First ever smart watch purchase and I'm not a happy camper. It's been 2 months since purchasing and I'm seeing new things about the device daily but the major down side is the battery consumption; IT"S AWFUL. It doesn't last a full day without charging.

This watch is new so i am still learning the functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch8 requires a Samsung mobile phone to use the most important health monitoring functions. Generic Android phones will not work. Samsung Galaxy Tablets will not work. (It took an hour of conversation with their online support agent to get it to finally admit this. At one point it actually told me that I could set up the watch without a Samsung phone as long as I used a Galaxy phone instead.) So if you want to use these functions, you must own additional Samsung products. Moreover, the phone must have and active mobile/internet connection, according to the documentation. Finally, in their privcy statement Samsung claims the right to maintain substantial and personally identifiable data on their remote servers in indeterminate countries where US laws have no effect. It is not clear whether this includes personal health data. I did not see where such data was specifically excluded from that being captured nor did I see any promise that such data would not be captured in the future. The invasive privacy data collection/terms coupled with the proprietary and captive design of the device (vis-a-vis Apple) was unacceptible to me. I returned the watch. (Kudos to Best Buy for accepting the return without issue.)

This is a well made watch with tons of bells and whistles. Quite frankly, this thing blows Apple Watch outta the water! Pros: Battery life is fantastic Super easy set up Completely customizable Ease of use is a plus- gestures are very intuitive Stylish "squircle" design is closer to a traditional time piece Great speakers/sound quality, even with calls. Again, this watch outperforms the Apple Watch in this category Bright, vivid screen Cons: Takes a bit to charge- average time is about 1-2 hours depending on usage Screen is very reflective- although this is true, I haven't really found it to be a problem for me Watch band is high quality but doesn't let your wrist breath at all so my wrist gets pretty sweaty Having a separate service with all of its own settings (and it's a lot of settings) can be a con but personally, I love the customization/options available Step/exercise tracking does not seem to be super accurate so take that with a grain of salt. It's more of a general guideline to know approximately what your activity levels are

I had to return this item as it was not compatible with my Motorola razor. Some of the health tech only works if you pair it to a Samsung phone.

Battery life less than 8 hr in sleep mode. Noe cellular reception. No different than a 25 dollar knockoff

I bought it so when i fell my contact would be notified. I fell 2 days ago and had to go to the emergency room. My contact has not been notified as of yet. I want to return it. Do i go thru online or the store?

I think the redesign on this to look more like an apple watch is horrible. Be your own thing Samsung! I bought an open box-excellent and it came with a cracked screen and scratches worse than my current smartwatch. Whoever returned this, seriously? That's rude. Whoever allowed it to be returned, seriously? Was it your last day?

bought the watch because your employe at the lady lack store said it was compatible to Dexcom g7 blood sugar monitor. It is not so i spent my hard earned money on a watch that doesnt work

Price was great only if the item is working fine but it was not!!! The store agent is not that friendly too when I return the item and worst of all I did not get my reward points back too! Will recommend the brandnew item because it looks awesome

Will never work with iPhone. Initial setup will never happen.
