Not water resistant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this 3-4 months before I decided to test out the water-resistance. It's supposed to be resistant up to 50 meters but it's not! I wore it in the pool (6ft at the deep end - no where close to 50 meters) and it started acting crazy. I sent it in for repair and they found it had "liquid damage". Apart from it not really being water resistant it doesn't count steps when pushing a shopping cart or stroller. You have to be swinging your hand for it to count. Also, it didn't always count walking up a flight of stairs accurately. Sometimes I would have to walk upstairs and then stand on the bed and raise my hand up for it to recognize I walked a flight of stairs! I did love the heart monitor and battery life - I kept my brightness on 3 though. Sleep tracking was great - always sends you a sleep report every morning and even after taking naps. Charging dock was great. Just a shame that it died so soon.

Exactly what I hoped for...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched this product a lot before buying. There seemed to be mixed reviews by some but let me give you my two cents! Buy it, it is perfect. I have an Iphone and was worried it wouldn't sync with the Samsung but it is easy and perfect. All of the features are exactly what I wanted, the UI is awesome. Samsung really did a great job on this product....wayyyyyy better than Fitbit for sure!

Overpriced Child's Toy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very disappointed with the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. It was a birthday present from my husband. He went with the Samsung brand because I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. Samsung does phones well; however, they should have left sports/activity watches to Fitbit and Garmin. My primary exercise activity is the elliptical. The Gear Fit2 Pro only gives me 35-55% of my steps on the elliptical. My old Fitbit didn’t have an issue counting my steps. I also climb stairs for exercise. The Gear Fit2 Pro only counts about 80% of my floors. The heart-rate monitor is suspect as well. I get in a good aerobic workout, but at age 55, I’m pretty sure my heart-rate isn’t going over 200 bpm like the Gear Fit2 Pro says it is. I called customer service, and sent my watch in for repair. They returned it without fixing the issues, because they couldn’t find any issues. It meets their quality standards. When I called them to ask about it, they brought up their disclaimer: The device is not 100% accurate. None of them are 100% accurate, but Fitbit and Garmin certainly come a lot closer to the mark than Samsung! This watch is like a child’s toy; it looks like the real thing, and functions similarly to a real sports/activity watch, but the data it provides is all imaginary.

Has been great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got mine a year ago when I asked my hubby for a water resistant watch to wear to work. I was a bit apprehensive when I first got it but have really grown to enjoy wearing it every day! My workouts are tracked, love the heartbeat option. When I’m busy I REALLY appreciate the quick glance texts that I can send back short replies that I have stored from my phone app. I also like seeing who is calling me without picking up my phone and can decline a call by sliding up!Enjoy all that this watch offers...including a timer... I also like how I can update my watch face and have fun with the cool free options for seasonal themes...just updated from my grinch...lol... I hope to get one for my son soon too.

So Far, Excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had this for 2 days, but I do have some impressions. On the Plus Side - It's comfortable and it integrates well with my Android Phone (Pixel 2XL). It's VERY easy to read and understand. It's easy to read emails and messages - actually rather handy. On the minus side - the Music player (so far) is only a remote control for the media player on my phone, it is NOT playing music from the Watch. I guess that I still have a few tricks to discover

Former fitbit fanatic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I can say is wow! I have been a die-hard Fitbit fan since 2014 and now that I have the Samsung Gear Fit Pro I feel like my time has been wasted with Fitbit. This unit is very user-friendly very intuitive it measures outputs that Fitbit does not. This unit is amazing. I don't like the fact that you have to download a couple of different apps on your phone to utilize some of the functions on the pro but that is the only downfall. The display is beautiful. Everything works as it should. I am sold. If you are looking for an intuitive, beautiful Fitness tracker with some of the bells and whistles of a smartwatch this unit is for you.

Horrible all the way around
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly do not like this watch. I decided to get it once my Fitbit started having issues after a yr. I have a Samsung phone that I love, why not try the watch...HUGE REGRET. The battery life is the absolute worst. I'm not super active therefore I don't need to do a lot with it, but I still have to charge it every single day. I only have the notifications set to notify me for 6 things (phone call, text message, etc.). Every day, the notifications are deselected on their own and replaced by the last app I opened or downloaded on my phone. The watch and the platform are both very boring and doesn't encourage activity. Initially I though I just needed to get used to it, but its been over a month and I'm hating it more each day. If I could I'd return it and get another Fitbit. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because of the many options you have for the watch's wallpaper.

What not to do in the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Run, walk, swim, bike, yard work, hike, workout, canoeing, bowling, yoga, hot yoga, backpacking participate in any sport or any physical activity. I purchased this smartwatch and I wore it while working out at the gym, and while working out like anyone I sweat. The watch failed in month 10 and would not charge. I sent to watch into Samsung to repair it because it was within the one year warranty. Samsung returned the watch to me within a week and stated that the motherboard was corrupted because it got wet. I thought that to be strange because it was advertised that the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro is waterproof, and I don’t swim just workout at the gym and yard work. So I went back and forth and was finally told that the watch was would not be replaced, and was not warrantable because it was my fault that I wore the watch and my sweat got into the watch and all Samsung watches aren’t waterproof. So I was out of money time and would have to buy a new watch. So to close do NOT buy this watch or any Samsung Fit watches if you are an active person. Please avoid what I went through and look into another brand. Samsung does not care.

Nice but not Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far love just about everything, stores music, weather and a few other apps. It's for fitness so step counter is great heart rate even workout mode. But I wish it would interface with Samsung fitness app to allow me to change to which fitness modes I wanted. That's my only complaint.

iPhone users beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I bought these 2 days ago. Upon opening them up and setting them up everything was great. Downloaded the Gear App, and things synced up.... then they didn't. Turning phone off and on, deleting and downloading app, turning Gear off and on, turning blue tooth off and on... eventually my wifes connected, but the Health app refused to update her data, and her battery was nearly dead in 12 hours. Mine never reconnected to the app nor my phone. We are returning these for the FitBit HR's. I assume Samsung and Apple can't play nice together.

ios users do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I should've purchased the Fit2 Pro from Best Buy and not from Macy's. At least I could've returned the not so smart watch. I previously owned a Gear S2 and know about the limited functions when connected to an iPhone. But this new product is worse than before. I can't even get any e-mail or text notifications on the Fit2. Contacted Samsung via online chat, useless. They told me to call their phone support, and once again useless. Samsung needs to remove the ios compatible from all of their documents. Now I'm stuck with this not so smart device. And I wasn't too smart either, since I purchased this from Macy's.

Lousy battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this so I could track my steps at a recent tournament. Charged it overnight to 100%. Put it on about 8:00 am and by 11:30 am I noticed it was dead as a doornail. Not exactly sure when the battery died, but would expect it to last more than 3 hours. Purchased this based on positive reviews and recommendations from friends, to replace my FitBit HR that fell apart (after a year of use). Have been impressed with many other Samsung electronics. What a disappointment the Gear Fit2 Pro turned out to be!!! At the tournament, talked to someone else who had problems with their battery life -- not as bad as this one -- so it sounds like it isn't just a one-time fluke. Can't comment about any of the features, etc since the battery life didn't last for me to explore the watch features.

not water resist... Poorcustomerservice - Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speedo setting (LOL), stops working after first exposure to a backyard pool. Sent back to Samsung, 8 calls later, wont fix it because of water damage to motherboard! I am being told its my fault (Trusting advertisement and specs). "escalated to the highest levels" (another LOL) promised calls backs on several occasions that never happened. Sad as this is now a matter of principle so bye bye samsung you have become too large to make things right.

Ok Fitness tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one is ok but not the best. The screen is very large and not well protected on the edges. Also have not found a good screen protector for this watch. Other then that the watch works good and is easy to set up.

Terrible battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the great features of the gear but I really can't use it. The battery life is so short that you have to recharge it daily. And it came with a charger that is awkward to carry around. I really do not recommend it. I had another band and its battery used to last for more than a week. This is totally useless. It's suppose to monitor your sleep but how if you let it charging every night?

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this watch and loved it for about 12 hours - battery went dead - won't stay connected to phone. Returned it and got a new one - the battery lasted almost 2 days (claiming 3-5 days) and still won't stay connected to phone - have to do a factory reset every 6-12 hours to get it to reconnect - do NOT waste your time on this product....

Don't buy it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do a quick Google search. My wife's quit working suddenly and it was deemed to be water damage. The product is advertised for swimming and water resistant to 50 meters. This one was never even submerged. Samsung won't stand behind the warranty. Make sure your product states "water proof".
