Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Gear S3 Frontier Smartwatch's extended battery life, stylish design, and user-friendly interface. They appreciate the convenience of Samsung Pay, fitness tracking capabilities, and the wide range of watch faces and customization options. On the downside, some users express concerns about the limited app selection, large size, and weight of the watch, as well as the accuracy of the heart rate monitor.

A lot of money for not a lot of functionality or variety of watch faces that you don't have to pay additional for. Also, watch faces do not allow to get rid of step counting and show just HR instead. Battery life not what I had hoped for.

I purchased this for a Christmas present for my husband and even after the sales rep at Best Buy told me it would link with his phone it did not. I was disappointed because I always go by the advice of the reps there.

The watch looks good and works well, but if you're on a non-Samsung Android device, you have to do some tinkering (sideloading an older version of Samsung Pay, switching the voice input to UK English etc) to really get it to work properly.

Although this is the best smart watch that is available There is nothing that you would do better with this than your phone. I simply don't see the point of a smart watch until the reach the level of a great sport watch e.g., Fenix 3 from Garmin.

The hardware is awesome and functional. The tizen OS is lacking app synergy. In order to use some free or paid gear apps you may need to purchase multiple paid apps and they may not work without full device resets out reboots.

Good watch and fitness tracker. Like that it nudges me to move after sitting at computer too long. Convenient that I do not also have to carry phone to meetings. Would like to see more apps and better syncing with emails and messages.

Overall it's a good watch but I was expecting better. It's buggy and a little slow despite being new. I do like how I can shower with it worry free but I can't play music while it's getting wet. Speaker automatically stops.

I buy this watch a month ago. Today the screen have the logo of "Samsung Gear S3 Frontier" a d a message that says "rebooting" That it. The watch is dead a d do not respond to the buttons a d is disconnected from my Note 9. I look on Google to see a solution and Samsung don't say nothing about this problem. A lot of people are having the same problem for months and Samsung don't respond. I have an expensive watch that just work for a month. There is no recall from Samsung or any help from any place in the internet. This is going to be my last product from Samsung. I have 3 tablets from them and the Note 9 phone but I never going back to buy anything from them and I'm going to put this review in all the places that I can. Its unacceptable to have an expensive watch just for 30 days working. I give 1 star because I'm can't give them 0 stars.

Purchased this 6/25/18 and I already have to get an upgrade. It was a rock solid watch - needed a charge only every 4 days, withstood water fantastically, had a good range of apps for what I need, and I just love the dial. Unfortunately, out of the blue, it stopped connecting to my Galaxy S9+ (the phone can pick up on the watch but the Galaxy Wearable app "couldn't connect"). No factory reset can fix it and that really sucks. A year shouldn't be the life of a $300 watch.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend in February last year and around the end of February this year it started having issues charging like most of these reviews. In March the watch stopped working completely and wouldn’t turn back on or charge. Of course since it was out of warranty by that time I’d have to pay out of pocket for it to be fixed. Contacted Samsung a few times and was told I’d have to pay $70 just for them to look at it plus any additional costs to fix it. Clearly this is an issue with the watch and Samsung refuses to fix it or offer customers that have spent close to $300 for this watch any type of replacement. I’m guessing it’ll take a class action lawsuit for them to pay attention and actually offer customers something for this issue that is clearly a flaw with the watch. I will never purchase another Samsung product again! I’ve had my Apple Watch series 3 for almost 3 years and I’ve never had any issues with it. My boyfriend didn’t have this watch a year and it died. It’s just sitting here catching dust now since there is nowhere locally we can take it to be fixed and nobody is paying $70 just to have it looked at by Samsung. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money.

We were told by the In StoreTech that it was compatible with an Iphone and all features are not.. It is a good product for tracking your exercise each day, but tends to just go off and at unnecessary times without prompts.

For someone that doesn't wear watches often, it can be comfortable, but it also can be irritating. It doesn't do a whole lot and I mainly use it for fitness. I usually have my phone on me but it is good for meetings.

My issue isn't with THIS smartwatch, I'm guessing it's with all of them in general. My wife gave me this for Christmas and I'm sure it's nice and all, but i'm not quite sure how the darn thing works. And I don't seem to be interested even if I could find someone to show me how it works. Folks at Best Buy were of no help. So for now, it's an over priced regular watch that has to be charged every couple of days to keep it running that cost us $200 on sale. Would like to go back to my $25 watch from Academy. Good luck.....

In all honesty, I was expecting more from this watch. It is not compatible with my I Phone so much of the functionality I had hoped for just isn't there. In retrospect, should have opted for the Apple watch.

its a great watch with lots of apps, but you can't use it to its full potential without giving it access to everything on your phone, you can't pick and choose what permissions to give it without it not working.
