Very impressive sound quality, even when turned to the max. I was able to purchase this open box and was able to save quite a bit. Even without the savings I would have paid the full price after bringing it home and trying it out. Easy installation with the provided brackets.

This is a great soundbar for movies but not that great for listening to music. I recently purchased other sound bars that were suppose to be the best ones out but ended up just returning them. I tried the bose 700 and the higher end Sony ones but nothing competed with this one. You will not be disappointed!

This soundbar is amazing. Even at a low volume it fills the entire room. With the sub and the upward firing speakers, it gives a great surround effect. It is HUGE, however. Not that I mind, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as heavy and bulky. Definitely recommend.

I have of the first Samsung Q80's where I live. The new Q80 model just arrived at my local Best Buy the day before I bought it. I got the first one they sold. (05/23/19) I am downsizing and replacing a rather high end 5.1 system: . Floor standing Proac D25 towers, Proac Center channel and an SVS 200W 12" Sub) No, the soundbar does not equal that system. But for sheer simplicity, space savings and overall quality, it is great and does the job. I placed the 8" sub in the corner to maximize the room interaction. yet it simply cannot compete with the output from my former 12" powered sub. The soundbar and sub are however very nice and sound nicely balanced. I still need to explore settings more and spent time optimizing. It is on a wall with a tall vaulted ceiling that slants lower toward the listening area. So far I am pleased. But it cannot defy the physics that my larger system offered. But I no longer had room for that system without feeling cramped.

I’ve owned a few soundbars and this is by far the best I have heard. I bought this to go with my LG C9 OLED TV after being less than satisfied with the LG SL10YG soundbar. The sound is excellent with a wide soundstage!

We purchased this Soundbar at the same time as a new QLED TV and we are very pleased with the purchase. During broadcast TV and movies, the sound fills the room. The sound is clear and crisp. At times, the multi-direction speakers create an almost surround sound like experience.

easy set up - sounds good - fits good - does what I expected

The sound that this soundbar reproduces is phenomenal! I have it paired with the Samsung Wireless Rear Speakers and watching movies and gaming have never sounded so good. I will never go back to a traditional surround sound system.

I purchased this product to replace a Klipsch surround system I've had for years. While I don't believe this sounds as good. I Needed to reduce the footprint that the old speakers were taking up. This product sounds great for the space and I'm happy with a purchase.

I purchase the Samsung HW-Q80R Soundbar a couple of months after buying a Samsung QN55Q80RA TV. The video quality of the TV is so good that I wanted to upgrade the audio experience to match. Overall the sound quality is outstanding, whether watching movies, sports or the news. However, there is one significant and disconcerting flaw; the soundbar does not sync precisely with the video. The sound lags just behind the video. It's like watching a poorly dubbed movie or a movie that's been translated to another language. It happens no matter what the program source. I searched the Samsung Community Forum and found that this is know issue. I tried some of the tweaks suggested in the Forum, but in most cases you lose some functionality built into the system. Not good for a soundbar at this price point. Samsung needs to put out a fix to this major flaw fast.

Easy setup great sound great base. Closest soundbar i have found to get you surround sound without the clutter of rear speakers. Ability to control the idividual speakers lets you dial it in to your likes. Just an awesome soundbar with all the options and grwat sound.

Previously owned a better named unit and bought a Samsung TV and thought this sound bar wound better suit my TV and WOW it did! LOve the sound my great room buzzes with awesome sound when it needs to all I can say is you really have to experience it to believe it!

This sound system is well worth it. It sounds close to a full surround sound system, but with only two devices (soundbar and separate woofer). The woofer adds great depth. The different settings are easy to select for each situation.

We were a little Leary of the ability of the sound bar with woofer to give full body sound and surround sound. This sound bar is awesome. You can change settings and it really reverberates through the room. We would definitely recommend it.

This sound bar is a great addition to my home theatre. I have 2 issues though. 1. The Samsung smart features appear to require it be connected to a samsung smart tv. 2. It really needs the back speakers to be complete. (I ended buying the rear speakers seperate). I am happy other wise.

This is a great sounding sound bar. It is a little heavier so you'll need a universal bracket if you want to hang it. My only issue is, the sound (picture with people talking) to mouth movements on the screen is off a bit even after hitting the pair button.

I was very skeptical about paying so much money for a soundbar, but after hearing the sound quality from this Samsung soundbar, I would say well work it. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is you can't buy the same surround sound speakers that come with the step up model.

This sound bar is top notch. I purchased this to go with my LG OLED TV and it brings sound just like your in a theatre. I also listen to music on it. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Highly recommend it.

One of the things I wanted most was a soundbar that was clear, with good treble and mid ranges, and a bass that didn't distort or overwhelm the top end. (I'm a musician, so this really matters to me). This soundbar does all of that. My husband wanted theater-style sound. We did that with the addition of Samsung's rear speaker kit SWA-9000s, which goes on sale from time to time. Using these rear speakers saved us $275 from upgrading to Samsung's top of the line soundbar system, and they were a great addition to our setup. My only real complaint is that Samsung really needs better instruction manuals, both for the soundbar and the rear speaker kid. I did have to do some searching around to complete my setup correctly. Otherwise, we are happy campers!

It was easy to set up and works well with our Q80 tv. Don’t expect to replace a surround sound systems quality but nice option if you don’t want the clutter anymore. I bought as an open box and it was in great condition so the value was good also.
