Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Gear S3 Classic Smartwatch's long battery life, stylish design, and compatibility with Samsung phones. They find it easy to use and appreciate features like Samsung Pay, fitness tracking, and the ability to make and receive phone calls. Some customers, however, feel that the watch is bulky and has a limited selection of apps. There were also a few complaints about the size of the band and connectivity issues.

After reading reviews, I was willing to spend the extra $100 to get this instead of the Zenwatch 3. When I got it hooked up to my phone, I realized that messaging features (I.e., one of the main reasons I use a smart watch) don't work with my phone. I returned it, and ordered the Zenwatch 3. Honestly, even though this watch looks very nice (the reason for the second star), it felt like a downgrade from my Zenwatch 1, as the Samsung appstore is quite limited, and this watch does not run Android Wear.

I was very excited to buy this watch. First impressions were great. Set uo was easy and the watch just looks great. However the fuctionality is poor. S voice never works, which is the most needed item for a smart watch is voice commands. I cant even reply to a text using voice it always fails. You can NOT set any calendar events. Reminders is usesless as you can not set them past the current day. When i can get s voice to work it will not locate any of my contacts. They also advertise gps . There is no gps or navigation. There are some 3rd party apps that are horrible and require your phone and internet connection. That is NOT gps. Gps systems do NOT require internet to work. Take a look at any garmin. There is also no pandora apps or music apps. You can load a few songs but thats it which renders usesless for music playing capabilities. Overall this watch is just nice to look at and change watch faces and thats it functiinality is sh**. Buy apple watch instead it works way better and is actaully supported. Also dont buy this watch or anything for that matter at bestbuy as they track all your purchases and refused my return of this watch even though i had my receipt and was within return dates. Horrible customer service they dont care.

    Battery sucks

This smart watch has possibly the worst battery i've seen in an electronic. I've had it 2 days and it's going back tomorrow because it has reset itself deleting my apps several times. Erased my steps. Drained all battery life in less than 6 hours. I honestly loved the features but I will be returning the watch due to the fact that it's pretty much worthless to me and I can but a better quality watch for much less. I got the watch because my fitbit died after a year. My fitbits battery last 4 days on most days. Hopefully best buy will refund me since i'm within the 14 period. I would definitely recommend getting a warranty for the watch if you decide to buy.

This Samsung Gear S3 has been the biggest disappointment I've ever had from the brand. Forget about getting messages and even when you do, good luck trying to reply. Plus the voice-to-text function is the worst I've ever seen, I can't believe this even got included in the product, it has to be total silence to pick anything up, it still doesn't pick up well and it misinterprets most of what you say. You might get the typing function to work, if you like texting like it's 1999 and you're using. Nokia brick phone. Tale a hard pass on the Gear (S2 or S3) unless you just want an extremely expensive watch that's customizable...as a watch....and not much else.

The hardware is great. The watch looks super nice and professional. The issue is the software. This software is garbage and doesn't even include the basic google assistant or Bixby. Don't waste your money.
