The gear fit 2 is a huge improvement from the first one. Basic but strong function. Only downside is that it only works with samsung phones.

I needed a fitness tracker that was water resistant, synced with my phone, and that I could receive & respond to texts on. This fit the bill perfectly! I just wish the batter would last longer than 2-3 days.

I purchased my Gear Fit watch and then my daughter bought hers. We love our watches and I wear mine nearly every day. I do listen to others and I pay attention. One of my colleagues lost her watch within a month because of the lack of a safety clasp. For this reason, we refused to wear our new pieces of wearable technology until we were sure they wouldn't fall off. I researched and found safety clasps on Amazon. I bought enough to give a pack to my daughter and to have some for the future. Do buy the watch because you will love it, but buy a pack of safety clasps from Amazon for $5.49 to protect your $150 investment. There are 10 in the pack which equals out to about 55 cents each.

I like this fitness tracker and all the features. I only complained is the battery life however the short battery life may be due to all the features that this fitness tracker include.

Purchased for my wife. This watch is not as big as others, yet looks quite stylish, while at the same time having several features available. There is a small learning curve to get to know your way around, that doesn't seem intuitive at this point. I'm sure that will change as we learn to personalize it more. We were dissatisfied with the default watch faces available, and had to purchase one that would give us at one glance what we felt was basic information.

I love the simplistic nature of this device. Easy to use, functional, and the fact that I can literally see every notification that comes through on the face of the watch is amazing!

Overall, great product with some flaws

I am enjoying this product as my fitness tracker. It has great looking screen, and responsive touch screen. Also also well with my Galaxy S7 phone. Battery life is OK; about 3 days of normal use. I noticed few flaws; major one is the inaccuracy of fitness tracking. Sometimes, it jumps few hundreds while I am driving; must have a fix for this issue. Also it is not very comfortable on my wrist. Overall, it meets my expectation.

I bought this watch because my Microsoft Band died and wasn't even a year old. So far I love this watch. It is comfortable to wear and easy to put on. Much better than the Microsoft band which hurt my wrist. I love the display it is nice and bright. It lasts me 2 days on a charge. I could probably get 3 days didn't want to push it since I use it for work. I got the pink one and I love the color. I have to figure out though if it vibrates when I get a message. It goes along with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ really well. Syncs up nicely. I would definitely buy it again.

    The not so Smart Watch

    Posted .

I had purchased the original model for my wife and it worked well. The Gear Fit 2 however is just horrible. Since purchase last Christmas it has been broken several times. Everything from the band to the display not working or batter not charging. I tried taking it back to Best Buy at first but unless you need a 5 minute video card installed don't bother. It has been sent back to Samsung a few time for repair, and only goes a few months before there is another issue. They have replaced every part on the unit between all the repairs but have never bothered to just replace it. Stay away from this unless you are looking for a pricey wrist band.

Loved it until I lost it

I received this as a gift for Christmas but was hesitant to give up on my Fitbit. In the last three weeks, I grew to really love it... the display, the apps, the fitness features. The only thing I didn't love was the band. The band popped open today and what had become my favorite Christmas present was lost. I was surprised that they used this type of band since Fitbit had already been plagued with problems on the same design. I know it's generallly considered to be inexpensive, but that's relative to the individual. I guess I'm going back to Fitbit. On the bright side, I won't feel the need to go Samsung again, when I upgrade my S5.

    So, so

If you want accuracy, this is not for you. It will not record my steps on the treadmill. It does not keep accurate total exercise minutes. While it will record your minutes while you are moving, it does not store the time in the weekly averages consistently. For example, I was on the treadmill for 47 minutes. It recorded my time as 10 minutes at the end of my workout. Instead of recording the treadmill, it records it as cycling. It takes 5-10 minutes to begin tracking my workout. Sometimes I have to go days before the time and weather will update. If everything is working correctly, I would recommend it. I need a watch that I can depend on because I am in a special program to track my activity for weight loss. I need accuracy every single day. I am thinking that I need to take this watch back to the store.

This watch is great. Love how I can view my whole text and see calls. This was main reason for purchasing and because I have a small wrist and the watch looks great since it has the curve screen. Highly recommend especially for price.

    Wacky Calories

I read alot of reviews before purchasing. I noticed alot of people complained it didn't accurately count the stairs. I was between this and the fitbit alta and I decided to splurge. I got my watch on Monday. Fresh out of the box it said I had burned nearly 600 calories. By the end of day 1 (with extremely light activity) it said I was at 3400. Each day I have already had hundreds of calories before I even wake up. Today I contacted samsung, I was told the item is defective and to return it. I will update once I get a new one if the problem is fixed. Otherwise, I absolutely love the watch! I didn't have any problems and it looks great in person!
