I was a Fitbit user for many years and when my watch died on me I decided to try a different brand. Fitbit was not good at tracking distances on runs/walks and I was looking for a watch that had a more accurate GPS tracker. I did my research and saw the Samsung Galaxy 7 was accurate at GPS tracking among other health and fitness tracking features. I wore the Galaxy watch for a week before deciding it was not the watch for me. The look and fit are great, and it did track my walk/run distances accurately. It also tracked my heart rate during workouts accurately (something my Fitbit watch didn't always do, especially when my arms were down and not at a 90 degree angle). However, the battery life is terrible and it dies within about a day and a half. I did not use the text/call features and I wasn't constantly looking at my watch. Charging my watch every night is not something I am willing to put up with and it unreasonable. I was also surprised to see that my total calories burned in a day were significantly lower than what the Fitbit reported. I understand these are all calculated by algorithms and are not 100% accurate. I was noticing that on average if I burned 2,400 total calories with Fitbit, the Samsung watch reported 1,700 total calories burned. That's a big discrepancy! The calories burned during workout sessions appeared accurate, but the calories burned through daily living activities was way off. That was another big reason for wanting to try another smartwatch brand.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas! I have one and love it so I knew she would love one as well. She likes that while she's busy gaming, drawing, cooking, whatever, she can see who is calling and even answer the call from her watch if needed. It was definitely a big hit.

easy app to set up and keep track of activities. the dedign and functions are simplified for a child to use and understand. phone works thru Bluetooth no need to add a seprrate line.

Had this watch for a while, I have to say it's an accurate watch according to a polar strap is very similar to what it is in accuracy I know people complain about the battery life but after the update that Samsung came out with fix most of that battery is good now not great but good most watches aren't very good at battery life I highly recommend this watch

In the process of testing this watch I used my fitness tracker as a baseline. I have been using a fitness tracker for over tens years now. The setup was pretty straight forward, but it still takes some time. You have to charge the watch before setup. It was tough deciding which apps I wanted to use and which ones where not necessary. I also took some time figuring out which watch face I wanted. I was happy with the one I chose, but I think I might try out some others. I like the convenience of looking at all of my phone notifications on my wrist. The biggest issue I had was that I cannot wear this watch all day to track my steps and my workout and then wear it at night to track my sleep. The battery life prevents this. This forced me to make a decision to only wear this watch on days that I go to the gym and I'm still reconsidering that. Another issue I have is with the bands, they are ugly. I guess that is a way to get people to buy another band. If it came with a better color or even a basic black band, I might wear it more often. When I'm going out I take it off for one of my nicer looking traditional watches. I was never that much of a smart watch person, I always wore a traditional watch and a discreet fitness tracker on the other arm. This Galaxy watch isn't going to get me to abandon my fitness tracker.

Awesome product. Does everything i wanted for. I couldn't have asked for a better smartwatch. Would highly recommend this to friends and family.
