Buyer beware!

We set up the sound bar, and the sound went out after 10 minutes. We unhooked everything and started all over. The remote quit working. Very frustrating. We returned the sound bar.

Thank you for sharing your review regarding the HW-B450 Soundbar. I am sorry your out-of-box experience has been less than ideal.
To synchronize your Soundbar audio and TV, press the SOUND CONTROL button to select AUDIO SYNC and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons. (Not available in “USB” or “BT” mode.)
If you are using a 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023 Samsung TV, it will have a feature called Audio Pass-Through. You can use this feature to correct your audio-sync issue if you are connecting to a Samsung TV. On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through.

Thank you for sharing your experiences regarding your HW-B450 Soundbar. I am sorry to see that your purchase has not lived up to your expectations.
There are a few steps you can do before contact Samsung Customer Support to troubleshoot the issue.
First, do a soft reset, you will unplug the power cord from the outlet of the subwoofer and soundbar for roughly 30 seconds. Then plug everything back in and see if this resolves your issue.
Next, try doing a hard reset. This will reset all of your settings and set the soundbar back to factory default mode. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN)buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
Lastly, do a software update on your soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B450 under Standard.
Download the update and install it via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how-to instructions on this page. Please know that Samsung Customer Service is here to assist as well.

You can try manually optimizing your settings by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND - GAME - ADAPTIVE - BASS BOOST - STANDARD
Additionally, there are two additional adjustments that can be made for bass and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down
2) Adjust the BASS or TREBLE by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control, then select
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics by pressing and holding the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds, make sure you also set the SOUND MODE to STANDARD.
