The Bezel is Back and Better Than Ever!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung has always been a strong player in the smart watch world by delivering stylish watches with strong features and unique design. The Galaxy Watch 6 is a welcomed step back from the rotating bezel and continues to showcase how the Galaxy Watch is a great reason to go with Samsung. PROS: - Unboxing I am immediately impressed with how nice the watch is. It has a really nice strap that looks fancy but also built for activity. I really like the stainless steel look of it as well! - The screen is the big bold part of this watch! It is a great size, vibrant colors, and Samsung really makes sure to use as much of the screen as they can. - Along with that of course is the rotating bezel, that's right its back! It is very quick and responsive and just makes the watch feel a lot more functional giving you a way to navigate the watch without having to just use the touchscreen. - Outside of the style and screen, the watch has the smarts that really make it impactful. It does a fantastic job tracking your movement and workouts throughout the day and is an excellent sleep tracker with meaningful data showing how restful your night was. - Of course on top of that it does have fantastic heart health tracking and can even use their sensors to measure things like your body fat, skeletal muscle, BMI, and body water. Really cool to get all those statistics to better hone in on your health goals. - Along with those smarts it has other great features you would expect like calls, texting, music, bluetooth, and receive all notifications from your phone so you don't have to use your phone as much. CONS: - It's a little heavy, which you get use to, but especially for people that wear their watches 24/7 for sleep tracking it would be nice to make them lighter. BOTTOM LINE: - The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic brings back the rotating bezel along with one of the best screens I have ever seen on a smart watch! It is accurate and provides you with so much health details, and simply just looks fantastic on your wrist. Samsung's watches continue to hit in my book and the Watch 6 classic is a great purchase for those looking for a smart watch or to upgrade!

Great Smart watch!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy watch 6 Classic is a nice upgrade from my 5. It looks more stylish than the previous model, plus with the return of the rotating crown, makes this an obvious choice for those looking for a functional smart watch with many options. The rotating crown makes selecting apps or options much easier than the previous 5 model. It seemed as I was always double pressing to get my choices. Not so with the new 6. The leather band that comes with it is nice but not for me. I prefer the older style of my 5. I have already snagged the clasp on a corner and it ripped the clasp off completely. It did go back on without issue. Thankfully the watch bands use a somewhat industry standard size of 22mm and give you many options to choose from, unlike other brands that are proprietary. The 47mm size is not as intimidating as one would think, I have smaller wrists and I don’t think the watch looks ungodly huge. It is slightly bigger than my 5 (see pics). My 5 was 45mm and the new classic is 47. The 5 was titanium and the 6 stainless steel, both actually look the same size. Included in the 6 upgrades are: The Exynos chip gets a bump from 920 to 930, Sensor Afib added. The 6 loses the dual band GPS down to a single band, resolution up to 480 x 480, Storage is same at 16gb, the ram is up slightly from 1.5 to 2.0gb and finally, Cost was upgraded too. The battery in the 6 isn’t better than my 5. Out of the box with all default options I was lucky to get 1 full day before the battery needed recharged. I backed off on some of the options such as always on face and brightness. I shut off options I did not care about and now I can squeeze about 2.5 days out of it, if I’m not using it a lot or getting a ton of notifications. I much prefer the 5’s battery life of about 4 days. The classic is a great overall watch with more options than you can shake a stick at, most will go unused by me but it’s nice to know should I ever need it, It’s there. There is also some comfort knowing that the watch has my back on some health related issues should they pop up. Especially the Afib and excessive heart rate notifications. If you are looking for a smart watch with tons of battery life the 5 pro is for you. If you want a bigger watch with some upgrades. Then the 6 is a good choice. I would recommend this to family and friends.

Is bigger better?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must admit, when smartwatches were first introduced, I thought the same thing I did when tablets were introduced: Do I really need that? Does anyone really need this? The short answer is yes. Yes, we do. In fact, I don't know how I would survive without my smartwatch now. At least we have phones that are a decent size, depending on the model you choose, so tablets, to me, are not as important as my trusty smartwatch. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is a new and improved smartwatch that is bigger and bolder than its predecessors. It has a sleek and stylish design that commands attention, and it is packed with features that will keep you informed and connected without having to take your phone out of your pocket. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic also helps you reach your health goals by providing you with important information about your fitness and activity levels. With its long-lasting battery and comfortable fit, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is the perfect smartwatch for anyone who wants to stay connected and healthy on the go. The size of the watch is perfect for me. I wear glasses, so having a larger screen is really helpful. The watch is also very comfortable to wear, and it doesn't feel bulky on my wrist. I would definitely recommend this watch to people with larger wrists. However, people with smaller wrists may want to try it on in the store to make sure it fits comfortably. I have attached a photo of the watch on my wrist for reference. Since I am generally pretty active, I immediately replaced the included watch band with a more rugged and protective band. I feel much more comfortable wearing the device with this band, and it also gives me more peace of mind in case I knock the watch into a door or wall. My new band reminds me of my old G-Shock watches, which is awesome because I loved those as well. As a bonus, the band I selected still enables the use of the rotating bezel through a clever design, while still providing protection to the bezel and watch face. You can see this design in my attached photo. Since I was previously using a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, setting up and moving over to the new watch was a breeze. I simply restored my settings and apps from the cloud and was up and running in no time. The process was very simple and straightforward, and I was able to get everything set up exactly the way I wanted it in just a few minutes. I was very impressed with how easy it was to transfer my data and settings from my old watch to my new one. It made the whole process of upgrading very smooth and painless. Battery life is excellent and much better than my version 4. Being that it is also a much larger watch and that I keep my display set to “always on” mode, that is quite impressive. I have had it on since 8:00 am, it is now 7:00 pm and I am sitting at 70% battery. Very nice. The OS and apps are almost identical to my previous version, but this one is much faster and more responsive. When you combine that with the longer battery life and larger screen, there's no reason not to upgrade for the best performance. The apps and customizable watch faces are all designed and work very well in my experience. I prefer to use watch faces that show a lot of information at a glance, such as my step count and health options. However, if you prefer a more minimalist approach, there are also plenty of watch faces that only show the time and date. And if you're looking for something in between, there are plenty of watch faces to choose from in the app store. Here are some of the features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic: Sleek and stylish design Large and bright display Long lasting battery Variety of health and fitness tracking features Phone calls and text messaging Music playback Samsung Pay In conclusion, I couldn’t be more happy with my Galaxy watch. Smartwatches are an excellent way to stay connected quickly without having to hunt for a phone. Having emails, text messages, and the notifications you prefer available at the flick of your wrist is worth every penny. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is a great option if you are looking for a smartwatch that is both stylish and functional. It has a sleek design that looks great on my wrist, and it comes with a variety of features that make it a great choice for both everyday use and fitness tracking.

The watch I've been waiting for
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Samsung galaxy watch when they first came out. I bought and used I think the first 2 generations but realized short of couple of functions, the look and feel of the watch wasn't worth the cost, so I stopped using any smart watch. Then when I saw all these new features added to smart watches a few years back and that the look was getting better, I decided to purchase one from another brand because it had the largest screen available because my eyes where not as good as it once was. After a week, I returned that as well mainly because I could not see the screen without putting my glasses on. Now I don't remember the exact screen size, but it was definitely not as large as this Galaxy watch 6 47mm. So when I saw the advertisement for this watch, I was hopeful. Unboxing this watch I was very pleased at the size and looks of this watch. Samsung, you've come a long way. I love the size of the screen but it wasn't so large that it looked cartoonish. The watch itself felt solid and the silicone band had a sturdy good feel to it. During the setup, i noticed that the font was a little small but then I got to the part where I could adjust that and of course, I set it to the largest possible. Now I can see all my notifications with no problems. This was a real big deal for me because i work out at the gym almost every day and have missed many notifications because the phone was not on me. Speaking of working out, I had concerns about how my watch would look with me sweating and beating this watch up every day at the gym, but honestly, after weeks, it looks awesome. Looks just like the 1st time I put it on. There is a ton of apps for the watch. It is basically a mini phone on your wrist. I'm really in love with the rotating bezel. It is easy to use and precise. It gives a solid tactile feel when you turn it. The screen is crisp and clear and response time to any command is very good. I really like that the watch vibrates to notify me of anything. I'm not sure if this is standard on most smart watches because again, i haven't used a smart watch in years. Really glad I got this watch, it really helps me with my workouts and has made my life so much easier. This is the watch that should have been made since day 1

One of the best watches available for Android
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung recently came out with their newest generation of smart watches, and you now have two choices in two sizes of each – the Galaxy 6, and Galaxy 6 Classic. I received the Classic, which is now available in either a 43mm size or a larger 47mm sized round screen. Having large wrists, I have the 47mm size and it’s perfect for my wrists. The main difference between the two is that the Classic has a rotating bevel around the edge which makes it MUCH easier to scroll through the menus without having to touch the screen. This one feature to me, is the best for this watch. The screen is 1.5 inches of viewable AMOLED with 2000 nits of brightness (meaning it’s very bright, and even visible outdoors in sun when cranked up). It’s covered with Saphire Crystal Glass which is very durable. Spec wise it’s a bit of a bump from the last model with a dual 1.4 ghz processor, 2 gigs of RAM, and technically 16 gigs of storage, although one you factor in everything that’s on the watch out of the box, you have just over 7 gigs of “usable” storage. Two buttons on the side give you additional navigation options to power the watch on, return to a home screen, return to apps, etc. You charge this with a disc-shaped magnetic USBC charger which seems to have become the standard for all smart watches these days. The strap is a leather-like material, but be warned, if you have a LARGE wrist, like me, you may have to punch an extra hole in it for a comfortable fit. Those with normal-sized wrists won’t have an issue. The strap has buttons on the back you can press for a quick release to easily swap with similar bands, but third party bands so far, will still require you to fiddle with the pins in them to snap them on. The 6 Classic connects to your Android via the Samsung wearable’s app. While you can use this model on most Android phones with little to no issues, you really will only get the most benefit and features from it if you use a Samsung Galaxy phone. I have been using it with no issues on a mid-range Galaxy A54. Setup is ok but not seamless. The app found the watch instantly once prompted and connected the basics, but it takes a little fiddling to get the ECG and Blood oxygen features to work and connect that part to the watch, and you swap between the watch and phone’s app for it to get everything going. The watch OS is pretty straightforward, and between the two side buttons, swiping up/down/sideways, and the rotating bezel, navigating through the menus is pretty straight forward. The one issue is that when you are in the app menu, it shows you all of your apps as their icons, and there doesn’t seem to be a way easily in the OS menu to change this to a more easy to read “List” view on the apps – you pretty much need to memorize what each icon is. As with any other smart watch, once you’re up and running, you of course can do the basics like make/receive a phone call, text, and listen to music. If you pay a few extra dollars for the LTE version, you can make calls and texts without your phone. Wi-Fi models do need to have the phone nearby. I do find that the notification “ping”, where the watch vibrates your wrist, isn’t every strong even when set to it’s highest level – by default you could miss some notifications, but you can choose from a list of different types of vibrations, some of which are longer and will let you feel them more easily. Once you start digging into the menu you have a very large variety of fitness tracking options for just about any activity you can think of, plus GPS options, heartrate, ECG, Blood Oxygen, and more. Quite a lot of watch faces are included out of the box from practical, workout-themed, to cartoonish and crazy, and you can download tons more and even customize them to a degree. So you can make your watch look casual or formal depending on your mood. The ECG requires you to remain still and to have the watch in just the right position, and will let you know if it detects an irregular heartbeat (if so, talk to your doctor). The Blood Oxygen sensor seems pretty accurate – I tested it against a good fingertip type of monitor and it was only off by 1 digit. Likewise with the heartrate monitoring. There is also a fall detection feature that will allegedly call 911 or someone you put in as an emergency contact if it thinks you have fallen – I haven’t tested that yet, but shaking my wrist doesn’t seem to trigger it, anyway. The speaker is ok when using the 6 Classic for phone calls. It’s not SUPER loud, but in a decently normal environment, I can hear the caller, and the microphones are decent enough that callers tell me they can hear me ok, but can tell I’m not on an actual phone. I use voice dictation for texting and it seems pretty accurate provided you speak clearly. By default, the watch comes with Bixby as the assistant that activates when you press the upper button in and hold, but if you install the Google Assistant app on the watch, you can swap that over to Google’s version (better, in my opinion). NFC works, and once set up, you can use Samsung Pay at stores that allow it. Battery life is ok. Not bad, but not stellar. You should be able to make it through a whole day fine provided you don’t use the GPS heavily, or if you have the LTE version, don’t make a lot of calls on it. I would have liked to see a bit more battery power, regardless. Of note – the magnetic charger isn’t super strong and it’s popped off a couple of times unless I have the watch on a very solid, flat, surface. The processor is ok but I have seen a couple of sluggish moments – again, not bad, but a bump in processor power on the next version would be advised. Overall, this is an extremely well-built watch, and the rotating bezel steals the show. It covers all of the basics and many more for a good smart watch. While there’s a few quirks to get it all set up and that could be streamlined better, and the battery could be a bit better, I still like it a lot and would recommend it.

Meets my needs. Excellent Customer Service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure how much I like the watch yet, as it's my first smart watch, but the customer service from the seller was outstanding. Pluses on the watch for me were the ease of setup, broad range of choices for an analog display and power of vibration. I am, I guess you would say, an old school watch guy. I've always stuck with classic high-end time pieces. However I've reached a point where I rarley hear or feel my phone ring. Thus I decided to try out a smart watch. This has definitely given me the ability to know when I receive a call or text. Thank you. I did however experience a defect on the watch. A couple of weeks into owning it I was surprised one night to find it had a weird screen on it (later found it to be called the "boot loader" screen) while on the charger. It would not go away, even with reboots. It would not charge and continued to sit in a constant state of reboot while on the charger. I reached out to the seller and their customer service was awesome. Received a replacement that thus far is working perfectly.

The Rotating Bezel is Back
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic was coming out with the rotating bezel so wanted to see if the upgrade from my 5 pro was going to be worth it so I got the 47mm one. Unboxing and setup: The Watch 6 Classic came in the usual Samsung watch logoed box and inside along with the watch was a charging cable, information manual, and watch band “hybrid leather”, also grabbed one of their new fabric bands. I picked the silver one this time as my black had some wear marks through the black edges that did sort of stick out. Now the first thing we noticed is that the 6 Classic 47mm watch is a little bigger and heavier than the 5 Pro 45mm. I figured the weight difference is probably due to the use of Stainless Steel for the body this time around instead of Titanium. The Screen is larger, noticeably larger than the 5 Pro, much easier to read, and the bezel around it is much thinner than the 5, but overall, the watch is also noticeably larger. Setting up is simple, I just backed up my 5 to my Samsung account under settings and then went through the setup and had it restored from my account, everything was back and looked just like my 5 when finished. Use: I did notice that performance wise the 6 is faster than the 5, it seems smoother scrolling “by a tiny bit” and apps open a little faster. When I first started using it the battery life was horrible, barely a day of use out of it, but after a couple of OTA updates from Samsung the battery life is now up to about what the 5 pro was and it does last me a couple of days before I need to charge, “I usually charge daily anyway while showering and that’s enough to give it a full charge”. I did find that the watch has a tendency to turn on Wi-Fi all by itself and that does impact battery life. If it’s connected to your phone through Bluetooth there’s no reason to have it on so just make sure the auto connect is off in the settings. The larger screen is bright, much brighter than the 5 pro, and since it’s larger it’s easier to read for my older eyes, “I really appreciate the larger screen and clarity”. My only issue is with the hybrid band, at the frame of the watch it does not “bend” straight down and since I have medium/small wrists it looks funny as there’s a big gap under the band and lugs where it attaches. I solved this by using a Samsung fabric band “I really like these “just not the price””, they are super comfortable, a little bit elastic so they do stretch just a little and do not get as sweaty underneath when working out, plus you can pop them off “they have the new button attachment device” and hand wash them in the sink with ease. Conclusion: I really like the new 6 Classic, even though it is bigger and heavier than the 5 Pro after a few days of wearing I really couldn’t tell the difference “Can still tell it’s larger overall though”. The big thing is that the rotating bezel is back, “woohoo”, I had a Watch 4 Classic and I missed having that rotating bezel. This bezel is much thinner than that one, and looks so much better with the larger screen. If you are looking at upgrading or just looking for a smart watch then I would look at getting the new GW 6. Samsung has improved it enough to where “I” feel it’s worth it, and after the OTA updates the battery life lasts me a couple days easy.

Elegant and Feature-Packed: A Must-Have Smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic Stainless Steel Smartwatch (47mm, Black) and couldn’t be happier with my decision. This smartwatch is a perfect blend of style and functionality. First off, the classic design with the stainless steel body exudes elegance and durability. It looks sophisticated on my wrist and complements both casual and formal attire. The 47mm size is just right, offering a bold presence without feeling bulky. The display is vibrant and crisp, making it easy to read notifications and interact with apps. I appreciate the rotating bezel, which adds a tactile element to navigation and makes scrolling through menus intuitive and satisfying. Performance-wise, this smartwatch is top-notch. It tracks my workouts accurately, including steps, heart rate, and even my sleep patterns. The health features are comprehensive, and the ECG and blood pressure monitoring give me peace of mind. Battery life is impressive, lasting me almost two full days with regular use. Charging is quick, so I never have to worry about downtime. The integration with my Samsung Galaxy phone is seamless. Notifications, calls, and messages are promptly mirrored on the watch, ensuring I stay connected without constantly checking my phone. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a stylish, reliable, and feature-packed smartwatch. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a premium wearable.

Samsung Galaxy Watch – A Stylish and Practical Cho
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For anyone using Samsung devices, this smartwatch is an excellent choice. The premium design makes it appealing even to those who prefer traditional watches, and the lightweight leather strap that doesn’t cause sweating adds to its elegant look. The large screen makes it easy to use apps and read content. While the touchscreen works well, I especially liked the rotating bezel, which makes navigating and controlling functions very simple and intuitive. The health features such as sleep tracking and step counting are very useful, and all the data is easy to review on the phone through Samsung’s app. If I had to point out a downside, the overall size may feel a bit large and heavy for those with slimmer wrists.

A Great Looking Watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm is a great smart watch that handles as good as it looks. This is an upgrade for me, I was wearing the Galaxy Watch Classic 46mm that I boight back in 2019. I wore that thing basically all day everyday so when it came time to upgrade I wanted a new Galaxy watch that was just as stylish and functional. The new Classic 47mm is premium, the band is a cool light grey color made of a nice eco hybrid leather that feels real soft almost like its suede, it feels real good on your wrist. The actual watch itself is a sleek stainless steel with a slim bezel and has a large face, so you'll have no problem reading your messages, emails, apps, etc... It has way more health centered apps than my last watch and I'm loving that, from the Sleep Tracking, ECG, Stress Level, and Hydration. My only complaint with it is that it uses Google Play store for faces instead of Galaxy Store like my old watch, this means alot my favorite thematic watch faces aren't supported, like my Golden Eye face. Other than that its a solid smart watch choice that is stylish but is also very useful.

A Great Smartwatch But Not For Me.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first "smartwatch." So I was new to the "wearables trend." The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 has a very attractive look. Very appealing to the eye. With all of the capabilities of a watch in 2023. The first thing to know is setting up. You need a smartphone and you have to download an app. After all of that is done. You can get to using the watch. Working and operating the watch is very simple. You have the touch screen, two buttons, or turn the bezel. The touch screen has a nice smooth feel to it. Yet, trying to swipe on a screen that small feels awkward. You can customize this thing to death. One of the benefits of the Smart-Watch is being able to track your health, Footsteps, and all that good stuff. While I was out biking I was easily able to track all of this useful information. Being able to check the weather real quick is cool. But I kept asking myself the question "At what Coast?" I mean, I just want my watch to tell time. The extra benefits are cool and all but maybe I'm just old school. I see some purpose in wearable but I don't want everything connected to WIFI. Plus, I'm used to a watch staying on my wrist lasting years. With this smartwatch based upon usage, you will have to charge it every 48-72 hours. I'm torn with the wearable trend. There are some benefits but I keep asking "Can my phone do it?" If so I just don't see the point in my watch needing to. I understand that 2 is one concept. It's hard for me to get excited for a smartwatch when all the other "smart" devices are making us dumb. Other people may like it and "Right On!" The wearables thing just may not be for me.

Its elegant design and variety of customizable watch faces make it suitable for any occasion, whether you're hitting the gym or attending a formal event. One of its standout features is its impressive battery life, which can last for days on a single charge, depending on usage. The rotating bezel navigation is intuitive and adds a unique touch to the user experience, allowing for easy access to apps and notifications. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate its comprehensive health tracking capabilities, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and built-in GPS. It's also water-resistant, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities. However, some users may find the app ecosystem limited compared to other smartwatches on the market. Additionally, while the Tizen operating system is smooth and responsive, it may not offer as many third-party app options as other platforms. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Watch offers a compelling combination of style, functionality, and fitness tracking features, making it a solid choice for anyone in the market for a smartwatch.
