Great watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Gear S3 is a great companion to have with your smartphone. It is both stylish and functional. It is great for notifications and quick responses to texts without having to take out your phone.

Great watch/ tec
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great features and sized watch. Disappointing durability on the battery life and would have ideally liked the watch to be fully water proof but does tick all the boxes I was buying the watch for.

Works well, but large and heavy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great battery life, the rotating bezel interface should be industry standard, Samsung Pay (when working) is very useful. But it's a thick, heavy watch that almost requires a substantial wrist.

Good+, almost Great-
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from Apple Watch, it's been nice having a round watch that's 4mm bigger than the largest Apple offers (42mm). The design is sleek, it's a bit heavy on the wrist but you get used to it quick. The rotating bezel is an excellent addition that is much superior to the crown in accessibility and functionality, in my opinion. Where it falls a bit short is overall functionality. Often times it'll vibrate and I'll lift my wrist and it doesn't register the gesture, or it will register the raising gesture but it'll take a few seconds to display the notification..or it won't display at all and I have to turn the bezel to view. Battery life is about as good as Apple Watch IF you use Always On Display on full brightness. Regardless, it will get you through the day, but not so much "multiple days without a charge" as advertised, unless your watch-wearing intentions are mostly decorative. This is kindof the state of smart watches in 2017. Getting there, not quite there yet. If you must have a watch, I'd get this one again.

Does everything I have asked of it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this smart watch primarily for tracking my runs but the other features have come in very handy. While running my wife has called me and I was able to take the call without having to pull out my phone and she claims the call clarity was excellent. I have used the locate phone feature on multiple occasions, including when I left my phone behind at a store once. As soon as I walked in the store, it immediately synced with my phone and I knew that the phone was there somewhere and then used the locate phone feature, which took it out of mute and let me locate it quickly. The faces that come with the phone or the ones you can download allow you to change the look very easily

Great addon for Samsung user
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung Gear S3 Frontier is an excellent addon for Samsung phone user. It works seemlessly and provide useful notification on your wrist. With not too much use (check time and several notifications, pedometer, etc.), the battery can last more than a few day which is really impressive comparing to other brand that you have to charge on daily basis. It will not offer many apps since it is a Tizen OS but for someone who does not use many apps in the first place, this is ok for me. Only one donwside is it cannot rotate the screen, you must switch the band configuration in case you have certain way to wear your watch on left/right hand.

Best Smart Watch Ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at all the major smart watch brands and decided on the Samsung S3 Frontier watch since it pairs nicely with my Samsung Note 8 phone and ahs many customizable faces and many aps you can add to the watch, more than any other watch , even the Apple watch. I use the exercise and walking aps which got me to walk more and stop my office work and do some exercises when it tells me that I've been sitting too long. I get mu messages, news highlights, make calls and lots of other things this watch can do. I highly recommend this smart watch.

Love this watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I've already had to return my first watch due to a bad spot on the LCD screen, I really love this watch. Samsung Pay is awesome and there are way too many watch faces to chose from.

Needs Update
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I submitted a review after purchase that wasn't entirely flattering and now I don't see that review. Anyway, I mentioned how the device needed the Tizen 3.0 update and didn't see it for download. Samsung had told me the update was being rolled out in stages and I just hadn't come up yet. As it turned out the update dropped for me that day. The only thing I really wanted out of it was true fitness tracking with heart rate monitoring during workouts. I got continuous heart rate during workouts, but for some odd reason the device does not use that data to calculate calorie burn? It still uses a generic calorie burn for the amount of time you have the workout running, disappointing. All other things about the watch are great and even better with Tizen 3.0. But, activity tracking was a major part of why I purchased the Gear S3 and retired my perfectly capable Gear Fit 2. I would definitely recommend the device for it's smart watch features, but look elsewhere if your need is primarily for a fitness tracker.

Good with some reservations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this phone with my LG v20. After purchasing the S3 smartwatch I found that several things do NOT work unless you have a Samsung branded phone. First I can get a notification on my watch when I get a text message, but it doesn't keep the message for reviewing later (its on my phone so I have to go to my phone to look at the message if it contains information I have to retain, like a phone # or address). Once you are shown the notification it is not stored on the watch. There isn't any easy way to get to the text message "app" as there is no shortcut to the message application. Second, I really wanted to be able to "talk" to my watch to take voice memos and have it sent to my phone automatically. Well you can make a voice memo on the watch and the voice memo is stored on the watch but it is NOT sent to the watch as Samsung does not have any matching app I can install on my LG V20 that will "store" my voice memos. Apparently you have to use Samsung's Voice Memo application, but it is shown as incompatible with my phone. (i.e. it is only compatible with Samsung's phone.) This is really a disappointment for me as I really could have made use of this feature. I really find it useless if I have to review my voice memos on my watch and not my phone. Samsung continues to cripple its smartwatches unless you use their phone. I had the same thing happen when I had a Samsung gear Neo, that became useless to me when I purchased a LG V10, since Samsung made sure it only works with a Samsung branded phone. So buyer beware, if you want to be able to use ALL the features of this smartwatch you need a Samsung phone. Its unfortunate that they advertise it as being compatible with Android phones. BUT, they do NOT state what will NOT work if you don't have a Samsung branded phone. I probably would not have gotten this watch if I knew about all its limitations. Having said all of this, the ONE thing that I did NOT buy this phone for, but which I have found to work really well and is pretty amazing is Samsung Pay. I was skeptical that it would work well, but when I added my credit cards to Samsung Pay and tried it at 2 bars, Home Depot, CVS Pharmacy, Safeway, etc. it has worked flawlessly. Have never had it NOT work so far. I tried using Android Pay and most of the time it did not work, and I can only remember one time that it worked (at a Walgreens) and even then I had to try several times before it registered the payment. So I stopped even trying to use Android Pay. Now I look forward to using Samsung Pay because it has been so reliable and I don't have to unlock my phone to pay with an Application. You just LONG press on a button on the watch, type in a pin (one time entry as long as you don't take the watch off your wrist) and press the "Pay" button, then put the watch next to the area of the credit card machine where you would normally "swipe" your "card" and you get a beep when the payment is accepted. Usually about a second. So if Samsung pay is something useful to you, then you should consider this watch. It truly is convenient not having to take out my credit card from my wallet. It doesn't matter if the credit card machine does not support Apple Pay or Android pay because it uses a different technology. As long as the machine has a magnetic stripe reader it should work. I still think this is a good watch but with reservations if you do NOT have a Samsung phone.

Excellent Smartwatch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best on the market. Had to get rid of my old Moto 360 since it stopped working. This is absolutely heads and tails above anything else on the market. Personal preference, but I think the Apple Watch (square) just doesn't look good. This has a very polished look, like it was built with much consideration on how an actual watch should look. The functionality is fantastic. Like all the pro reviews have stated, it could use more apps though. Hopefully this comes in time.

Love my Gear S3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of not wearing a watch, I now wear a Gear S3. The Samsung Pay feature works almost everywhere and the cashiers are always impressed. It requires charging about every three days.

Samsung Pay NFC & MST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this over the competition because i have an S8, though the S-Voice is a pain and no native google maps support the Samsung Pay NFC & MST makes up for it. I can use it at almost all stores because of the MST. Hopefully, they find a way for Bixby to replace S-voice in future updates.

Very nice watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great, the battery actually lasts between charges and easy to use basic functions on it. I only have an issue with the app part of it, it's a little confusing on the phone and needing the corresponding app on your phone usually cost for the phone app. But overall a nice watch.
