While i love the technical aspects of this watch; the band system is awful. If changing the look of your smart watch is important to you, stick with the 7. I am 67 and have vision issues. It takes me roughly 60 minutes under bright lights to change the band. I almost suspect that Samsung sought to discourage the availability of 3rd party watch bands. I have settled on a band that i feel will be appropriate for my style (such as it is). It pairs very well with my S25 Ultra. I will keep it in service.

On the Galaxy Watch8 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra, the release button is on the watch instead of the band. 1 - Flip the watch over, and press the button on the bottom of the watch to release the band and pull it out. 2 - Do this on both sides. 3 - Now, simply push the new band into place one each side. You do not have to press the release button to connect a new band.
