Great Fitness Tracker...Bad Strap and Lost it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Defective strap. This strap pops off easily. I was walking into work and it popped off and I did not realize it until I got into work. I immediately back tracked my steps and of course it was gone. Whoever found it, of course took it and turned it off so I can not track it. I looked for a solution on Samsung community and found this is a common problem with this tracker for over a year! However, they did nothing to repair the problem as this was purchased in November 2017. I called Samsung and of course, they did nothing but apologize even when I told them of the statements made in the past about the defectives strap and numerous others losing their Gear Fit2 for the same reason. They told me to call Best Buy because I purchased it there. Really Samsung!!! It's your defective strap and you didn't change it to make it better...this is not Best Buy's problem, it's yours! Don't buy this Fitness Tracker...mine was lost within weeks after I received it for Christmas 2017 and it wasn't cheap!

Great Tracker!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Gear works well with lots of fitness apps, and I love that it is easily synced with my phone and I am able to get alerts instantly. Much better and more functionality than the FitBits I have owned in the past.

Charging Issues/Not Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it for less than a year. Within the first couple of months the band broke. Neither Best Buy or Samsung had replacement bands. I had to get a new one from somewhere else. I've had a problems charging it since I got it. I never thought much of it because after a few tries it would charge. Recently, it's gotten worse. Sometimes after a lot if effort I can get it to charge (It sometimes takes literally a half hour or more). I bought a new charger because I thought that was the problem. It didn't work. I then noticed that one of the contacts on the back of the watch had something black on it, it could either be from the coating on the back of the watch or dirt and that was probably making it hard to get contact with the prongs on the charger. I don't think it's dirt because both contacts would have it on them. Anyway, I tried to clean it but can't. Today, I've been trying for about an hour to get it to charge, and so far I can't. Without the issues with the charging (which is a big issue) it would be okay. The sleep monitor and floor counter are way off. The step counter is okay when it's synced with your Samsung mobile phone. The only thing that I really like about it is that it has built in GPS. Perhaps Samsung should consider making it's next fitness tracker like it's smart watch (The charger doesn't have prongs and the sensor on the back of the watch is covered). I just ordered another brand of fitness tracker. Hopefully, I'll be receiving it within a few days. Until then, I'm gonna struggle trying to get this one to charge.

Fit 2 Pro is not swim ready
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased my Fit 2 Pro because I wanted something to use for swimming. I paid extra over the cost of a Fit 2 because It was supposed to be designed for swimming. 6 mo. after using the the watch it stopped tracking any movement. Was told to send it to service dept. for warranty repair. Was sent back "Not repairable due to liquid damage, not covered under warranty". When I contacted Samsung, they said even though there was no other damage, any liquid damage is not covered under warranty regardless of the cause. Do not spend the extra money for this watch, it is not supposed to get wet.

not water resistant
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Advertised as being able to swim and track laps with it. Had it less than a year. Spent some time in the pool with kids. Watch shut down on its own. Let it dry out just in case, tried to turn back on(dead and wouldn't charge). Sent to Samsung. Samsung returned as not repairable due to water damage. On a watch your supposed to be able to swim and track laps with? 50meter resistance? a few feet of water and it failed and they refuse to repair or replace while in warranty time frame. DO NOT BUY.

Should be good but too many problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this device but it has too many issues to keep or use. 1. display is great indoors but is not ready for use in sunlight. 2. moving speed as displayed in the exercise/health app or in map my run is all over the place and not useful at all. 3. the elevation graph shown in the health app or map my run frequently appears to stop changing relative to the actual elevation change. 4. the distance travelled (in miles) as registered by the exercise app or map my run app seems to be accurate, but shows to be lower on any watch face that displays distance travelled. one example: i walked 6.35 miles as displayed be the health app, but the watch faces only displayed 5.7 or 5.8. if the distance travelled cannot be trusted, then the device is useless to me.

Comfortable and easy to charge. That’s about it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to get the Samsung Gear 2 watch after my Fitbit Charge 2 basically fell apart on my wrist and the company offered no replacement bands. The Samsung is stylish and has more features than the Fitbit, but the Fitbit was better. The two massive downsides are: 1. It does not track Steps very accurately; and 2. Every third or fourth time I put it in the charger, it totally turns off and I have to restart it, which reboots it in losing all my current data.

No Battery Life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The features on this product are amazing. But they did not sync to under armor‘s fitness programs or applications. Samsung still have some work to do with under armor. I found the battery life to be lacking. Did everything that was required and still the battery life lasts only one day. Sometimes if you work out only six hours. Do yourself a favor go with Garmin VioActiveHr. Best Buy did a great job matching prices with another competitor. I bought three Garmin right away.

Not good with iPhone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this watch after one week because it was not intuitive, barely compatible with iPhone, and lost charge quickly. I wanted this watch for tracking my runs but it was so lame, the Samsung apps barely worked with my iPhone, and it was always a pain flipping through the watch pages looking for "start run". Just not a great choice for me. I bought a Fitbit Ionic instead, and I love that.

Very Disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this 3 months ago, worked fine for maybe 2 months. Now the watch face time freezes and it won't record activity (including walking or biking). Neither Best Buy or Samsung will stand behind the sale, each telling me to claim again the other. Simple $69 bands perform better than the Samsung. Do not buy!

Samsung warranty is a joke...claim water damage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My watch was bought in February, 2018 and about July started rebooting every 5 minutes or so. I sent it in to Samsung who said there was water damage. I argued this finding so they transferred me to the repair team. I asked them how a device that is water resistant to 150 meters can have water damage. I told him it was in water but nothing deeper than a few feet because I can't swim. His answer was that they don't know what I did to it, maybe I left it laying in water. Samsung is using water damage to get out of doing warranty work. Just google gear fit2 pro water damage and look at all of the complaints of people not even getting theirs wet and having "water damage".

Do not wast your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst product that I have ever purchased. Had it for almost a year and has never worked over 3-4 months at a time. Sent back for repair twice. Noe it will not turn on. Starts up Gear fit 2 on the display for about 10 seconds then shuts off. It is charged and I have two chargers so I know it is charged. If I call their help desk, they want to make me out to be the reason it won't work. It is never their fault. I am through trying to get help. If they would give me the mailing address for their CEO, I would send it to him, no charge. I would love to see him wear this quality product on his arm. My wife has had a fitbit for 3 years and never had a problem with it. How stupid I was for buying a Samsung.

Please do not purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please do not purchase this product. After 3 months it started getting very difficult to charge. Literally i would spend 5-10 mins a day trying to get it to connect to the charger. 6 months later it will not charge at all. Best buy cannot handle Samsung warranty so now i have to take to send it back to Samsung. I spend 30 mins on the phone with their tech just trying to get a return ticket and they tell me it will take 2 weeks to get back after i spend 30 mins going to best buy to try and fix it. Such a waste of time i don't have. Also it really does not connect to iphone apps well at all.

Piece of Crap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the thing back in May of 2018, this month the plastic piece where the band attaches to the watch broke. I went to Best Buy, they told me to call Samsung, I chatted with Samsung, and after 3 calls they tell me that they need me to send it to them to see if I will get any credit on the one year warrentee. I have spent 3 hours with this piece of crap, I think they just try to wear you down until you give up. Guess what? I have given up, and I am throwing it in the trash and purchasing something else. PIECE O CRAP, and I have a Samsung Phone, and a Samsung Tablet, no more watches.

No good (for swimming and as a watch)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried to use it as a replacement for a tri watch, and it's not capable. The whole point of this device is being "swimmable." Samsung version of health tracking just has pool swimming option (forget open water), with 3 (THREE!) pool lengths to choose from. Pre-installed MapMyRun doesn't have swimming option at all! It's also not capable to operate on it's own, just to power it on the first time it requested a connection to a smart phone and waited for about 20 minutes(!) just to start up. I guess it was downloading new firmware via bluetooth.

Step accuracy is TERRIBLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved everything else about it but the one thing i wanted it do well failed miserably. I had over 100 steps in the shower, steps were counted while sleeping or just sitting on the couch. This is supposed to be a pedometer first and a smart watch second and they couldnt get the step accuracy even remotely close. I took it back soley for this reason. Battery life was what i expected, about 3 days running on all functions. Ease of use, look and feel are great. Im sad i had to return it but im not spending 150 bucks on a joke of a pedometer.
