In my opinion this is by far the best smartwatch out and I have had them all. What I likr most is that I don't have to take my phone into the gym. I have music downloaded onto it and it tracks my fitness and does nesrly everything my phone does for what I use it for. Well worth the price and I got a great deal for it so didn't pay full price. Also I love you can switch the watch faces and the ease of switching out bands. Those allow the watch to for from sporty, to casual, to dressy. IT'S AWESOME!!!

I purchased a Samsung S2 sport for my wife a year or so ago and she really likes it. It seemed better than my LG G watch, which was a couple years older. So, when the Samsung Gear S3 went on sale for $279 and included a free $100 Best Buy gift card, I decided it was time to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did. It is a great watch. I wish it was a little smaller, but it looks like the new model comes in a couple different sizes. But, for the price difference, I am happy with the S3 Frontier.

I didn't expect to like it so much. I'm not a super tech - geek, so I thought it would be unnecessary because I have a great phone. I was wrong. I use it continually, especially to talk when I'm driving. Good job, Samsung!

Love my Gear S3 Frontier. Excellent battery life, good to have notification on wrist and don't have to look for my phone. My work requires me to have charged phone and I receive page on my phone so it has to be with me to avoid missing emergency message. Now on my call day I can leave my phone charging without worrying about missing important text. Also due to addiction of social network, in past every time I take my phone out end up wasting time on FB. Now I don't check my phone that often, improved my productivity.

I hesitated a long time before buying as I was happy with my S2. I am glad I purchased it though as the S3 is better made than the S2. Ease of use is much improved. Still learning to navigate but it has more appa than S3.

Overall A very nice smart watch, it does not use android wear apps from play store but does have a good selection of apps on the samsung gear store. I found the silicon watch band to be irritating to the skin but plenty of alternatives available and after i replaced the band the watch is quite comfortable not real heavy or overly large

I was hesitant to spend the money for any smart watch. After seeing the Samsung Gear S3, and seeing how reliably all the functions work, I am really glad I took the chance. Really works well with the Samsung phone features

Samsung does it again. Great look and is bigger than gear swap and Apple Watch. A lot easier to use than Apple Watch and is not a fragile.

I'll start this review by stating that I am a huge tech geek. I work in the IT field. I follow all of the relevant blogs, websites, etc... that pertain to electronics and all the latest/greatest current and future consumer tech. I am a fan of Android and Windows, but by no means am I an Apple hater. I can appreciate great products/ideas regardless of their brand or OS. Heck the Gear S3 Frontier runs Tizen, not Android, and I am giving it 5 stars anyway. In fact if this watch were running Android 2.0 it would probably only have received 4 stars. Because I feel that the UI and fluid functionality of Tizen on this watch, along with the brilliantly conceived and executed navigational bezel from Samsung, is far superior to anything out there currently running on Android 2.0. Yes Android 2.0 gives you access to more apps in the Play Store. But how many different apps/games do you really need on your watch? All of the essentials that you need/ would actually use on a regular basis are available to you through the Samsung App Store. As well as plenty of other unnecessary but still well designed games/apps to choose from if that's your thing. I have owned/still do own multiple different Android powered smart watches starting as far back as the original Moto 360. I even own the Nike version of the Apple Watch 2 along with my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. Even though I own multiple different Smart Watches the gear S3 Frontier is the only watch that had compelled me to write a review. And I waited more than 4 months after I purchased it so I could thoroughly test it against the competition on a daily basis before I wrote this review. To sum it up: The S3 Frontier is more durable, easier to use, the phone calls are more clear, the watch is easily customizable, more comfortable on my wrist, looks/feels like a real analog dive watch, and even fits any standard 22mm watch band..... which makes it simple and cheap to swap out the band with any brand of 22mm band that you desire. If you're looking for a Smartwatch with the design/size of a standard analog dive watch then look no further.

I like the watch, i just wish it was fully water proof.

The Gear S3 is one of the best smartwatch this year. It provides me with every information that I personally need, from walking to climbing stairs, heart rate, news, phone calls, texting, etc...very well made. Love it.

Great out of the box, has to pass test of time and use

My gear s2 broke lst thaksgiving 2017 and this gear s3 was recommended hy the geek squad lady. I love my gear s2 but her recommendation is excellent. Love it. Wearing it everyday and its much better than gear s2. Im plannibg to get the new galaxy watch but so far im having a hard time departing with gear s3. The battery is excellent and steps count is very accurate. Never missed a call nor text or nitification. This gear is on point for everything. Love it and still loving it.

Love using a different watch face everyday! I also love the fact that Samsung Pay works on it. Cashier's are blown away when you pay with your watch! It is a bit laggy sometimes. But it's a great piece of technology!

This is a nice smart watch. It gets me through the day

I have been trying to justify a smartwatch for several years. After annoyance with getting notifications on a fitness tracker and no details while working out or riding a bike, decided it was time to enter the modern world. Since I have been using a Misfit Ray for a couple of years to track steps, I thought going with a Vapor 2 would make sense assuming it linked to the app. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was underestimating the impact an older chip has on the Vapor 2. So that went back and it was back to the drawing board. Since I made the change from an iPhone to an S9 last summer I decided to jump all in to the Samsung garden. Then the choice was to look at the new Samsung watch or take the value proposition with the Frontier. Not knowing what I was going to miss, I went with the Frontier and so far I'm enjoying my purchase. Something to keep in mind is that the Samsung apps are limited (that part is real) so if you want all of the app choices, stay with something running Android Wear. If you are content to stay within the default Samsung apps (on the phone as well for best integration) its a very positive experience. My only challenge thus far has been trying to figure out how best to use my BT headphones of whether connected to the phone and use the watch as a remote or directly from the watch. A very cool feature of the Samsung version of the Spotify app is you can download music to the watch (Premium account). Means you can listen to your spotify music without the phone. VERY cool in my opinion. I like the interface thus far of the buttons and bezel rotation. The vapor tries to do it all with the crown and it isn't as successful. Bottom line, if you want a smartwatch and have a samsung phone, you can't go wrong with this for $230!

Finally got on watch maker so now I can make designs.

I purchased this watch for my husband and he loves it. It has hundreds of features which made it a perfect gift for my tech savvy husband. He especially likes how it looks like a classic watch and it's stylish design.
