Posted .Your candid feedback is greatly appreciated, Melakeselam. We see that your review is in regard to the Galaxy Watch6. The Watch6 allows you to get up to 40-hour battery life. To ensure that your battery operates optimally, the first step is to update your watch to the latest software version. Begin by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Depending on your watch, you will either tap Watch settings or the SETTINGS tab. From there, tap About watch, and then select Update watch software. Alternatively, tap About Gear, and then choose Update Gear software. It's also important to ensure that all your apps are up to date, as outdated apps may excessively drain your battery. If your watch is paired with a Samsung phone, you can use Samsung Members to conduct a diagnostic on your watch battery. A passing test result indicates that your battery is in good condition. Your feedback is invaluable in our ongoing effort to deliver products that surpass our customers' expectations. Thank you for sharing your input, and please feel free to contact Support if this continues to be your experience. -Kelvin

A buggy mess, why? just why?
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no idea why android watches still cannot measure up to its competitors, Samsung pls put more work into making this watch less laggy and more stable in general. No joke like three months into owning this watch it just stopped syncing so I tried to factory reset but it refused to re pair with my phone. I had to use my friends phone just to re pair it to my phone tf? Why do they charge the same price as other high end smart watches but refuse to deliver on a stable, snappy and response OS?

Awesome Smartwatch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung has made another solid product. Pairing with a Samsung phone couldn't be easier. This watch is better than the last. To start out with the screen is 20% bigger, the bezel is thinner and the processor is 18% faster. The design of the watch is perfect. It doesn't feel bulky. The watch band is very smooth and feels nice. I was surprised to see how the band attaches under the other strap instead of over. That was unique and I like it. This has got to be one of the easiest bands to swap out. The traditional old design is hard to do but on the new band you just press in on the button and it comes right off. Putting it back on is just as easy. The Watch6, not the classic, does not have the rotating bezel but you can still rotate through functions by running your finger on the outer edge. It responds very easy and accurately to this. Startup time is around one minute. Do not get discouraged with the battery life when you first get it. It has a learning curve the first few days. Once it completes your battery will last longer. I've made a few calls on it and the other party says I sound clear and they do too. The screen is very bright when on the highest setting. It even has NFC. Apps launch fast with the new processor. A cool feature is using your watch to take pictures with your phone. So you can setup your phone on a table, walk away from it and use your watch to make it take a picture. One of the best features of the watch is in the health apps. There is a lot to do here that I haven't been able to fully explore yet but look forward to try and be healthier. I would recommend anyone to get this watch.

Good traditional looking smartwatch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Lightweight -Button to easily remove band -Metal gives it an everyday watch appearance rather than sporty like many smartwatches -Good size screen, easy to view Cons: -Battery life is short; only lasts a day and a half -The metal is referred to as gold, but looks more like brushed nickel This is my 2nd Samsung Galaxy watch. I personally like the fact that it has a more traditional watch look as opposed to the sporty fitness tracker look (though this has pretty much all the same functionality). It will track your different activities as well as basic things like step counts, etc. There's also sleep tracking. However you can't really utilize that every night due to the battery life, or lack thereof. Typically with a larger size watch you'll get a little better battery life. However I've had a 46mm Samsung and the battery life was about the same. I can get about a day and a half to two days with just normal watch usage. That means not necessarily tracking with GPS or making phone calls. Just standard step counts, phone notifications, and sleep tracking. One other thing to note is that the description says "Gold". However, the buttons maybe have a slight goldish tint to them but the other metal parts are really more silver than gold. It doesn't appear gold much at all to my eyes. One thing I really do like about it is the ease of changing bands. There is a metal button on the underside of the band near where it connects to the watch case. You press it and the band releases. So really easy to quickly change out bands. And if you're wondering if it's a liability for accidentally presses and your watch falling off, I don't see that really being an issue. The way it's positioned and the amount of force it takes to press makes it seem unlikely to be accidentally pressed. Since moving to Google's WearOS software, (which has been a couple years now) the watches are much more compatible with Android phones as well as having access to the Google app store where you can find a good amount of useful apps that can be added to the watch, thus increasing the functionality. Overall, if you aren't concerned with days worth of battery life and want a solid smartwatch with a traditional look, I would recommend this watch.

Good hardware with a few caveats
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is a quality offering with a large, bright, customizable face and a comprehensive suite of applications. However, like many of today's tech items, the supporting app is difficult to load and configure. It required multiple attempts to download and install the software and after I finally did get it installed a number of functions did not work. It was only after extensive tweaking of permissions and settings on the phone that I was able to get the Samsung phone and the Samsung watch to fully sync and work together. Although the band offers sufficient options to fit different sized wrists, the vinyl material is uncomfortable and feels clammy. I will be investigating alternatives in the hopes that it can be made more pleasant to wear. Battery life seems insufficient. Currently the watch must be charged nightly in order to make it through a full work day. Charging speed is good and the provided proprietary base allows wireless charging however the adapter has a male USB-C end and is pretty short. There is no charging brick included (not that unusual in this day) but you will need to make sure you have a charger with the appropriate connector. The features are quite good. The watch offers almost everything we were looking for BUT the short battery life means that trying to collect a full-days stats is challenging and the band is so uncomfortable that there are days it stays on the shelf. In summary - the watch is less than perfect but has promising potential. I am hoping that future firmware updates will help me learn to love this device!

Great, highly functional smart watch!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family (with two older teenage boys) has enjoyed using smart watches over the past 6+ years, with the quick glances for text and email notifications without taking our phone out, along with all the other capabilities that keep getting added. We've used a few different brands during that time (which one brand we really liked and had a few of most of that time), but over the past year, our oldest son and I had moved over to the Samsung Galaxy Watch (5 Pro for both of us) and we really have enjoyed the upgraded functionality and design (especially when I finally moved over to a Samsung phone and gained even more functionality). My wife's most recent watch has been very nice, with a nice "fancy" design to it (that she has gotten may compliments on) with a metal band, but this year, we'd both finally joined a gym and that watch isn't exactly the best to wear. So, we wanted to get her a watch that was geared more towards being sporty and health monitoring that she wouldn't mind wearing to the gym or going on walks, and with us liking our Samsung watches, decided to get the new Samsung Galaxy Watch6 (40mm for her). So far, she hasn't been disappointed!! Comparing to her other watch, the body size is pretty much identical with the same thickness and width. But, the Galaxy Watch6 has a smaller bezel, which allows for a decently bigger visible screen, and overall is much lighter. And the screen, wow, it looks great! Even compared to my 5 Pro from last year, it looks even better (even if it is smaller than mine). Unlike the Watch6 Classic, which has a rotating bezel for scrolling through lists, this Watch6 has the same functionality but just sliding a finger around the outside edge. My 5 Pro has a similar touch scrolling around the outside edge, but it has a raised bezel to handle that, while the Watch6 is completely flat. It does have two buttons, the Home Key and Back Key (top and bottom buttons respectively when worn on the left wrist). Both can have their function changed. The Home Key actually has two activations - Press and hold and Double press. The Press and hold can be set to open Bixby, Google Assistant, or the Power Off menu. Double press can be to go to the most recent app, as specific app, My Exercises (in Samsung Health) or Accessibility shortcuts. For the Back Button, it is a single-press that can go to the previous screen (same as a swipe from left) or Show recent apps. It also will silence the vibration (and assumingly the watch ringtone) on an incoming call (without "dismissing" the call). Getting connected to her Galaxy S23+ was nice and simple. The Wearables app was already installed (you will need this installed first if it isn't already, and more on this later), so I turned on watch and phone immediately noticed it and asked to connect. It then downloaded Galaxy Watch6 Manager, asked a few setup questions, then finished setup. With it being Google WearOS, it connected to Google account (for Google Play Store access). Then, it prompted on phone to install Samsung Health Monitor (which is needed for several items, and if wanting to use the ECG function, it requires to be connected to a Samsung phone). So, in a fairly short time, it was ready to go! We like the new quick-connector design for the bands, using a push-button to release instead of the small sliding peg. She really likes the softness of silicone band, but the excess storage is a little different, where it is tucked into a slot and goes between the band and the wrist. She doesn't seem to mind it, though. The built-in health monitoring has quite a few functions turned on by default, and one of them caught my wife a little off-guard. While at the gym riding a stationary bike, she got an alert that her heartrate was extremely elevated for being still (as it wasn't detecting movement with her hands resting on the handles). It is also set up to automatically detect a workout if it senses movement for almost 10 minutes and asks if you'd like to start tracking it. One thing she hasn't tried yet is the sleep monitoring as she isn't used to wearing a watch to bed. It seems to be able to detect the different sleep cycles. The Classic mentions it can detect snoring, but I'm not sure if this one does. Samsung does have a softer fabric band available for a little more comfort when wearing while sleeping. Battery life seems it could be decent, just not a full 2 days (mentions up to 40 hours). She is already used to charging a watch every night, so we haven't seen just how long it would last. It won't last as long as my 5 Pro (which has a much bigger battery, which is why I got that model), it still has enough to make it through (and slightly past) the day. She has the always-on display and is using a photo slideshow face (which those images look great on it) and one day we checked, it had about 60% left after wearing it for about 12 hours. The charger is magnetic to hold it in place, and it requires a USB-C port for charging (like normal nowadays, charging blocks are not included). While we have some USB-C charging blocks (from when they actually still did include them with phones), I've gotten some USB-C to USB-A adapters so we can still use those. Also, if away from the charger and needing a little extra before getting to the charger, it can be charged from a phone that has wireless power share capability. The one thing I have liked with the Galaxy Watch Manager in the Wearbles app is that every single setting you can set and manage on the watch is available in the settings in the app itself. This is quite useful, especially for rearranging the app order in the app list. And all the health information is synched to the Samsung Health app on the phone. If you are more used to working with Google Fit for activity tracking, it can be installed on the watch as well. As with most technology items, they seem to get better and better with each new version, and this is no exception. And while she had planned to still wear the "fancy" older watch (depending on the situation), the Galaxy Watch6 is starting to become the main watch she wears.
