I bought this for a family member who uses Samsung Note. He originally wanted the Fitbit Surge. But when looking at the review and what the Gear could do, it made more sense to buy the Gear versus the Surge especially at the lower price point and with greater functionality. So if you're a Samsung loyalist and use their phone get this gadget. You can't check email or text with Fitbit and who doesn't go anywhere without their phone?

Like the fitness tracker. Don't think the heart monitor is very accurate. I have a small wrist so it is a bit bulkier than most fitness bands. Like the notifications when linked to my phone. Also like how it syncs to the fitness app on my phone.

wanted something to help me monitor my exercise as im trying to loose weight. gear fit tracks my steps when im walking and running and can also measure my heart rate. its lightweight and can even receive certain notifications from my phone (GS4).

I thought the gear fit was great. I really only wanted to keep track of my steps, and it did that so I'm not disappointed. All the other features on there are just an added bonus. I teach fitness and dance classes all day so it's a perfect watch that also lets you know when you receive a call, text, email etc..

My favorite feature are the notifications. It's great for walking and running but doesn't (or I haven't figured out) count bicycling at the gym. It seems to only count biking on GPS.

I love that it is connect to my Samsung phone. It tells me when I get phone calls, e-mails, text messages and fitness information. I would diffently recommend this fitness watch. I have had mine for 2 months and I have not had any problems. My daughter saw mine and she got one too. It is well worth the money.

Was actually in the store looking for a FitBit and made my way towards this instead. Does everything the FitBit does and allows me to check e-mails, texts, etc. It's perfect for the gym because I can see calls, texts and e-mails that come in without being "that guy" who is on his phone while working out.

I looked at a few of the smart watches and I found the Samsung Gear the best for what I wanted to do. I love tracking my steps. I use the timer for when I'm on break at my job. The cycle and running I have not tried yet, but watch out. I love this watch. I always notify me when I have reached my goal.

I love my fitness watch, especially the heart rate feature. I only wish that the sleep feature could be preset. If it can be, I have not figured it out yet.

Highly recommend. Loved it so much. My favorite feature is the notifications. I like that I can get my text messages without having to pull out my phone. I do hope they put more features on this in the future. But I love using it each day.

I have used this for over a year and bought one for my daughter and daughter-in-law for this Christmas. I love the ease of use, logging my steps, sleep, and receiving messages and notifications. As a busy professional, I don't always want my phone in hand , but this keeps me informed discretely.

It is attractive, works reasonably effective but does have some problems with pedometer (only counts steps if your arm is swinging). Interesting monitors for your sleep, heart rate. The battery lasts for a couple days. It is not too thick but still wished they made them thinner. It easily connects with your phone and can track your progress. It does receive text messages and notifies you when there is an incoming call. I would like to see emails on the device and would upgrade if that feature was added.

Very great for someone who doesn't like taking their phone out unless it's necessary. Also it is great for tracking steps even while my phone is charging. By far my favorite feature is it will vib rate during my alarms allowing me to utilize more silent alarms, allowing my while more time to sleep.

Using the "watch" for it's intended purpose rather than just trying to look cool is what's it is all about, works fine for the health apps but could use more battery life.

Really happy with the gear fit watch it does everything is supposed to + more. I get all of my updates emails and it keeps me on track with weight loss goals . i am very happy I purchased this product. I will definitely recommend.

It isn't too small where you have a tiny screen, but it isn't so large it takes up half of your forearm. It is great for the fitness tracking that syncs with my phone.

I bought this fitness watch on impulse, but it has turned into my regular wrist timepiece. Tracks steps, calories, and workout time, and counts my daily steps as well.

My team at work have started a work day fitness challenge. So they bought Fitbits and Garmin fitness trackers. I was impressed at first until the Gear Fit went on sale. I bought mine for almost the same price ($20 more) but the extra features make it so much more useful during my day. Text alerts without grabbing the phone plus programmable quick replies to text or phone calls. Stopwatch and timer. I downloaded a flashlight app and even it works well. It looks like a real watch not just a band so people comment about it all the time. Hand gesture to see the time or a easy button activation. People complain about the charger but it just snaps on. Wish there were more apps but I love it. Color display shows my steps and when i reach my fitness goals. I am not hardcore but this little thing works.

I bought this to keep track of my steps as well as my walks. Had a little bit of a challenge getting started, but once I did, I have been quite pleased with this product.
