and stay fit. I only use the sleep portion so I am not able to speak towards the health apps. The ability to scroll by running your finger along the outside bezel is a nice touch. The raised lip also provides a little protection but the aesthetics is more here. Not a huge fan of the watch band, it works good, I just like my old fashioned style. The boot up time is noticeably longer even though it is the "same" Wear OS. Battery life is amazing, I usually get about 3 days out of it. Overall, nice watch, especially if you coming from an older Samsung watch. Well done, Samsung.

I have used the pro for about a month and a half. I haven't been bothered by the physical bezel being removed so far I have never had a case for using it. Even if swimming I just put on water mode. The side button controls stop pause and finish so its not really an issue. The sensors are great, it is very accurate and knows when I have just been sitting, or if I am active it starts tracking my exercise for me. I have been using it heavily as I normally workout for about 2 to 3 hours a day and a charge normally last 2 with a good 15% left over. I have just switched to charging it while I take my showers though and now do not have to worry about it dying. For the band I have the magnetic one. When adjusted I often forget about it being on my wrist. I love how easy it makes taking it on and off though so I have stuck with it. My labtop does have a metal surface though and I have noticed the metal on metal is very unsettling. So I just move the watch a bit further up my wrist while I am using it to not make contact. Have not used the hiking map feature but when I looked at how to do it. You have to upload a trail file from your phone for each different trail head you might go on.

Too bulky. I was hoping that the newer watch would have been smaller and better. No real difference from the last watch and very pricey for what you get.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro - Black BT The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is a large watch, but no larger than the watch it replaced, a Samsung Galaxy Watch SM-R800. I have is paired to a Galaxy S22 Ultra. There are 2 things I don’t like. 1, the watch band does not allow the watch to fit my wrist without standing off because it is curved out away from the watch. 2, I have a simple digital face that’s always on. When the watch goes to dim mode the color of the digital face changes from my selected color to a light grey color. This may be a power saving function, but I cannot find a solution to this yet. That’s really the end of the things I don’t like but can totally live with. Accessories for the watch are few and far between at this point. I had to modify a charging stand for a series 4 watch and use double stick tape to put the correct charger on it so I can just place the watch on a stand to charge. Both the charging stand and watch bands will get better in a few moths when other vendors get up to speed with this watch. The watch is amazing with the number of options it can give. Health options are near perfect except the blood oxygen sensor, that if off by at least 8% no matter where I put the watch on my wrist. My Oxy meter says my level is 98%, the best the watch will do it 90%. Other health functions work as expected. NFC with the watch is perfect, the only issues I’ve had with it has been caused by the cashier not completely understanding what they need to do. I get an “oops, wait a second, try again” while they do something on their register. I like the face/body of the watch because it protects the glass face with a raised metal bezel, just like my old watch. For the time being I have replaced the band with a cheap Milanese band that allows the watch to set flat on my wrist. I will be looking for a better brand of watch band in the near future, but like I said, few and far between. There are a lot of Pro 5 accessories that say they fit, only to find out they don’t really fit correctly, this will get better. Battery life has been good. I get at least 3 days on a single charge. I used to get a week off the other watches charge, but it had way fewer sensors. I’m completely happy with 3 days, my wife only gets 1 day from her watch, it’s the other top brand. If you don’t mind, or more to the point you want a large watch, you can’t go wrong with this one. They also have an LTE version, but I did not want or need that since I never leave the house without both the watch and my phone.

Highly recommended. I ordered mine directly from Samsung and received it 4 days ago. I ordered mine with the Sports band, so I can't speak to the magnetic band that it comes with. With the case being titanium, the watch is very light. Absolutely no issues at all. missing the rotating bezel really is not that big of a deal. It just takes a little getting used to. So far it is a great watch!!

I have used many different smartwatches over the years. I get very picky about style and functions and this watch ticks ALMOST all the boxes. My last two watches had a deep integration with Google Fit that is not here on this watch without some work. By default everything goes into Samsung Health and I'm not complaining about that. It is an excellent platform. I just wish Samsung Health and Google Fit would talk. This watch has all the functions I need and a few I didn't know I needed. I struggled to get Samsung Pay to work but that wasn't a deal breaker for me as I limit my contactless payments. The built-in watch faces are really good, but you can use WearOS watch faces as well. That is how I solved the issue of the two health platforms not talking. I found a watch face that could talk to Google Fit and then the watch still sent data to Samsung Health. Notifications work as you would expect them to with a few different options if you want sound, just vibration, light up the screen, etc. I loved the ability to use the watch as a speakerphone, didn't know I wanted that until I tried it. Finally, Battery life for me has been excellent. I played with it a lot the first few days and it still has lasted 4 days on a charge. That is the best I have ever had on a full smartwatch since my old Pebble Time watch.

Nest galacy watch so far. Finally lasts for 3 days before needing to be charged and the features are top notch. Pair it with a 45w charger and it goes from 30% to fully charged in 30 minutes.
