Great Sound In A Small Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is my first foray into using a Samsung sound bar (my others are by different brands) so I wasn't sure what to expect. Setup was pretty simple (although the remote leaves me less than thrilled...but thankfully I don't anticipate having to deal with the remote too often). This sound bar is pretty slim and has a better profile than the previous one I had which is definitely a plus. The woofer box was slightly wider than what I had but not a huge difference. Sound-wise this system has a very good, full sound with a nice array of options. I personally prefer the Surround option and the Adaptive one but that's just a preference. You can also tweak things with adjusting the Treble, Center, Top, and Subwoofer levels. Dolby Atmos is a great addition and sounds great when watching action programming. While the woofer isn't big it does pack a decent punch. There are 2 HDMI ports (one is the ARC one to connect to the tv, the other one I opted to plug my FireStick directly into). The area for these ports are a tad bit awkward but not too big of a deal. If you do need to go the optical route you would need to supply your own cable (although I didn't need it I was a bit surprised it wasn't included). I should also mention that since I did not use this on a Samsung TV I was not able to experience the Q Symphony feature. Others will be able to elaborate on it's benefit and how well it works. Overall, this is a great option for most needs.

The sound was ok and the bass was not very tight. For this price I would expect more. I ultimately returned the item and trying the Klipsch. The connectivity to the sub worked well. I had it about 10 feet away and did not have any issues. It just fell short for the price and performance. The sound bar looked good. The sub was sub par. :-)
