Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Gear S3 Frontier Smartwatch's extended battery life, stylish design, and user-friendly interface. They appreciate the convenience of Samsung Pay, fitness tracking capabilities, and the wide range of watch faces and customization options. On the downside, some users express concerns about the limited app selection, large size, and weight of the watch, as well as the accuracy of the heart rate monitor.

    Best Samsung Gear watch yet

Best Samsung Gear watch yet! This is my fourth Samsung Gear watch. I've owned the OG Gear (with the cool camera on the watch band), the Gear S (3g) and the Gear S2 (3g). I've also owned several other smart watches. What I like about this watch is: Looks: Looks like a stylish regular watch with 'always on face' option on. Received compliments on my watch and people didn't know it was a smartwatch (first of my smartwatches for this to happen). Size: Size is very comfortable. Worried it would feel too big, but it doesn't seem big to me at all (feels much smaller than Gear S, for example). Rugged. Besides looking rugged, I like the waterproof and shockproof nature of the watch along with more durable glass. My first few smart watches were vulnerable to getting killed by water when I'm outdoors. No more with this watch. Samsung Pay: This watch uses Samsung Pay to its fullest ... you can pay with this watch at places that don't take Apple Pay or Android Pay. If they just have a mag stripe reader this will work. It even works better than my S7 Edge phone, which is pretty cool. Plus paying with your watch really freaks some folks out. :-) Bezel: Bezel feels better than the S2 (S2 is a solid watch too). Battery life. With watch face set to 'always on' I get two full days between charges (with me using it frequently for email, text, payment and calls but gps off and wifi off). Biggest peeve for most watches is charging every night. Not with this phone. Try it out, you will like it.

    Great Smartwatch but Lacking Apps

After about 10 days of using the Gear S3 Frontier, I can say with complete confidence that the watch is nearly everything I hoped it would be. With a gorgeous display and nifty rotating bezel, it’s easy to navigate from one application to another. My favorite feature so far has to be Samsung Pay, and the fact that the Gear S3 comes with NFC and MST, which makes it usable at basically any cash register. The convenience of never needing to reach into a pocket to grab a wallet or phone to pay is remarkably convenient, and is always a way to get people to ask you about your smartwatch. On the flip side, the watch's lack of application support is somewhat disappointing. While it does have applications for things like Spotify, ESPN and Flipboard, the app lacks a decent map program, and including offline downloads for Spotify Premium would be a huge plus. However, there are a billion watch faces to choose from, so customization is definitely not an issue. Battery life for this watch is great. I have only charged it twice since I got it 10 days ago. I have yet to try out the always-on display, which I have heard can really drain a battery quickly. Overall, I love the functionality that this watch provides me on a daily basis. It’s become an indispensable part of my daily routine. While I wish that there was more app support right now, and that the fitness tracker was a bit more accurate, the things that the Gear S3 does well has sold me on its usefulness.

    Crossing new Frontiers

As a long time wearer of a very thin high end watch, I have been watching the wearable's market for several years. Until now I had not found anything that satisfied all my criteria to make the jump to a smartwatch. The S3 Frontier appeared to be what I was looking for, but the question was "Is it?" So far after 3 weeks it is hitting all the marks. Great packaging, great look, easy start up. The transition of moving to a larger face and thicker body on the watch is coming along. That is greatly outweighed by the numerous benefits that the Frontier S3 offers. One of my favorites is Samsung Pay. I have been using Samsung Pay since shortly after introduction and the ability to use it on my S3 is awesome. It totally blows away anyone who sees it work. I also like the activity reminders, the ability to get messages and email. I also really like the activity trackers, they help to keep me focused. The SHealth app for cycling seems to be very accurate, looking forward to better weather so I can test further. So far I have to say that the S3 Frontier "Is it!" I look forward to adding some additional apps, and to further customization as I get deeper into the features and capabilities of the S3 Frontier. I believe that Samsung has crossed the frontier of wearable technology with this smartwatch.

    The Perfect Watch!

What can you say about this watch that hasn't already been said? The design is amazing. The rotating bezel works perfectly. It is infinitely customizable. Change watch faces and bands, you can have a different watch look every day! It has Samsung Pay so you can leave your wallet at home! It has an IP68 certification so it can withstand dust, dirt and water. The battery last several days on a single charge. It has a built in microphone and speaker to answer calls, reply to text, and listen to music. On top of all that it also is one of the best activity trackers on the market! I know I just listed a bunch of things, but that doesn't even scratch the surface of all the things this watch can do. Why have a regular watch when you can have the BEST watch!? Buy this now! You will not regret it!

If you're going from an Android Wear, this will be a learning experience for you. There is no Google. There are some apps that won't work with this watch (Viper SmartStart). Don't get a Milanese band, as it looks too "puny" with the watch. It's very easy to swap out bands. The battery life is amazing. First charge was Monday through Thursday. Fully charged Monday morning, 32% Thursday night. I turn off the watch at night. Charging is soooo easy, just place on the charger. So much easier than the Huewai watch.

This my first smartwatch. I've had the S3 Frontier for a week now and have had time to customize its features to my preferences, It is very easy to navigate and easy to use. It has stand alone 4G LTE capability via AT&T so I don't have to tote my phone with me all the time. The Samsung pay feature is so cool, it is going to becomie my normal means of payment since my debit card bank account has been hacked a couple of times, I am done with using plastic cards at terminals. The watch is not as large as some may make it seem to be. It is a very good looking watch. I like that there are many inexpensive watch bands available to make the watch more stylish. It's like having a piece of the future around your wrist. I like this smartwatch experience; I am considering getting a S3 Classic too.
