Works well with my GS8, little slow sometimes but the ability to create or stylize watch faces is great option.

I've owned almost every Gear watch and this one is by far the best. It takes the best parts of all of the predecessors, and puts them in one package. Samsung Pay is phenomenal, in fact, Samsung Pay alone is what sold me on this watch. It is there when I need it, and doesn't get in the way when I don't. I love it.

Purchased this watch as a multi-function device. I use it for messages, reminders, the obvious - a wrist watch and health step monitor. It has enough memory to do most any Samsung Apps. Disadvantage, functionality from the watch is based on what phone it is paired with. It does not work with older blue-tooth phone such as S-5. Check the compatibility chart before your purchase. It is a high end device that is typically used with newer high end phones. The watch speaker is not very loud if you are planning to use in conjunction with a phone call. The vibration alerts work great. I get about 12 to 14 hours out of the battery on light usage and about 6 - 8 moderate usage and text. I strongly advise getting the additional warranty from Best Buy along with the watch face / screen protector. No, I haven't taken it swimming nor do I plan to.

I really am so happy with this purchase. The watch looks great with anything, gives me notifications from my phone, certain apps like maps and uber, and I especially love Samsung Pay from my wrist! I was disappointed with the accuracy of the heart rate monitoring and fitness tracking but love the sleep tracker.

I bought a Samsung Gear Fit2 last year which I was really happy with until the strap broke. Best Buy gave me store credit since I purchased their protection plan, and I opted for the Gear S3 Frontier instead. I was hesitant because of the size but functionality has mitigated that concern. I love the watch and interface. Tizen is pretty impressive and the hardware is great. I love the rotating bezel control and display quality. It integrates well with my Android phone. I get my notifications, fitness alerts. A surprisingly loud and good speaker allows me to make hands free calls from the watch. I also make payments from the watch with non-NFC terminals (MST) which are found in a lot of places, so that's another awesome feature. The strap is very comfortable so I can sleep wearing my watch. Very happy with my purchase.

Best balance between looks, functionality, size, and battery life. Bright screen even in sunlight. Auto brightness works great. Some of the notifications can be pretty basic, requiring you to have to look at your watch then back to your phone a lot. Samsung Pay has been great on my phone but just recently allowed me to add cards to the watch, hopefully it works as flawlessly. Some great apps, and far greater not so great apps. Battery life is great getting over 2 days with moderate use and 'always on' off. Watch faces are the one thing that there are plenty to choose from, free and paid. Overall extremely satisfied with the Gear S3 smart watch, highly recommend.

Bought this watch during a promotion, and I'm so happy I did. This watch is gorgeous. The black metal and watch dial make the watch look elegant, even with the rubber band. The battery last me easily 4 days before I want to recharge it. And the display is amazing. Extremely happy with this purchase.

This smart watch is my first and it is great. Bought the watch right before I got the new note 8. The watch has great features and goes great with the note 8 being able to track my fitness and answer text and phone calls from the watch and not worry about my phone being attached to my hip is great.

Long battery life with all the bells and whistles. I came from the Moto360 1st gen. to the Gear S3, and wow what a jump. This is a night and day leap forward in about every way. This watch is much more user friendly along with the ability to go more than one day before you need to charge the battery.

This is my first smartwatch and I love it. I reviewed a lot of watches and decided on this because I am a Samsung fan and it was on sale for a good price. To me using the watch is very intuitive. The combination this watch and my Samsung cell phone makes a great pare. I would highly recommend it!

4 stars. Would be 5 if Samsung didn't lock specific features to Galaxy phones. I have a Nexus 6P. Pros- Samsung Pay. Notifications (Txt, all all various Messenger apps). Samsung Health. Negatives. Bluetooth headphones vs Bluetooth watch pairing. You can't have the phone audio connected to both at the same time. I.e. if you want to use your watch to answer the call but have it done through your phone you can't. (I think it works for Samsung phones, but not other Androids). You have to explicitly turn off the Phone pairing option for the Gear in the Bluetooth settings. What happens here is that you will only be able to deny calls from your wrist, not answer them. Hopefully they'll change this soon. Also you can only view your most recent messages. You can't type a reply (you'll need to pull up your phone for this). All in all, I'm happy with my first smartwatch purchase. One good looking watch as well. And the strap replacements are easy to swap and you have a decent amount to choose from online.

Bottom line: If you're thinking about getting a smart watch, do it! I was really impressed with the quality of the watch. Mostly, I was amazed at how much it really does. Battery life is good and charges fast as well. Best part is that it's not goofy/bulky looking. It looks like a normal watch.

I had the Gear neo, Gear S2 and now this watch. I am glad Samsung placed the ability to answer calls from the watch back in the Gear without need for additional service. Just need the phone within BT range. Best screen yet, and looks like a "normal watch". Standard watch bands work with this, too

This is an all inclusive watch that allows you to control all features of your phone from the alarm, phone calls, text messages, and emails. This was a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He enjoys having access to Samsung Health as a substitute for using his fitbit. Great product.

I'm really impressed with this smart watch. I've been wearing it for approximately one month now, coming from a second generation apple watch and former iPhone user, and haven't looked back. Great quality and easy to use, I rarely take it off. Best part is that it looks like a regular watch.

This smart watch has a ton of features. Is had a solid construction. The only issue it's the watch band. Either I make it too loose and it doesn't take your heart rate accurately, or it creates an irritation on my wrist from the rubber being tight and my wrist needing some room to move. This could just be my specific body and how I wear the watch. I do wish I bought the LATE, for a just in case. However this does the job well.

Samsung's Gear S3 is a great durable product. Doesn't lose connection with my phone, and gives me notifications in real time. Allows me to filter the notifications that really matter vs. the notifications that I deem secondary and can wait until I have a free minute. I can go 2 days on one battery charge (3 if I limit notifications, 4 upon adjusting a few settings) While the screen protector is recommended, This is the first watch I have not had one on and have never had an issue with a cracked or scratched screen. While it has the capabilities of Samsung Pay, Its a bit of a inconvenience to have to put a screen lock on the watch as every time you go to check the time or messages, it requires the screen to be unlocked. For this reason, I have given it 4 stars as I wish it had the same capabilities of the Samsung phone to recognize "approved devices" and locations to automatically stay unlocked, or just have the screen lock with Samsung pay app opening

This is an awesome alternative to the Apple Watch. The watch is very easy to use. It is really food for Samsung pay and great battery life. I am very happy with my purchase

I always go back to Samsung, I have a android wear watch and while the apps are nice on there the Samsung eco system is just more nice and easier to use. I had the gear s2 and was waiting for the galaxy watch to upgrade but then they went and took away the MST technology from it and only left NFC (which means that the watch only works at about 5% of locations versus 90% especially where I live) So I went with the s3. Samsung Pay is probably my favorite feature on the watch. The battery lasts about a day and a half with all of the features turned on which is nice for those extra long days at work.
