**Review of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7** I have been a loyal user of Samsung's smartwatches for a few years now, having owned both the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the Galaxy Watch 4. While I enjoyed many aspects of these watches, I have always found the battery life to be a weak point. The Galaxy Watch 4, in particular, needed to be charged at least once a day, which made it impossible to wear overnight without recharging. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Watch 7 has only exacerbated this issue. **Battery Life Issues** The battery life of the Galaxy Watch 7 is a significant disappointment. Even with moderate usage, the watch struggles to make it through an entire day, necessitating at least two charging sessions if the always-on display is active. This is particularly frustrating considering the advancements in technology that one would expect to see with each new generation. Instead, it seems that battery life has actually worsened with each iteration. **Impact of Switching to Wear OS** A notable factor in this decline in battery performance is Samsung's switch from Tizen OS to Wear OS. While Wear OS offers some advantages in terms of app availability and integration with other Android devices, it has clearly taken a toll on battery efficiency. This trade-off is quite disappointing, especially for users who rely on their smartwatch for extended periods throughout the day. **Design and Features** Despite these battery issues, the Galaxy Watch 7 does have its redeeming qualities. I appreciate its sleek design and the range of features it offers. The watch is stylish, comfortable to wear, and packed with functionalities that make it a great companion for daily use. However, these positives are overshadowed by the need for constant recharging. **Conclusion** In conclusion, while I like the design and features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, the battery life is simply unacceptable for a seventh-generation product. The 44mm version might offer a slight improvement, but it's not enough to justify the frequent need for charging. As a long-time Samsung smartwatch user, I am disappointed with the direction the company has taken with its latest model. I hope future versions will address these battery concerns and provide a more reliable experience for users.

There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. It's important to ensure that your watch is always up to date with the latest software version to help rid your device of bugs and help optimize your watch's performance. If your watch is paired with a Samsung phone you can use Samsung Members to perform a diagnostic on your watch battery. If it passes the test, you'll know the battery is in good condition. Great watch! Wish they had better bands. With this band I am getting irritation marks from moisture with my skin. The band could be better for the price. Battery dies quickly. I have to put it on the charger every 24hrs. I don't even have a lot going thru my watch mostly wear it for fitness tracking and to see messages or calls when phone is far.

My wife previously had a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which served her well and lasted over 4 years. However, due to age and wear, it finally was time to purchase a new watch for her. We had read the reviews on the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 which had just debuted, as well as the reviews of last year's Galaxy Watch 7 and we chose to go with the tried and true version of the 7. Our local Best Buy had that model with the cream color band which she loves! The purchase was easy, as it always is at Best Buy and the setup could not have been easier. Even though her old watch was not working anymore, the Samsung Galaxy Wear and Health apps that she had on both her old watch and her Galaxy S24 phone, had stored all of her previous information, so transferring that content to her new watch was seamless and quick. She likes the new technology, apps and features that are available on her new watch, which were not available on her older Galaxy Active 2! She also commented that the comfort of wearing her new watch with the band that it came with, makes her feel like shes not wearing anything. It's so comfortable! In short, an amazing upgrade for her and at a great price!

Wife loves it! She loves the look and very comfortable too! It linked up with her Samsung phone flawlessly and says it is so easy to use. She loves that it is more accurate counting her steps than her FitBit too. If you have a Samsung phone, it’s the best way to go for a smartwatch. Only with the battery lasted longer.

Very easy to operate. There are many health features, one of the best is the help it offers for keeping up with healthy sleeping. This feature has been very insightful for myself as a very busy mom and professional people leader having more to do than time in the day. Also, there is a very bright flashlight feature that turns the face of the watch in to a light. It is sleek in design. Love it!

I'm just giving my review of my Watch that I just bought a few days ago and here is what I think about it. I came to the conclusion of buying the Watch 7 for two reasons. The first is that it is one of the only watch brands that has support for LTE and that I would want to do simple things like reading messages or making payments on the watch itself in cases when I forgot to bring my phone or didn't really need to bring my phone and the Watch 7 does that really well. What I like about the Watch 7 is the simplicity of it and having the things that I need. I like how it automatically starts to track my calories burned and the steps I make when I start walking, the data is pretty darn accurate for a lot of things and it has simple achievements that is a pro like getting 10000 steps for example. Samsung Pay is a serious BOON to me but of course this only works if the retailers and merchants offer NFC credit card machines. Would have loved the option to use UPI app of sorts to fix this issue. Call quality is pretty decent so I don't have too many problems there either. What I don't like is that the watch lags a bit which is a serious bummer especially considering that this is Samsung and you would expect a smooth lag free use considering you're not going to use the watch a lot compared to the phone. Another bummer is the battery life. I get that you can't expect the watch to last as long as your phone but the watch barely lasts a day for even the simplest things that I do on it and I even turn off the mobile data when I don't use it. Not to mention that wireless charging support is not there in this whatsoever so you're stuck with using that proprietary charger that it comes with and honestly I think I regret buying this watch over the Ultra JUST for that reason. Because I otherwise would love to use the other features like sleep to track my sleep if it weren't for the terrible battery life. The other minor gripe I have is that certain apps have to make you use the Samsung phone inorder to get the most out of it which for setting up just for the LTE is stupid because I had to actually borrow my mom's S23 Ultra to set it up and Switch it back to my non-samsung phone. And this is a bit of a nitpick but the straps have this button at the back which is pretty hard to take off and put back in atleast for me. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem at hand. The only other bummers I have is that you don't get amazon pay support in the watch but I suppose that's more on Amazon's problem and not really Samsung's fault on that. But other than that, the watch is pretty solid overall as someone who is venturing into the Samsung watch series the first time. Hopefully the next watch or who knows maybe more updates on the Watch 7 can make me like the Samsung watches a bit more.

    UPGRADE FROM FITBIT

My Fitbit Charge 6 finally died so I went with Galaxy Watch 7 which I always wanted. It seems compared to my Fitbit, that the step count is a lot less with the Galaxy. The battery life could be better. I wear my watch 24/7 so I charge it when I take a shower in the morning and again when I take a shower at night, sometimes I have to keep it on the charger another 10 minutes or so to get to 100%. Other than that, I am enjoying my watch. I really only use the workout part for the treadmill, eliptical at the gym. it was kinda pricey for me, but glad I pulled the trigger. Also, I have a small wrist, so it is a rather large face, but that seems to be "in" now...lol

I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 from the Galaxy Watch Active2, and the difference is immediately noticeable. Everything feels faster, smoother, and more responsive. Apps open quickly, scrolling is seamless, and the overall experience feels much more modern compared to the Active2. The display is brighter and clearer, which makes a big difference when checking notifications, workouts, or the time throughout the day. Health and fitness tracking also feel more accurate and detailed, especially for workouts and sleep. I really appreciate the expanded health features and how well everything integrates with my Samsung phone. Battery life has been solid for daily use, and charging is quick and easy. The 40mm size is perfect, and the cream color looks clean, sleek, and comfortable enough to wear all day — whether I’m working out or dressing it up a bit. Overall, this was a great upgrade from the Active2. It feels like a big step forward in performance, features, and design, and I’m very happy with the purchase

I love this smartwatch that I have had now for about six weeks. I have a small wrist, fair, thin skin and the watch band is comfortable and fits perfectly. It counts steps, activity time, and calories expended. The watch has helped motivate me to exercise much more, I now walk over more than the recommended 7,000 steps daily, The watch charges very quickly. It notifies me if an irregular heartbeat occurs. I then can take my EKG by a touch of a button. I must wear it to bed because of experiencing occasional atrial fibrillation which only happens at night. The watch charges while I am showering etc. Texts and phone calls are an added plus. The watch can do so much more that I have so far not utilized. I recommend this smartwatch.
