I returned it and purchased one from Best buy because of their geek squad protection. The unit I purchased was not marked as open box but the tape seal had be cut already and the bezel did not rotate as smoothly as the previous unit.

It tracked steps, somewhat tracked stairs climbed, was waterproof for swimming and showers, tracked heartbeat and sleep stages. The altimeter tool sucked and wasn't accurate even to the nearest 1,000 feet, however, since that wasn't the main reason I bought the watch, I was fine with it. The watch held a charge nicely for the first week or two where I wouldn't have to charge it for a couple days and then it started going downhill rapidly. I started having to charge it once a day and then even multiple times a day and then one day it just stopped taking a charge and hasn't worked. Best Buy doesn't service this particular Samsung device warranty so make sure you get their protection plan. I'm dealing with Samsung directly for the warranty and they seem to be handling it well.
