Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Gear S3 Classic Smartwatch's long battery life, stylish design, and compatibility with Samsung phones. They find it easy to use and appreciate features like Samsung Pay, fitness tracking, and the ability to make and receive phone calls. Some customers, however, feel that the watch is bulky and has a limited selection of apps. There were also a few complaints about the size of the band and connectivity issues.

I returned this product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this product because the tracking did not correspond to the tracking on my Samsung phone. It may have been because it was worn on my non-dominant hand. It tracked less than half the steps logged on my phone which I wear on my hip.

Samsung Proprietary Software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking into smart watches for a while and thought that this one might be a good choice seeing as I have a Samsung Galaxy S7. It has great reviews online and it looks great. The turning bezel is nice to work with as well. The big issues are with the proprietary software that samsung puts on the device: They have so much security that it removes the viable usability of some features. S-Voice on this one and Bixby on any newer samsung device comes nowhere near the abilities that Google assistant and Alexa bring to the table. It doesnt even work half of the time. I am returning this watch, and even switching phones, to have a more open android experience.

Not the one for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I didnt like this particular product, it says nothing about the watch and it features. This style was simply to stuffy for me and my active life style. With that I did purchase the Gear Frontier and I absolutely love it.

Very great and simple smart watch! Except...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this watch a lot, but disconnects from your cellphone quite a bit. You'll have to factory reset it each time to reconnect... It's a but annoying, because you'll have to re-download and reformat everything.

Good, but poor sleep tracking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has tons of features but the sleep tracking is not detailed enough compared to say Fitbit, also for some reason it does not track the first part of my sleep after I wake up in the night.

Battery could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a FitBit watch for years. LOVED it until it had a bug that caused the battery to not stay charged. So, I decided to try out the Gear S3. BIG mistake. I have turned off all the cool features so that it will stay charged for a day. I charge it every morning while getting ready and it never hits a 100% charge. It hovers around 97-99%. Battery is at 50% by mid day. I won't be able to take it on any trips where I don't have access to a charger every day. Big time bummer that I can't take advantage of all the cool stuff the Gear S3 is supposed to do.

Good not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does it's job, wish it had google voice and it needs more apps. I am more impressed with the Apple Watch. Battery life is much less than expected. Performance is clean and interface easy to use.

A great product for the right market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung has done a nice job putting together a smart watch which is both functional and fashionable. It's large for a women's watch, but a good size for most men. The polished design and classic leather strap make it look more like a watch than a gadget. The fashion does not detract from the function at all. Samsung understands that Time is the main reason people wear a watch. Even when notifications are waiting, the Time is still the first thing displayed. Vibration alerts are wonderful for cubical dwellers who don't want their ring tones broadcast all over. Equally appropriate for city streets when you can't hear your phone beep, ding, or sing. You can easily set alarms and timers by voice or using the bezel as a selector. The alarm is a nice way to wake silently without waking your partner in the morning. The phone app can configure which notifications appear on your wrist. You can exclude e-mail and score alerts, for example, if you don't want to be constantly checking your wrist. My chair loves the movement reminders if I've been stationary too long. It's really increased my step count and given me a fighting chance against my high schooler who has long walks between classes. It works much better than a fit bit for reminding you about all aspects of health, not just walking. You can track your water & caffeine consumption. It will measure your heart rate throughout the day. It will also track how many flights of stairs you climb (helpful for older knees). If you exercise, it will attempt to track what activity you're engaged in (running, biking, walking, etc). It's not always accurate, but you can easily select an activity manually. This allows you to record your workouts more easily. The best feature I've saved for last: Samsung Pay. If you have an S7 phone, you may have used the magnetic contactless payment. This opens it up for the rest of us. A quick button press, and your cards are available for use. No digging in your pocket or purse for your phone at the grocery check out. It's generally faster than a chip card payment and just as secure. Returns are processed the same way. Battery life is great. A one hour daily charge while I'm getting dressed gets it through the rest of the day. My only complaint is the price. A great watch can be had for under $200. This is considerably more. It's in line with other smart watches, but it's a tough nut to crack if you already have a watch that works.

Nice watch... Not good for golf
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the style, overall functionality, and battery life. However, it doesn't work with my golf GPS app, which is my primary reason for owning a smartwatch. Returning today and ordering a Huewai.

Android needs love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the watch to be very Samsung Health friendly but not so much Google friendly which left me unable to sync with devices like Bowflex etc, so in the end I returned it to do more research.

Great quality, locked down OS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like Google Assistant? Like Google Maps? Like Google Anything? Then this watch ISN'T for you. You're forced to use only Samsung store apps. I'm sure there are ways around it, but I was expecting to "upgrade" from my 5+ year old Gear Live watch, but when commands like "OK Google" or "navigate to...." are removed, it's an automatic return. Build quality is excellent, however. Do your research before purchasing.

Ok watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok watch. I don't like how you have to pair it with a data capable device (cell phone) in order to sync its data and update apps and skins.

Over Promised Under Performed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally was working for a smart watch that was dressier looking than my Garmin vivosmart hr. I was told that this product would work with IOS but all of the features that supposedly separate it from the other watches in this price point do not work with IOS. Also the watch does not stay connected to IPhone and I have had problems with basic functions updating.
